Mercure Penrith

Extremely convenient for what I was in Penrith for (which was a footy game) Facilities are outstanding.

The internal access from the club to accommodation locking at 10pm with only member access allowed??? I paid good money to stay the night after a game and I was by myself. Forcing me to walk out of the club itself and partway in the dark to enter through the front doors of the hotel at 1am was ludicrous. Although it's not a hugely long walk most of it isn't lit so great or at all and it's not a straight direct walk either. I feel this should be addressed more as I wasn't the only guest not impressed about the time lock.

my wife and i were very disappointed with our stay going back to the room at 11 o clock and not been able to sleep from head pounding music from panthers when finally getting to sleep been woken up again at 2.30 am to fighting screaming and swearing obcene language outside our room and still not been able to sleep from panthers banging music again at that time it was unacceptable and something should be done about it. we complained at reception in the morning and other guests also complained.

We love staying at the mecure and often stay here when my husband is working. I love that they have connecting rooms. It is in a great location, connected to the panthers club. The buffet breakfest at kellys is a favourite the next morning with the kids.

This time, we had a room on the right side of the hotel facing the back yard (previous times we've been to the left) was a prime location to see the carnival etc until it hit 12am and the music was still going from the DJ in the back garden of the panthers club. 2.30am the hotel window was still vibrating from music coming from the panthers club. This is the only negative experiences we've had. The rooms closest to the clubs should come with a disclaimer that you will hear bass and music until early hours of the morning.

What an we say, this place is fantastic. Front end staff very friendly and happy which is lovely to be greeted with. Room was very clean and tidy. The view of the mountains from our room was beautiful with the sunset. Easy to shop with big shopping centre close by. Great walking track, bridge to bridge easy walking, with a breakfast stop before heading back to hotel.Great club next door with great food shops inside.

Parking was a bit hard if you go out at night. Car park near the accommodation should be only for people staying the night. And not for people at the club.

the laundry was interesting to other hotels I’ve stayed in. in the other hotels I’ve stayed in, it was more modern and easier to use. I didn’t need to use coins, it was either free to use or just use card. with these washing machines and dryers, you needed coins to use, unfortunately I did not have coins on my pers, not even cash. there weren’t any cash to coin machines around for convienience. instead I had to exit the hotel and get cash out and then break the money for coins and come back to use the washing machine and dryers. probably modernise those fasciitis’s so it’s easier for people staying in.

Ther Mercure Penrith is a fabulous hotel to stay at, the beds are comfy, the bathroom was spacious and the shower was exceptional. You can buy coffee, toasties, fruit salad and even cereal for the kids at the cafe next to reception. The hotel is next to the Panthers Leagues club that has quite a few restaurants to choose from. Make sure you do book the restaurants as they do book out. We stayed here as we were given IFly vouchers and IFly is about a 5 minute walk from the Mercure Penrith. The parking is plentiful, but is open air, there are lots of birds around so don't park under a tree. The staff were always polite and helpful, we would definitely stay here again.

The staff were exceptional and so very thoughtful. Angel and Mandie (my apologies if I have spelt their names wrong) put in so much effort in to making my special weekend go off so well. The kindness and thought they put into my arrival was beyond words. All the staff were so helpful and assisted in so many ways. This was a very important weekend for me, I had the chance to spend it with my family who I had not seen in over a year due to my recovery from breast cancer. I'm so very grateful to you all for making it so much more than special for us. We will definitely be back, that is for certain - I would not stay anywhere else when I am in the area.

All went well, nothing stood out excpet for the Panthers awesome win over the Roosters

The Panthers were playing the night of our booking which was a reason for the trip,I expected a lot of traffic and cars at the club but would have thought hotel guests would have had ample parking and not have to park over a km away on arrival. Also would be nice if the hotel guests could get direct access to the club instead of having to sign in and walk around the outside in the cold and wet.

Very easy check in and check out, room had everything we needed for a quick and convenient overnight stay for nearby kids sporting event.

Parking in the section near the hotel was a bit difficult on Saturday evening, had to park a little way away. Also, waiting for the lift just to go down one level was a bit tiresome, we used the fire stairs when in a hurry but not sure if this is ok. it would be good to have it clearly marked as an option. When trying to sleep we could hear the noise in the hallway and the cover band from next door. These were all pretty minor gripes though, it was a good, easy and comfortable night.

staff lovely, room clean even though there were Reno’s going on venue was ok. Quick walk to Panthers for dinner in the Italian Restaurant, food and service was great. unsure why the under cover walk through to club is only open for breakfast. Luckily it was not raining for the evening walk to dinner not u der cover!
