Marina Resort

Great Location - few minutes walk from the Marina and shops. Wonderful staff. Hotel itself has seen its glory days. great view of the ocean from most rooms. Free breakfast provided . Good for the price we paid

Hotel needs refurbishing. Whilst room was comfortable, it was outdated , but new toilets put in (no exhaust fans!) sofa was dirty and old. Very shabby in replacing extras like Tea, soap etc

We were only overnight visitors so the review should be taken in this light. The views from the room were excellent, we were on floor 3. The room was comfortable. The bathroom facilities were very good but as is the case in most facilities the shower head was fixed and not able to be used as handheld to reach hard to clean bodily places. We also liked the bed which was neither soft nor hard but just right for my wife and myself. There was free parking at the facility. As requested the room was not near the facilities lift. The room was fresh and clean and did not smell of cigarette smoke like some facilities do. All in all it is a very good place to stay.

As mentioned the shower head but it is a small dislike.

Whenever we have been at the Marina Resort, we have always enjoyed our stay, the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. we have always been looked after by receiving a fantastic room with an awesome view. Can't wait to go back again and stay longer hopefully.

Everything there is great location, view and the people are super friendly. We have the best room every time we stay there. I can't wait to go back. We loved our walks to the Marina, shops and just in general around the bay.

Stunning view from the room, Clean room & bathroom, Easy access to shops, restaurants, the port, beach and all other attractions.

It was disappointing that the room didn't have or not provided the basic stay requirements like drinking water bottles and some basic plates and a garbage bin for the room (the garbage bin was provided only in the bathroom). Air condition was a bit unstable sometimes, it was either getting too cold or too warm at night, and that caused disturbed sleep.

The view of the marina - outstanding! The location and ease of access to all venues in Port Stephens was excellent. Parking and access to our room was quick and easy. Bed was extremely comfortable. Front of house staff and cleaning staff were extremely polite and courteous. The fridge worked really well and kept our drinks very cold. The manager was very obliging - met all our needs with regard to extra linen, service etc

The air conditioner had to be on the lowest possible temperature to keep the room cool. Was glad I took my own pillow. The pillows provided didn't seem to be the same high standard of the mattress and other linen.

Great View, nice clean swimming pool and air conditioning worked well.

The name is quite deceiving. I have been to a few resorts in my time and this place doesn't come close. The whole establishment looks and feels as though it hasn't had any work done since the bicentenary !! The only modern item was the tv.

Room was really comfortable, spacious and clean. The view was great and the location is close to everything. Staff are friendly and helpful. Shout out to Darlene and Kobi who looked after us at breakfast and really look after the guests. The breakfast is really great value and the breakfast room has a terrific view. The hotel does have a retro look and feel but that makes it great too. We had an issue with the water in our room when we arrived and not only was it fixed quickly, the manager offered us complimentary breakfasts for the inconvenience. Thank you. I was chuffed to bits. We loved the pool, the selection of books games and toys and will be back. Thanks for looking after us and making our stay so memorable and special.

The Marina Resort has the best views in Nelson Bay from almost every room, especially of the Marina below. It is close to the shopping centre, and has a very good continental breakfast bar, with plenty to eat and Nespresso coffee machine. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The property is old but comfortable. We were there 30 years ago and still find the rooms a nice size. It probably is not strictly a Resort, but has a nice pool and Spa.

it was in a great location, close to city centre and beach. 2 pools that get frequently used and cleaned. ample parking. rooms appear to be getting renovated but are nice and tidy. vending machine on property was a good addition

I did order configuration 2 double beds but got 1 double and 2 singles with the double in the middle so couldn’t push the others together. not a huge drama but it wasn’t what I’d booked.

So convenient and close to Nelson Bay. The rooms were spacious and it was nice having a sofa and table too. The view was great too.

It was a little dated, but not too bad. It would be good to have a few plates/some cutlery considering there is a microwave in the room. It would also be good to have power points near the bed to charge your phone.
