Moon River Motor Inn

The motel is on a large lock of land and is not near the road. The river at the back is very tranquil and there is lots of seating there. Extremely comfortable bed and very clean room. We had to extend our stay by one night and staff were very helpful. Excellent value for money. Kempsey is a very clean town with several beautiful murals, a very relaxing place to stop.

We had a river view room and it didn't disappoint. Tables and chairs out the back to sit and watch the river and the birdlife. Room is very large with not only a desk but table and chairs by the back door so if dining in you can sit and have a view. Bed was large and extremely comfortable. Shower has good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Everything was clean and well presented.

The owner couple are very friendly let us feel welcomed. We arrived a little bit late, and when I went to the restaurant they were about closing but still cooked the meal for me, the beef noodle very delicious. The rooms have quite a bit distance to the main road so quite quiet place to stay on our way home from Sydney to Brisbane.

Very comfy bed, room very clean, off main traffic so nice and quiet over night. Ideal for 1 or 2 night stay. Winter so can't comment on pool as I never used it.

Reception Guy needs to smile more and be engaging. Didn't like no milk in room for cuppa on arrival. Was asked at reception did we want to buy some milk.

Staff friendly and helpful Good size room and very clean Plenty of parking I didn't eat at the restaurant so don't know about the food

There was mosquitoes in the room so good idea to supply spray. If l was to stay again l would ask for a room far away from the restaurant as there were children playing and screaming.

We were given a room with back access to the stunning river view Our room is just right size for us couple and it was clean and comfy.

They got a restaurant located close to this beautiful river however it was close when we got there around 6pm...they are open for room service but I would love to dine there.

it was very clean Very comfortable everything that you would expect to have in your home was in the hotel we had a very short stay overnight shame we couldn’t stay longer I would’ve been very comfortable there

I wouldn’t say that I didn’t like anything about the property but I think there should be more blankets in the rooms for the convenience of the people who stay there

Plenty of space and storage in the rooms. Rooms were clean except i did see a used tissue under the bed!. Beds were ok., Showers were great with pleny of presure.

Tables located at rear of motel over looking the river were great but they need to be seperated from the other tables so we are not sitting in the backyard of the other guests.

Family room was perfect size for us. Family of 5 fit well and there was enough space for the kids. Room was clean and well equipped for us.

Could hear the guests in the room next door quite well, so noise insulation was poor. Kids would have liked it if the pool would have been clean. It was too cold to swim in my opinion anyway.

Breakfast was lovely thank you but could of been better if salt n pepper were provided.

The wooden benches n tables at the back of the units were broken and rotten. They all need to be urgently replaced or removed due to health and safety purposes. The outside of the motel needs a general clean up eg lawns, gardens and a splash of paint. A/C could do with a good clean.
