Sapphire Palms Motel

This was one of the cheapest options when booking a room for one night in The Entrance, just to sleep in (we had a function to attend all afternoon and evening) so I wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room very clean with everything you need, the staff very friendly and hospitable, and a pool with a small waterslide and spa. It was cold so we didn’t swim but I know my young son would have been entertained for hours had it been warmer and us less time constrained. Very pleased with our experience overall, bed nice and comfy and they offer a free basic breakfast in the morning which is a lovely touch. Our room was right in front of this communal sitting/breakfast area so we did wake up to light chatter and talking but to be honest it didn’t bother us and we probably should of been out of bed anyway, check out was upon us! It is a cheap motel by most standards but I have to say that the owners have made an effort to keep the place clean and comfortable and seem willing to chat and help out wherever needed, not that we needed much. It was a tight park next to our room and I was touched that the staff all got up to move tables/ chairs and help direct me out when they saw I was having trouble. As someone who usually stays in large chain 4-5 star hotels I really don’t have any gripes with this place. You get what you pay for, for sure, but at this motel I feel like you get a little bit more considering it’s one of the cheapest options.

The room was excellent. It is an older style motel however the rooms have been nicely upgraded to modern facilities & decor. The bed was very comfortable. The room incudes a lounge which makes it very comfortable to relax. The pool looks to be good however we did not stay at the motel with the intention of using the pool

Parking on site could be challenging if there are a number of SUV, bus or ute type vehicles on site at the same time as the parking spaces are more suited to medium size vehicles.

i slept well in a comfortable bed ,room clean and nicely presented

As I stayed in room 6 ,It has an adjoining door to room 7 ( that was Locked, which was fine ) However when the Guests arrived for that room I could virtually hear their conversations and visa versa. maybe you could address that issue from a privacy point of view. Now the Bathroom shower recess leaks into the floor grate outside the recess after a shower, needs attention also the Cold tap in shower is noisy when you turn it on and needs attention and that tap is a basin type which is shorter than the hot tap is .I suggest you buy a new shower tap set ( not expensive ) and that will fix that

On arrival the staff were very accommodating. We were shown a few rooms & got to pick the room of our choice. The room was very clean, spacious & comfortable.

The self serve continental breakfast in the kitchen was a lot to be desired. The bread was hard & we bought our own spreads as there wasn't any provided for the toast except for the margarine.

Pleasant, convenient location, obliging staff friendly would return. Would have liked the spa.

Breakfast supplies could have been replenished. Pity residents couldn't put plates etc and wipe down keeping it clean for everyone else, but suppose they didn't take their mother's along to clean up after them 😄

The staff was exceptional. The man working in the office provided us with an upgrade and clearly explained the layout and rules. The room had an Air Conditioner, Fridge, and kettle which was great. Overall happy! It was close to many shops, stores and halal food places. There was a designated car spot per room as well. They gave complimentary breakfast and had iron/washing services for $5. Rooms had selection of coffee sachets, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. Perfect distance to a multitude of beaches. Great budget getaway :)

The single bed was too small. The air conditioner was placed over the small bed and at night it caused discomfort. The Carpet had a particular smell at the beginning of the stay which was off putting.

My hubby and I didn't use the pool facilities but it was nice to know this humble hotel had a pool and spa. It also had a shared kitchen. While the furniture and interior could do with a bit of a facelift - everything we needed was spotless (i.e. clean and comfy bed with linen, clean bathroom & modern shower with clean towels, a working aircon/fan, clean fridge & lighting, etc.) The reception and service staff were friendly, kind and warm. We had a great time and managed to save lots of $$$ on travel & food. Thank you Sapphire Palms team!

furniture is a bit outdated and the carpeting also. But these are minor details. The room was clean and for the price - it is worth it.

Great friendly staff very helpful, clean comfortable rooms with a share kitchen on site, good value for money compared to some of the other hotels and very clean, great value for families working with a budget and a 24 hour service station across the road also very close walking distance to the enterance shops and beach, cafes etc or a quick 2'minute drive... Free parking on site and swimming pool

I liked that there was a great pool with a little slide (unfortunately we couldn’t use it due to weather) but we absolutely loved the look of it and wish we could of used it. Our room was a great size and perfect for the 4 of us. Location was also great!

I found the property was fine for us and the purpose we stayed.

We arrived more than one hour earlier than the normal check-in time (2-4pm) and were waiting in the BBQ area. A lady cleaning the rooms noticed us, paused her cleaning, checked us in, quickly cleaned our room first, and then let us in. The friendliness and flexbility is appreciated. We stayed in the deluxe family room for two nights, and were very happy with the location, the facilities, and the service.
