Amazing service from the staff and very ample room

We booked this hotel because of the shuttle service. However, when waiting for it at the airport, the bus did not have the Hotel's name on its sign, but "Melia" instead, so we missed it and had to pay 20 euros for a taxi ride. The next morning, we asked at reception and we took the shuttle to the airport without any issues

Location was good - 5-1o minutes from the airport. The hotel has it's own FREE shuttle to all of the terminals - which is great! Large room with a huge bed; pillows were soooo comfortable. Bathroom was well designed; towels were large enough for adult use - not those little ones that barely cover you. There was a fridge in the room; pen and paper. There was a TV but I didn't use it. The breakfast was definitely worth taking; as I had a very last minute check in, I had a 7 euro discount - which was excellent!

The bar wasn't open. You had to go and order drinks via the restaurant, which was time consuming when the restaurant was busy. It would be a good idea to have the bar reopen, particularly in peak times I think.

Overall the property was ok, but not very handicap friendly. i was in crouches and they never try to help me o provide a chair while checking, also the cars that park outside the hotel don't let de shuttle to the airport get closer to the entrance so I had to walk in crouches and with my baggages for more than 200 meters and the staff did 't care.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful at check-in. Note - there is only one trolley (that you have to load and unload yourself - no porter) which was inconvenient as we had to run back and forth from the car to the room loading and unloading our luggage - 5 pieces +). We didn't use any of the facilities as we stayed for one night and were all so exhausted that we just crashed into the room however when we asked for some boiling water from one of the restaurant staff (to make some tea in our room) they seemed very put out and not helpful, they gave us the boiling water, but not graciously - unfortunately - in fact, we wanted to go back for some more as the teapot was tiny however we all decided against it and went without. Overall it was very close to the airport which was the requirement, however, it wasn't noisy at all so that was good.

as above re the boiling water and luggage trolly. Also very limited parking if you are coming with a rental car for example.

We frequent this hotel whenever we have a layover in MAD. The hotel is closely located to the airport, rooms are comfy and there are some very nice restaurants in this neighborhood. Also breakfast is very divers and speedy.

There are 3 connected issues that could easily improve and would greatly improve my appreciation: 1) adjust the airport shuttle frequency to the expressed reservation needs: sometimes the shuttle is extremely full, I mean tightly packed, with people sitting on and standing around their luggage, 2) have the driver organizing people and luggage: travelers who arrive first take the first row seats and place their luggage blocking later-coming ones from easy entrance into the shuttle, and 3) man reception according to the number of people arriving in the shuttle: waiting time for reception check-in: when a full shuttle arrived at the hotel check-in times can be very long due to only 1 or 2 personnel attending.

We had a nice stay. Quiet, and we were fortunate to get a room two hours before check in, as we arrived early. We were very pleased with this extra service! The premises are a little bit old, but the room was clean and the bed was very good. The bathroom has a nice bath tube. I would say staying at this hotel is good value for money, and you'll sleep well and comfortably. We used the airport shuttle service in the morning, and we made our reservation for the first travel in the morning at 04.30 when we checked in. We were the first to make a reservation for the 04.30 travel, and the bus (including many passengers from another hotel who came onboard later) was full when we left in the morning. Thus, please remember to make your reservation as soon as you arrive to the hotel, and as someone else wrote in their review for this hotel, the hotel only accepts face to face booking of the airport shuttle, which means you should arrive early and not late the day before to be sure you make a reservation. (It is possible to walk to the metro and take a tram to the airpot from around 6 in the morning. This is a cheap alternative if you do not carry heavy luggage and don't travel too early. It is about 800-900 meters to walk from the hotel to the metro. We arrived to the hotel after travelling by train and then the metro.)

We paid 1 euro for every item we weighted on a scale close to the reception to test the weight of our luggage. Such services could be free. The gym is just a few machines, without any free weights, and the spa was not available. The hotel could easily have made the gym a significantly better.

Great hotel! Good experience! Just want to say two things, everything was clean, except the elevator! The restaurant ( employees are good) but the menu itself is awful! In Madrid you eat great everywhere, the selection is disgusting, is like you are not in Madrid. I had the salmon, it was not fresh! Those are my only negative points to remark! The restaurant really needs a great, big change! To become part of the excellent gastronomic experience, when you visit Madrid! Thank you!

The location to the airport and the shuttle service!

Given an adapted room for wheelchair bound people, if I'd stayed in that room I may well have ended up on a wheelchair. A wet shower like you get in SE Asia (3rd world) the staff were great the rooms were a disaster, the room we were moved to had bear wires in bathroom, towel rail hanging on by a thread, no way does this hotel deserve its rating. The breakfast which is raved about in other reviews, all I can say is they must have changed the chef...scrambled eggs literally swimming in something ice cold to the taste, the croissants were ok couldn't warm them up, but ok. Far better hotels nearby, 1st and last time I'll use this place.

The hotel room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast in the morning was good, with a variety of different foods to satisfy the whole family. We weren't there long but it was a good place to stay and the ride to airport was easy and convenient. Staff was helpful (though a bit overwhelmed with the people at check-in).

We had asked for one room to be a double bed instead of two twins and we weren't able to get that. There is not a lot of choice for meals in the evenings immediately around the hotel, but it is well connected to bus lines to take you closer to the city.

Comfortable and quiet rooms, nice garden terrace (once you figure out where it is and that it is open) with good food/drinks, very short shuttle ride to the airport.

Shuttle timing had just changed so the pickup times announced on the web for the airport were wrong which led to 30 minute wait in the sun - call for latest timetable! Hard to find the terrace where you can get food/drinks - need to go through a closed looking restaurant. Overall got the feeling that the hotel is going through a transition. Unpleasant woman at checkin (but other staff was friendly).
