The room size.

Staff could have been more knowledgeable about public transport, especially because there is some major construction work going on that limits the options. Also, they should have been more forthcoming about the luggage storage and informing about the Internet during check in. There should have been an information booklet in the room to get more understanding about the hotel and services in the vicinity. The mattress was not firm and should probably be replaced. There was not air-conditioning, but there was a fan.

Let me just tell you about Gregory. The nicest and funniest manager, so welcoming and just great energy all around. He really made our trip one for the books. Of course the hotel is a great deal for clean comfortable rooms, right near the train station (one stop on the S-Bahn to Wien HBF/Main, literally within 7 minutes Hotel to train station). BUT GREGORY, for Gregory (and the comfy beds) we would come back. So attentive, a little sarcastic (in the best way), kind and welcoming (a rarity in Vienna at times). I don't know what he gets paid but it should be more because he makes an average hotel into a fun destination and as cozy as home. We loved the breakfast buffet of Austrian style cold cuts and bread (there was also fruit, yogurt, eggs). Great coffee machine too! Truly everyone we interacted with was so pleasant and accommodating. Free luggage storage ✓ Breakfast ✓ Cozy beds ✓ Wifi ✓ The best vibiest front desk (manager?) ✓ (I mean Gregory of course) Gregory ✓✓✓✓✓ 1000% would go back, it's so nice to store luggage after check out and have your last stop to be there (say goodbye to Gregory) and be at the train station - then airport so quick!

That we won't be greeted by Gregory anymore because our vacation is over.

It's my second time at Hotel Allegro and I liked my stay, just like the previous one, and I would choose it again when I come to Vienna. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was kind, the hotel is a crosswalk away from Matzleinsdorfer Platz stop, from where trams 1, 6 and 18 can take you to Karlsplatz, to the subway to Schönbrunn or to Belvedere and Hauptbahnhof. It's easy to reach from the airport as well. There's also a supermarket just meters away, many restaurants and a rent-a-bike station. There are currently construction works going in front of the hotel but it wasn't that noisy and also closing the window does wonders. For me, Hotel Allegro is a great place to stay at a great price.

Just a remark for the hotel staff and for future visitors - the front door of the hotel is a bit tricky to open (not just at night). There's a small round button below the handle that you need to rotate and then pull the door open. I saw many guests failing to figure this out and trying to contact the reception via phone.

You know what, for a 3 star hotel this is great. We stayed one night in a deluxe room and were very happy with it. It was one of the cheaper places with decent reviews that was close to a train station. Just one stop to Vienna main station. It wasn't perfect, a bit of hair behind the bathroom door, and decor is a little jaded (and not to my taste) but it was great for the price and location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They let us have our room early, store our luggage and use the toilet after after check out (which isn't until 12 o'clock, and gave us directions into town. There are very busy roads outside but that didn't bother us. There was the option to have breakfast if you wanted, you could even decide that morning, but we didn't.

Breakfast pretty nice with a lovely dinner room. Main hall looks like brand new. My room was located in the first floor. Quite big for one person that is a good point. And that was Wien so price was actually good.

Double payment by the booking.com. I have paid by the booking and at the hotel as well. It was a failure by the booking.com. Pay when you stay at the hotel. I sent the document about the two payments for booking.com. Still waiting for the respond.

I like the location because it was very easy with the public transportation. The staff was very nice and polite. The room was very big and the bed was very comfortable. I like that they have machine with drinks and coffees so you can buy whatever you like whenever you like.

The only thing I didn't like is the rug at the floor because it was old, and the bathroom was old but ok it was very value for money . It didn't have kettle to do your coffee in the room.

The staff was very nice especially the guy from the reception. The room was big and comfortable. Even without an air condition the temperature was always appropriate. There is also an elevator in the hotel and we were able to put our luggage down before our check in which was also great. We liked the breakfast but the selection could have been a little bigger. :)

The area is not the best, but the public transport is excellent.

Great personel, big room, good localization, possible to eat breakfast for 10 Eur. I can recommend this place. Very close to train and tram. To Hbf railway was around 20 min by foot.

There was no hot dishes on breakfast but rest was good. Make sure about way of payment, we had different way that it was written but it was not so big problem for us and we agreed, so ok.

Very very spacious and the receptionist was so sweet and helpful. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage as we were early for check in, which was really helpful.

The transport stop nearby is not in use for trams/buses as it is under construction, which means you have to use the metro/u bahn (underground so you miss scenery). The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, no indication when it will be fixed.

Location of hotel is great. Across the street is metro and tram station and because of that, its makes easy to get to any part of city. The room was large and full of light. The Room was also very clean and cozy. Hotel had an elevator.

I booked a room on the condition that we pay when we arrived at the hotel. However, on the day of arrival, I am informed that my reservation will be canceled if I do not pay the cost in advance before arrival. That was not ok, because the agreement was different before.
