Nightcap at Ocean Beach Hotel

The room was nice, a good size, and comfy. Great service each day to refresh the room and makeup the bed. The property location is a great base for day trips to any of the Central Coast locations, with easy short walk to Umina Beach. Easy and simple to have a main meal or 2 downstairs at the Bistro during our stay. Good and helpful information in the room and on the website. Free WiFi, worked really well. Nice friendly staff.

At either side of the bed is a little 'table' - great for putting things on, but would be better if these are a little unit with drawers, so that storage for a few things is then made. But really, everything was fine and in line with our expectations for this style of accommodation.

The staff were super friendly and helpful Check in process was smooth, using a link texted to your mobile you could check in online and complete details and payment so when you arrive it’s as easy as picking up your room card/key The rooms were extremely spacious Bed was super comfortable Bathroom was spacious and clean, walk in shower Soap bars, shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all supplied (2x each - very generous considering room rate) Air-conditioning worked fantastic particularly on an extremely hot day TV worked well and streaming services were available Pub downstairs served incredible meals (full rack of pork ribs was to die for!) Couldn’t hear noise or traffic down in the pub/beer garden even with live music playing which was appreciated In room dining available via QR Code was super handy Notepad and Pen provided which is always a bonus! Free on site parking behind the building (pub car park) Very central to woolworths (across the road), eateries and restaurants (surrounding), beach access (nearby) Would 100% recommend Night Cap to anyone wanting a quick stop over or for those that are happy to stay longer and eating from the pub or local eateries right at the doorstep

No lift access - completely ok for me however may restrict other guests requiring disability access or those not fit enough to use the stairs As I was travelling with pre-packed meals a microwave would have been nice in the room however if I went down to the bistro I’m sure they would have been more than happy to heat my food but glad I took the chance to get a meal from the bistro instead as it was delicious!

The location was close to the beach and shops. Rooms were spacious, clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and surprisingly quite for a hotel on a main street. I appreciated the warning about the music that would be playing down stairs until midnight but that was on the Saturday night so we missed it. Free wifi so I was able to watch Netflix and access YouTube on the TV. Easy check in and out.

Location is fantastic and would come back to stay . Good size room Nice bathroom,great shower head and quick hot water Clean room ,comfy bed. Relaxed feeling around all areas of pub

Doors banging closed by other guests late at night . Sign should be on the back of the door reminding guests to not bang door closed but to close it quietly especially late at night .. No one often at reception and a sign should be on the desk with phone number to call if unattended and not only in an email one has to then look for.

The room was quite spacious and the bed comfy. in fact there were 2. A Queen and a single.

I think $200 a night for essentially a pub hotel regardless of it being a long weekend is outrageous. They do however give you 2 complimentary house drinks vouchers included but if you’re not a drinker then they’re a waste. The mini fridge in the room roars like an engine and kept me awake half the night.

Loved the room, quiet, clean, great shower. Food was FABULOUS

The tables in the main dining area were REVOLTINGINLY STICKY. We had to place serviettes on the table, like placements, the paper stuck to the tables. We watched the ladies clean the tables, a quick short spray, wiped over with cloths nearly black. Ugh! Hot soapy water would work better.

The bed was excellent, so comfy. The tv was excellent and the room and bathroom really very spacious. The shower mixture was horrendous, after spending about 5 or so minutes to get the mixture set it would suddenly get scalding hot or freezing cold mid shower. I tried so many times to correct it but would give up because even the slightest touch either way would send it to extremes.

Accomodation above a pub. As we stayed on a Monday, it wasn't an issue at all. Weekends are supposedly noisy. The room and bathroom are fine. The drainage in our bathroom was a little smelly and there was some dirt/ dust in a corner. Free parking on streets around the hotel. Number of shops close by including Woolworths. The little complimentary breakfast box is a sweet idea.and thumbs up for providing enough milk.

Compared to similar places in the area it's not the cheapest but we chose for it due to better ratings for cleaniness. Considering the price bracket, we found ocean cap quite ok and satisfying.

Bed comfy, close to shops, bistro handy and Netflix was a bonus. It was nice to be able to walk to my family gathering after travelling so far to visit. It is close the the major clubs and cafes , so that gave us choice.

Was disappointed in the cleaner vacuuming at 3.15am and the fridge compressor was loud so my sleep was interrupted. Street noise was also loud until early hours of the morning. Pokies could also be provided for non-smokers, it was all smoking.

I loved the convenience of the location & how it is situated so closed to the beach, grocery stores & restaurants. The room itself was also surprisingly amazing. It was so clean and modern, and very tidy. The bathroom was also very modern and spacious.

there’s not much that I didn’t like about the property, only complaint is that the mini fridge in the room has some noise to it but is tolerable
