Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center

A really good hotel close to the airport. The shuttle service from the airport works really well, so don´t pay 20 Euros for a taxi. The rooms were really good and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. This is more a business hotel, than a hotel for vacation.

I brought my own car, so I needed to use the parking at the hotel, and I believe that it was a bit expensive to park at the hotel, but the parking facilities were great. The location of the hotel is below average if you are a tourist, but if you are traveling for business then it is great.

It’s convenient when moving around the airport and traveling with a group and a big car. If you need to commute to airport, it’s perfect. If you’re not a big fan of hotel restaurant, it has a great ‘asador’ walking distance from the hotel.

Ridiculous restricted times to use pool. The pool is nice and functional for long swim drills, yet we didn’t had the time to enjoy it because of the times it can be used (opens too late and closes too early). On top of it, it’s too small when there are too many people and the hotel is huge! At the same time, the gym could have a bit of maintenance. Several machines were not working and dumbbells and equipment was missing. These 2 aspects are big misses on the hotel itself, which is a pity because it could have been a great stay if this can be resolved.

Great, clean and modern rooms. Nothing fancy, but everything was nice and functional. Liked the in-house restaurant (Kalma). Due to its size, it may get busy at the hotel, but I had the feeling that staff managed the situation well.

It's a (very) long way from the reception to where the room was. You could get lost (they provide a small map, though). Some automats in the lobby (drinks etc.) did not work. Not much else to complain about. The location is awful if you plan to quickly go to the city center. You definitely need a taxi. Public transportation is an option, but difficult.

I had a very nice stay. The Room was cleaned daily and staff members very helpful and nice. The Shuttle service offered by the Hotel was also good and it did help in getting around nicely. The front-desk staff were helpful in providing useful guidance on how to travel to City Centre. All was good and I would definitely recommend this for individuals who want to visit Madrid.

Just one thing if that can be somehow managed; I am presently based in Germany but I am from India and had some challenges with the variety of food. This is nothing against the Hotel as I understand very well that we cannot change Menu just for one individual. Overall it was a Good Experience :)

Clean, comfortable beds, pool

Our room was not cleaned for one day no fresh towels ran out of toilet paper, called reception three times did not answer walked down to reception, not busy at all plenty of staff to answer phone, complained we had no clean towels after they apologised it took them 40 minutes to bring us some towels. We had stayed in a much lower star hotel throughput our trip and always had fresh towels and room cleaned every day. Wouldn't have complained but when you Re swimming twice a day and a 38dg heat you shower more and require clean towels.

Making a connection through Madrid so only a 1 night stay. 10 minute ride by taxi from the airport. Room was quiet; comfortable bed; bathroom mid-size, modern and provided essentials. Free hotel shuttle to the airport was very convenient but only available about once an hour. The hotel is very large, and very modern and easily meets most tourist traveler needs.

The large size of this hotel/business conference hotel and business vibe- no greenery or warmth to the decor and architecture. Lttle additions like large floral arrangements would help immensely. Easy to get lost looking for the breakfast room and front check-out area due to the size of the property. Hotel free shuttle should be offered at least every half hour.

Room

I have personally (not phone) notified about my late check out and accepted the charge of the rate that they say was about 35€ but when I receive the bill in my email I notice an extra charge of +200€. Not sure if there is a misunderstanding but the front desk lady did not discuss the bill with me. Unfortunately I trust in the name of Marriot and did not not ask for the hard copy of the bill so I couldn’t make the claim immediately.

+ Friendly Staff + Flexible and early Check-In when clean rooms available + Modern and cozy interior design, specially in the lobby + Large room, large windows + Comfortable bed + Clean bedsheets, towels etc. + Extraordinary Breakfast diversity and fresh ingredients + Large breakfast room and yet a quiet and harmonious atmosphere

- Very far from city center (need Taxi if you don't have a car and that will be costly) - Not that close to Airport (need Taxi) - Room windows to inside yard and other rooftops not attractive to watch - Room curtains do not match the high quality of the Hotel - Small stains on walls or curtains

All the common use facilities were very nice, good design, smart concept. The food was nice as well. Very important was the parking, for my big car it was amazing. The staff was friendly and ready to help. What more is very important are WC of general use, they are amazingly clean and smell best perfumes. This is 10 points of 10!

There were a lot of small things that were not good. For instance, carpet in the room looks very used, the room doesn't look and feel cozy, it took me half an hour to find out how to call the reception, the phone had not any information neither the room number nor any numbers to call, the information paper with all the QR codes was very confusing. When I asked for bloody mery on the bar it was finished, the fish in the restaurant a la carta was not, the orange juice half an hour before closing the breakfast was not any more. It looks like the hotel leaves now not the best times and has minimum of everything. Another unpleasant situation happened with the automatic food/beverage machine. My kitkat bar cost me 6,30 because was charged 3 times because the instruction was only in Spanish.

Amazing facility! Staff were lovely and really cared about customer service. The rooms were very comfortable and very quiet! During our travel in Spain one issue we had often was the lack of sound insulation, so it was a joy to have a peaceful night without being woken up. I picked this hotel for our last evening in Spain before flying home. The convenience of the location adjacent to the airport was great with a regular scheduled shuttle bus to the terminals.

Not a lot I didn't like about the hotel. One thing for visitors I did wish I knew beforehand is that the shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport is on the smaller side and only accommodates a few passengers at a time. If you don't line up early enough you will have to catch the next one. That being said, its only a 15min drive to the airport terminals, and an Uber cost me only $8, at the time of my visit.
