Absolute Beachfront Opal Cove Resort

We just stopped here for 2 night driving home from Sydney, but we loved it! It has those big international resort vibes and is very well catered to guests, we will definitely come back in the summer to make use of the pool for the kids :) for this trip though they loved the heated spa, and even braved the waterslide. And the rooms have Netflix, making it relaxing in the roos. We got two joining suites for our family and had so much space, but hopefully there are family rooms with more facilities next time

The parking outside was a bit strange/unfamiliar, and was a bit annoying this time as it was raining. The pool area could use a bit of an update re the shades, bit of fixing and painting ect

great and clean facilities, comfy bed and exceptionally pleasant staff. each staff member I came across was polite, warm and happy and keen to help- despite my absurdly late arrival with my young boys.

arriving very very late at night it looked like I was at the wrong place! was all set up for a convention and non outside lights on. the tinted doors gave the illusion that the inside lights were off too- honestly, this minor thing which is actually a me problem is the only negative I can think of, aside from not being able to book a second night due to the conference booking out the resort.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cocktails were the best I’ve had outside of Hawaii. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was amazing.

The pool really needs to be heated so you don’t have a million people trying to use the spa because the pool is like ice. Also the mini golf needs to either be done up or removed as it was obvious it gets no attention and is not really suitable for kids. They need walls around each hole, and on level ground.

the staff in the restaurant & bar where amazing, so friendly and welcoming, and the spa ladies where awesome, they where very professional and so knowledgeable, we would defintly be back for these experiences

one of the receptionists was rude over the phone when asked questions about the availability of foxtel / Movies, on the second night of our stay, however the others where lovely. It would be nice if there was some sort of movie channels or basic Foxtel available.

the opal cove resort was absolutely super the location is amazing,kids friendly and the facility is wonderful very clean and the resort is great place to escape surrounded by the tranquility serenity by the ocean,nature and open space. we are really enjoyed with our children we will love to book our next holiday again for sure thank you.

The staff could be a little be more friendly to their customer and also the restaurant food a Little bit expensive and could be better choice.

We chose Opal Cove because it was the half way point between our families, and it had vacancies

The 4 bedroom apartment was booked for two families with young children. When booking the ages of the children are a requirement, which should have indicated the need for parents and children on the same floor. The Children’s beds were upstairs and the parents downstairs. This setup was most unsuitable for the two families. The apartment should have been set up with the appropriate bedding plan.

facilities for the children were great, and the service at the restaurant was exceptional. we came with a group of 30+ and even without booking at the restaurant, they catered to everyone’s needs and the service was still fast.

check in wasn’t good! we had moved the arrival back by one day, the money was taken from my account within minutes, but booking hadn’t been changed - so when we arrived at 5pm we had to wait for them to organise our apartment for us. The apartment was spacious, but not as clean as I’d of liked, there was a little bit of a damp smell in the hall way. The water pressure was terrible, there’s no point in the lovely big bath in the apartment as there was never enough hot water to fill it up. it wasn’t cheap to stay in the apartments and therefore I’d expect these things not to be an issue.

The property is showing it’s age and in need of a bit of freshening up. The restaurant is far too expensive $30 for a buffet breakfast is too excessive. There are no facilities offered to make one’s own breakfast which seems a little odd. I booked my room six months in advanced and found myself stuck in a room with no view, on the ground floor near the road, which was noisy in the evenings and early mornings with cars coming and going.

From the moment you walk in you will be amazed - the foyer is stunning with a beautiful water feature and double staircase. Plenty for the kids to do - putt putt golf, arcade games, plus happy hour drinks for the parents! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. There is also access to a private beach.

We went at the end of winter and thought it would have been great if the pool was heated. We still enjoyed the warm spa though :)

Only a few minutes drive to main shopping precinct, big banana and beaches as well as the beach and lagoon on your doorstep, games room for the kids, pool, spa and restaurant all onsite and well maintained and restaurant is great value for money and so convenient when having a few afternoon drinks and not wanting (or legally able) to drive Off site or wanting cold delivery food they have a good selection and very reasonable prices as well as good serving sizes. Definitely be back for another visit thank you all at opal cove resort staff my family and myself had a great stay well done.

The location is so close to the town centre but feels like your in your own little sanctuary by the beach, being set on so many acres it feels quite secluded with plenty of space to walk around and peace of mind that there is little chance of outside visitors ruining your peaceful location. The kid's really enjoyed being able to spend their pocket money winning stuffed toys from the games room and the pool area.
