Tweed River Motel

Wonderful location overlooking the river and dramatic hinterland. Small kitchenette and good sized fridge made it easy to self-cater. Some rooms have a balcony with chairs and table to take in the manic views… well worth any extra cost. Perfect 3 Star budget motel.

There was a vinyl covered mattress topper on the large bed, which was otherwise comfortable.

Our room overlooked the river and was quite comfortable. The location was convenient with a good seafood restaurant next door.

The WiFi reception was very good as long as you were sitting next to the door while it was open. Close the door and the signal was drastically reduced. Go figure :-(.

The beds were super comfy. View was magnificent. Basic breakfast also included which was surprising.

Booking.com cancelled our booking as it had been over 6 months between booking and arriving. Luckily the owner did everything possible to contact us and it all ended up fine in the end.

AN EXCEPTIONAL VIEW OVER THE TWEED RIVER

The fridge was a bit noisy turning off and on at night. . it's a tricky problem sharing with a fridge. Not sure ive heard of a solution. But I always bring noise suppressing stuff with me. Being touchy.

Staff were kind and helpful, lovely areas to sit and enjoy the river and mountain views. Very active fish at night! They sounded so big I wondered if they were dolphins?.. Good to know some rooms are pet friendly.

Most continental breakfasts include freshly prepared fruit and pastry with the toast and cereal. Fresh coffee instead of instant, juice and milk in individual jugs and jams in pots with lids. Better presentation works wonders. Try getting an urn to keep freshly boiled water on tap. Easy to pour from the urn than keep refilling a kettle. The wheels of my bed needed stoppers to prevent them slipping!

The Staff there was nothing short of terrific. I made a late booking & the orientation to get into the room was perfectly handled.

Older building but clean. At some point a light renovation and paint touch up might be needed - but for what it was, already excellent.

The view of river at sunrise and sunset was very beautiful from top floor balcony room. The easy access to river from balcony stairs was added bonus. Room was very large and clean

Breakfast times are a little restrictive.

Upstairs good size room had a large balcony with an amazing view across the river to the sugarcane fields and distant mountains. It was great for self catering with a small kitchenette.

Balcony ceiling needs a paint.

Considering they had just been flooded out the staff had cleaned and repaired the place really well and my room was really clean considering. They had a smile on their face and the view from my balcony over the river oh my fantastic. 100% will return back to this place for another visit rain hail shine or even flood

Everything 😁. The room, location, views and friendly staff way above expections for a budget price accommodation. And with a bottle shop next door is a bonus.

Nothing really. I was pleasantly surprised, considering the budget price compared to more expensive accommodations where I have stayed in other locations.
