Costa Rica Motel

Great small family run motel not too far from the beach in South West Rocks. Facilities in the room were good (microwave, toaster, kettle & crockery and cutlery), good size room and a sofa to sit on to watch TV

Everything was great with the exception of the wifi. It was terrible so if you are planning on working it might not be for you. The connection would drop out constantly, or have no internet and in the end I gave up. To be fair it was a Saturday and I didn't talk to the owners about it AND phone reception was also awful so hotspotting wasn't really an option.

We asked for a wheelchair accessible room and bathroom. The facilities exceeded our expections with a fantastic shower with chair and railings to assist in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were clean, the staff friendly. The weather was raining and the undercover walk way in front of the motel was a bonus. Easy parking outside the room with dedicated parking bays (a rarity on our travels)

Later check out would have been nice as we were exchausted from our road trip. The property exceeded our expectations - no need to improve anything. I want to go back and stay longer.

A really comfy stay. The bed was so comfy (which was required and appreciated after running a half marathon) and the aircon and heating worked really well. It was great to sit out in the sun in the courtyard for lunch. A close walk to shops and restaurants. It was quite busy in South West Rocks, being a long weekend - didn't hear any road noise at all. Thoroughly recommended and will be back!

Lovely staff. Very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and spacious. This is a great value. It's not close to the beach but that was ok with us. You can walk to town and the main beach in about 15 minutes. A nice touch is the room has a little patio in the back and I appreciate not just looking at a fence.

Sound dampening is meh. If you are a light sleeper, you will want ear plugs because you can hear everything going on around you.

I liked that the beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly and accommodating. I liked the COVID safe procedures and notices written around the motel. I liked that a tea towel, dishwashing cloth and dishwashing detergent was provided. I also liked that biscuits were provided with the tea and coffee provisions, it was the little things that like this that made my stay so much more enjoyable.

I didn't like being able to hear my neighbours, they were exceptionally loud and I think their relationship may have dissolved that night.

Spacious motel just off the main road, but it was quiet. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. Good friendly service. Comfortable room with all you need to make a small meal. Good pool and BBQ. Nice patio table and chairs to sit outside your room and enjoy the breeze.

A little bit of a walk to the village cafe's and beach, but no problem really.

The receptionist said I could have a more convenient parking spot (near another room being renovated) & gave me unprompted info about local places to eat & visit. The room was comfortable & everything worked.

No separate washbasin outside of bathroom. Some minor stains near edge of bed on floor that hadn't been cleaned.

Beautiful grassy bbq area. Room was very big with outside seating front and back. Bed and pillows were both very comfy and great shower pressure. Reception ordered the shuttle bus for us to dine at the tavern on the waterfront. So easy. Reception were also really helpful with searching out national park info for us.

Attention to detail, very very clean, extra things like hooks to hang towels, generous place to put toiletries, outside table and chairs for a glass of wine and cheese, comfortable bed, blankets if we didn't want the doona etc etc

Room a little tired, but with the attention to detail this was not a problem.

Found the new manager very friendly and helpful, bed was very comfortable, clean room would definitely stay again. Manager also informed us that they were going to start doing breakfast and add a take away in the near future.
