Pacific Bay Resort

Room was lovely but we didn't get to make the most of it because of the late check in. Staff polite & tried to be helpful. Wedding event we couldn't fault, absolutely beautiful grounds & catering delicious.

The 3pm check in! My son's wedding was at 3:30 at the resort it was impossible to get ready in our room. Dissaappointing to say the least. The buffet breakfast was the worst I've ever had .Pathetic!

Hotel is well situated but the decor and rooms are somewhat tired. The bottoms of the cupboards are chipped and worms, chairs in the dining room the same. After the first night we decided to stay an extra night but our room was not serviced so we ran out of essentials (tissues, toilet paper etc). The checkout was unpleasant. We were told we had only paid for one breakfast in our package when the room was booked for 2 people. So we paid more than we had been quoted. This always annoys me as it is almost fraudulent.

The resort is a ten minute taxi ride from the town of Coffs Harbour. There is a small nine hole golf course, a swimming pool and spa. There is a small ocean beach a short 3 minute walk away but it is not supervised and dangerous for swimming. The food in the resort was good but there are much better restaurants in Coffs Harbour - especially Latitude 360 which is superb. The Wi Fi service is very patchy which is a big problem in this part of Australia but very frustrating. So a nice place to stay for a conference but I'm not planning to come here for a holiday.

The staff i dealt with after i refused the first room offered which was located almost underground and in dark location - with stairs my friend couldn’t cope with - This was inappropriate for two women - then i dealt with other reception staff who were terrific and re accommodated us in easy to enter room .. and it felt safe then returning at night

Receptionist who designated a room which was very difficult for two ladies over 60 to find / get too with bags from parking in dark ! Lack of security around the rooms .. strange few random men were loitering around far end of property - one swimming in the hotels mini lake ..😳😬. Special thanks to receptionist Malia - she was exceptional

Loved our room with a great view of the lake and surrounding hills. Didn’t expect a balcony or spa as they weren’t the top priority. I upgraded to a one bedroom for the lounge so we could sit down and read! It was a great way to start our overnight stay with the extra space and watching the sunset. Bed was comfortable and loved the room layout. Even though we were a quick stopover I would have loved to have had time to explore the resort more. Ate at the Bar & Grill restaurant and loved my Beef Rib and hubby enjoyed the Lamb Shoulder. Will definitely go back. Staff friendly too!

The gardens and buildings appeared to have recently been renovated, the location to the beach was a lovely short stroll, the gardens very neat and well maintained and inviting to wander around, the restaurant was well priced. Pacific Bay felt and looked like a resort. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. Rooms quiet. Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and happy - the food good.

Our room desperately needed an update. The furniture and air conditioning looked like the original from 30 years ago - and so did the toilet seat - such a simple and easy thing to change!! The apartment was clean, maybe a little more care with vacuuming - neither myself or my partner have long blonde hair!!

No traffic noise could be heard and the relaxing view from the balcony was lovely. Resort staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasant experience to eat a meal in the restaurant whilst observing the koi swimming nearby. A waitress was kind enough to provide me with food to feed the koi.

Even with a map provided by Reception, my room was difficult to locate so I asked a lady for directions and she told me that she and her husband also had difficulty locating their room. Maintenance had to be called due to a bedside lamp power source being inaccessible. On arrival, my room had a lived in look due to bed pillows and towels being untidy.

Always love staying here. Service is excellent and staff are always friendly and obliging. It has everything you need and more.

A warning about the construction or refurbishment of rooms above us. It was no bother most of the time and the workers carrying it out were very respectful however after a late night out our sleep in was broken by debris thrown off the balcony into a pile next to our rooms external wall. No harm done just a slightly earlier wake up call lol. Otherwise you can't fault the service and amenities at the resort

Staff where all lovely, in particular, Zac B in the Restaurant/Bar. Check In staff where great, too. Lovely coffees and a PERFECT lemon-lime Bitters! Food was delicious, Calamari for Bar Lunch and Panna cotta for desert- fantastic. Grounds where looking amazing, parking plentiful and i enjoyed the Room, Location is great, right at the Beach and Very close to Banana World (Big Banana) Had a great stay, would stay again :) TB

I spent 2 nights, very little to fault for the price paid. Super happy with the whole experience.

Staff, friendly, service great. Room, tidy, could be a tad clearner round the doors. Rooms comfortable. The food is very nice and has good value for money. The only disappointment when travelling around Australia from the UK was no safe. When I asked about a safe staff member, they did say you can leave items in their safe. But it would be better if rooms had a safe. we are travelling from Sydney to Brisbane, and this has been our best hotel yet.
