The Galaxy Motel

Room very comfortable, beds clean as expected, supplies of tea, coffee, milk, sugar & cookies plentiful, staff all more than helpful, cheerful & hard working, free Wi Fi was an added bonus as was free car parking. Clean towels always plentiful and available. Nice shampoo, hand wash & shower gel supplied in the huge bathroom. Nice double wardrobe, ironing board & iron also supplied, very good reception on the large T.V. Will definitely stay here again & have recommended this very popular motel to friends & relatives.

This is an observation rather than a complaint : Our huge bathroom & kitchen tiled floor areas could have done with more attention to historic stained areas under sink cupboards and the surrounds & corners, it was a lovely big bathroom with very nice shower & adequate storage cupboards. In fairness the poor cleaners are not really allocated enough time to be perfect, they certainly do their best in the limited allocated time allowed to them, they were always polite & helpful.

We had a bit of trouble finding the entrance due to the renovations at the RSL next door. Despite the renovations, the room was really quiet. No noise from outside, the adjoining rooms or room about. Excellent sound proofing. There was filtered water & everything needed in the kitchenette. Very good bed. RSL next door with a good menu, Thai restaurant & Grill'd nearby & a small shopping centre. Very convenient.

The hair dryer wasn't working & the shower door leaked if it wasn't closed correctly. Minor problems. Need better signage for the entrance while the renos are being done. You have to drive through the RSL carpark to find the motel at the rear, bit tricky at the end of a long stressful drive in bad weather.

Beautiful clean, modern rooms, comfortable beds, loved the kitchenette too Reception & staff were lovely & friendly, as were the other guests Pool is awesome, sauna is amazing RSL right nxt door Great location all around Thankfully no contruction site work was happening during our stay so that was great We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would stay again

Spa was a little less than ideally maintained, could only tell that once the jets were turned on, just needs a good drain & refill, possibly more chlorine but it was lovely anyway

Centrally located. Rooms to cater for all different family sizes. Clean, comfortable and they give you a free RSL membership to enjoy a meal at the RSL right next door. The staff are very friendly and the reception is open when you need them.

This would be splitting hairs but when we stayed there was a lot of construction going on. But this will only be temporary and obviously will benefit those staying in the future. The pillows weren’t the best, bit hard and lumpy. Apart from that there really wasn’t much I didn’t like. We had a great stay.

The location was fine for our needs on this trip to Melbourne as we have stayed here on many occasions in the past but we’re disappointed that the Club doesn’t have a breakfast anymore

I had asked for a ground floor room when booking but had been allocated an upstairs room but this was fixed very quickly and that was appreciated and when we returned on the 17th July were given room 12 and that room wasn’t as good as room 14, the shower was hard to adjust and my hubby ended up with a cold shower and when the breakfast came the eggs and bacon were cold, it was supposed to have two slices of toast be they came with one piece cut into two along with no butter on them and no butter provided, and had to call reception for some to be delivered and the other breakfast being just bread for toast came with not one lot of butter for the two pieces very disappointed all round on that breakfast that cost $19.20

We found the Galaxy motel very good. good location for us as our family were staying at Umina so not too far to travel. Room was clean the bed comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The construction work that was going on, but that wasn't any one fault the building has to be done and will be very good when finished. We were told about it when we booked so that was fine. and we weren't there during the day so only early morning, so it was a good wakeup call.

The address of Central Coast Highway is misleading. It would be better to say Yallambee Avenue as there is no entrance from Central Coast Highway. We spent time driving on the Central Coast Highway looking for the place and it was only by chance that we noticed a small sign on the highway which enabled us to turn into Yallambee Avenue. There is construction happening right next to this motel but inside the facilities are of very high quality and the RSL next door was ok for a meal.

Easy to find. Easy to park. The room was large, clean and well appointed. The central grounds/pool area was very pretty. This is a bit unique - but having Bunnings located across the street allowed us to quickly pick up a few practical items while enjoying the central coast. Appreciated the RSL restaurant (and membership card given). We would stay here again.

As stated on the website, there is construction going on. Our room door faced the construction site - but once in the room, everything was great.

Well appointed room. Nothing missing, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Includes full sized ironing board & iron. Coffee machine & capsules were great! Biscuits were a nice touch too. Awesome hearty breakfast - huge! Very friendly approachable staff that were keen to help and advise about local amenities and locations.

Gravel carpark was spacious but it was quite full, as it is shared by the Gosford RSL. It had a massive pothole in the middle of it which was had to avoid and see late at night. It is understandable though due to the construction happening at the Gosford RSL which is right next door.

The location next to the RSL and included free membership for discounted drinks and food at the RSL was great. The room suited the four males travelling for a golf weekend away perfectly.

One of the bed was missing a caster or leg and slumped in the middle and a guest felt like he was constantly falling out of bed. Could have been the beers consumed at the adjoining club but the leg was missing
