Ibis Madrid Aeropuerto Barajas

Convenient for the airport, short Metro ride then a few mins walk. Very clean and I think recently renovated. Staff cheerful and very helpful. Beds comfortable and room quiet. Excellent breakfast - plenty of choice, and for once hotel toasters that produce quality toast in quick time! Fresh fruit salad was excellent. Also great choice of all normal breakfast items from around Europe.

Air conditioning only gave HOT air apparently it’s still classed as ‘winter’ and cold air only available in ‘ summer’ I couldn’t identify who does this odd classification.

Excellent hotel but no shuttle to the airport. I caught a taxi for the short ride, charged 20 Euros, I think I was ripped off.

Ideal location for overnight near MAD airport. 5-10 taxi minutes from arrivals/departures. Decent simple places to eat in the locality (Try La General, 2 mins walk). Notably friendly and helpful staff. Usual IBIS room. Clean, comfortable and functional.

Be aware that minimum price for any taxi leaving Barajas Airport is €20. So although this hotel is very close and convenient it is not actually cheaper to get to than others much further away. Trip back to the airport is a more reasonable €10-12. Taxi transfer is only logical method as staying at this hotel is all about convenience and maximising time for a good night's sleep.

After losing my phone in a taxi the two women at the check in desk were incredibly caring and went out of their way to help me try and get it back. Later that night the taxi driver returned it to the hotel and there was a rather unfortunate event where the driver demanded money and got the police involved. The gentleman who worked at the hotel did his best to deal with this for us as our Spanish is rather limited and basic. We could not have got through it so easily without his assistance. He went above and beyond, I cannot put into words how grateful we are. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable with a really great shower but it was truly the kindness and helpfulness of the staff that made the stay. I would not hesitate to stay there again. I just wish we could have seen the staff who helped us when we left so we could express our gratitude again.

The staff was really nice and welcoming. At the reception, at the bar, during breakfast and also at check out. Location is close to the airport, the rooms are clean and spacious enough for a short stay. Breakfast is also good, with a god selection of savory and sweet, fruits, I think everybody could find something.

It would have been nice to have coffee facilities and a minibar. Breakfast is a bit pricey, considering also the room rate. By the time I stayed, the airport shuttle wasn't operating, so not so much as an advantage being close to the airport, when you have to pay the transfer almost to the city center rate.

I was breaking a journey from Cuba to the UK via Madrid. The small town of Barajas is just metro (underground) stop from either of the Madrid airport stops. Barajas is a simple town to get around, predicated on a main street. There are a number of places to eat, led by two traditional Spanish bar/restaurants with a good range of national dishes plus some gastro-venues and fast food championed by Burger King. Accommodation ranges from _hostales_ to chain hotels all focusing on airport or local provision, as might be expected. Barajas is sufficiently distant from central Madrid to have its own provision even if some nearer-centre Barrios seem as big. There are a good range of general provision shops there. The buffet breakfast is great for the hotel size. The rooms are clean spruce modern style. The staff are friendly and professional. For anyone who doesn't speak Spanish I think some staff speak English, but as ever, English-only speakers or those who assume English to be universal should not count on this, because it's obviously and thankfully not the case anywhere. It also had a neat little café-bar

Nothing. It was welcoming, clean, accommodating. And not dreadful England drenched in Tory slime corrupting even the good stuff.

Great location for the airport - though fixed E20 taxi drive (4 minutes) doesn't help. Rooms basic but comfortable and clean. All staff friendly and helpful. Easy access into city centre by excellent subway service. Breakfast selection excellent, other basic meals and snacks available from the bar. Overall good value, good experience, will use again. No drawers or storage in bedroom, only a hanging rail and some small shelves. OK for a quick overnight stay. Otherwise all good!

Hotel is a no frills, comfortable, and clean place to stay near the airport. We like the fun, upbeat feel of the place. Customer service was excellent. Great place to stay and relatively inexpensive hotel prior to or after a flight, especially to or from the US.

Very good hotel. Outside parking is challenging due to the neighborhood. The hotel has an excellent parking garage underneath for a fee (I believe it was eight euros). If parking was free, I believe this would make the hotel even more appealing.

Arrived by taxi from the Chamartin station €20. Reception staff really welcoming. Paid & booked time for breakfast next day and on the advice of reception managed to avoid the time when 30 teenagers due to breakfast. Room basic but clean and comfortable. Bathroom great size with shower gel & shampoo. Breakfast buffet was ok and the coffee machine did great coffee. Several places to eat close by. Uber to airport the next day €6-7. A good stay

Could have done with scales to weigh our cases, unusually travelling with 4 checked bags.

This is a great hotel to stay at if you need to be close to the airport! It was even better than I had expected for the price. The rooms were a good size, with a large bathroom/shower and very clean. The hotel was very quiet and there is a large grocery store right next door. The hotel also has a little snack bar area and provides breakfast for a fee. You can also easily get food delivered if needed. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Easy check-in and check-out process. Overall, definitely recommend if you need a place to stay near the airport!
