Ibis Styles The Entrance

The hotel provided an access and certain discounts for the club next door, they cooked through whole day, which was very handy for us, especially when other restaurants closed at 2.00/3.00pm. In the evening, they were open till 2.00am. Whole hotel and room smelled very nice. Staff was friendly, helpful and smile all the time.

The hotel by itself looked bigger than actually it was, our room was quite smaller than we were expecting. The continental breakfast was served next door, but it was measured per person, for me as a big eater wasn't enough, but you could buy some extra eggs or bacon. It is located close to lake, but not really close to main street, you have to walk a bit or use your car.

The service at the RSL club next door was pretty poor but the hotel is not responsible for this part of the property I guess they had a robot delivering meals seriously crazy quite pathetic I seriously wondered who was managing the club I man sure this club could do well under great management it was very quiet and this was just around Christmas so I expected it to be busy and great Christmas theme but it wasn’t and the staff don’t appear to be very well trained but hotel staff were efficient and friendly so we do go back there a couple of times a year for family reasons but the club doesn’t seem to get any better a real shame

The actual motel is great the club and food not so much

The club that supplies the food which is connected to the hotel is ordinary fruit salad served in a plastic container like your buying takeaway we stayed two nights and each one of us ordered tea each one received a different serving eg small pot of tea large pot of tea and a cup of tea couldn’t work this out as we all had the same continental breakfast so I should have been given a pot and what is the point of giving us a pot and milk if your not going to give us enough water to make a second cup also the breakfast cereal was like one tablespoon of cereal also they now use a robot seriously what a joke not going back if this is their attitude to employment of staff also thought they could have put more Christmas decorations up

I dont think the staff with whom we ordered breakfast in the Club was fully awake as parts of the order never arrived and then we were told we only ordered one not two. Toast was particularly difficult- very thick and white! No marmalade available. The staff in the evening were much better. We only had breakfast once. Pillows were two plump for my liking. We did visit Shelly Beach but because it was a warm day, parking was limited. We read our books for a while and left. We were hoping for a view of the ocean but only saw trees!

Clean hotel, easy access to local area and local club. Very happy in the end.

Upon arrival being told the room was ready, and when we went up to our room on the 4th floor the door was wide open and the housekeeping staff were having their lunch (a curry based meal) and beverages in our room. The room smelt disgusting - so I went to reception and got an apology from a staff member and we were upgraded to a better room on the 2nd floor. I was not happy initially but very happy to have been upgraded. From there on it was a lovely stay.

No microwave in room Nothing to do with ibis but not impressed with the diggers cafe restaurant at the club , paid $60 for a meal club member also ibis guest spoke to staff clearing tables asked them not to clear my table as I had to take my toddler to the toilet wasn't finished eating... Came out food gone from table and was told too bad U left the table it's been thrown out, kitchen was closing so neither of us got to eat the $60 meal went to bed hungry and when complaints were made to reception nothing was done absolutely disgusting considering I'm a club member and return guest to the ibis not happy at all with the inside/outside cafe restaurant at the diggers

Mum and I were on the level where the bridge was to the Diggers Club. We were able to meet friends for dinner. Mum has a disability sticker on her car and we were able to get a wonderful parking spot under the building with the lift to access the room. We were so grateful. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Mum and I were very impressed. We were heading north to Ballina to see Mum's sister and our first night at the Entrance so we could see a relative in a nursing home in Erina was fantastic. Thank you.

Central location near The Entrance. Great service from reception staff on check in and throughout our stay to check out. Room itself was very nice, good size, comfortable queen bed although a king bed would be nice. Otherwise great size TV, modern generous bathroom with walk in shower. Clean and spacious, great water pressure from the shower and modern shower rail. Kitchenette has everything you'd need. A short walk from level 2 to the adjacent club for dinner and entertainment. A five minute drive to The Entrance, Bateau Bay etc.

Only a handful of undercover spaces under the hotel itself near the lift but plenty of outdoor spaces as it shares the car park with the club.

Great location. All staff bar one were very friendly and obliging. Access to the club and meals excellent addition . Upgrade for seven days was great also. And for Lake view rooms, wonderful outlook.

One staff member was quite unpleasant to deal with. The wifi sign in with new code every day was archaic. Annd it it could be slow and drop out altogether. TV channels limited to most but seemingly not all free to air, no cable TV TV of any sort that we could find. Sadly, for the price poor wifi and TV seems unacceptable these days.

Cleanliness Reception staff very helpful and friendly. I was given a room for a disabled person because I had requested an extra bed. The reception staff member Wayne did offer me another room but I declined. Undercover parking

AC didn’t seem to be very cool despite running on high so I didn’t sleep well. Food at diggers was very good but service and friendlessness was lacking Vent in bathroom was not very clean
