Hotel Kolping Wien Zentral

Room was clean, comfy & spacious with good shower & towels. 2nd pillow requested & supplied. Breakfast had a good choice of cereal, fruit & yogurt, ham, cheese, tomato. cucumber, peppers. Scrambled egg/omelette with either sausage or bacon. Boiled eggs. Cakes, breads, rolls, tea, coffee, fruit juice & water. Breakfast room kept clean by a team of efficient staff with all foods replenished quickly. Although the hotel was busy there was no issue with noise from within the hotel

Beds made up on arrival but then not done daily. No air conditioning although electric fan was provided in the room Our room overlooked the main street & noise outside with traffic & pedestrians throughout the night could be disruptive

Great location very close to the city centre!!! Easily reachable by metro from main train station; walking distance from historical center. Large rooms equipped with useful forniture and comfy beds. Very good breakfast with wide variety of food choices. Possibility to leave bags in the luggage rooms before check-in/after check-out.

There was no AC in the room, only a mid-size fan. Few days were very hot and the room temperature was not very comfortable.

Excellent wheelchair rooms. These are truely well equipped. The shower with plastic chair is very practical and works! There are no bumps or barriers so the wheelchair feels natural for this room. Also the space is excellent giving ample rotation freedom. The breakfast is excellent as well. Here gluten-free and lactose free options are available. The staff is helping out providing practical solution. The service is warm and helpful. We had two rooms almost neighboring: a wheelchair room and a family room. This worked perfectly for our family of three

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was walking distance to the main spots in all directions. The room was clean and spacious with many cupboards and shelves. Breakfast was more than enough with fresh options. The staff was kind and helpful. The only reason I didn't rate them "excellent" is that we didn't have many occasions requiring their assistance, which is good I guess :)

The only problem we had was the street noise late at night and early in the morning (room 407). I guess it depends on which room you stay in.

The staff was really helpful and kind. The place was very clean The breakfast really good and with a variety of products to choose from. Really good location,close to the subway Totally worth it!! I recommend it!!

We would prefer to have seperate shower products (there was only one bottle of shower gel to be used as shampoo as well). We gathered also lots of cups with coffee, water etc from the breakfast which they did not change - clean until the day we left.

The hotel is in an ideal location for visiting the many sights close to the Hofburg and the museum quarter. The U4 line is just 5 minutes wall away. And the state opera where you can board the Hop on Hop off buses is about a 15-20 minute walk away. Plenty of places to eat nearby , especially near the Naschmarkt. Good choice at breakfast.

Bathroom could do with a clean and up dating. Black mould on the tiles and the outside of the shower frame needs a good clean. Other than that the room was spotless.

* High value for money. * Outstanding friendliness and service from the staff: they have been very kind, attentive and supportive at any time. The receptionist at night heated us up some water for a tea, which was so nice of his. * Very great location, 10 mins walk from downtown "Innere Stadt". It is very hard to find centric hotels with such fair price in Vienna. * Amazing breakfast, with a wide range of variety (both hot and cold food) and very friendly staff. * Spacious, clean and silent room, facing a very quite backyard. Very comfy mattresses. Excellent and handy shower, providing water at a suitable pressure. * As it is not located right within the city center, you'll be able to find restaurants with inexpensive prices.

Everything was just perfect.

Love the 24 hour reception, rooms clean but then isn't everything in Austria! Good shower, towels and soap provided which is much appreciated for those with just a small backpack. Worth noting there is a Spar Gourmet shop next to the main entrance, good for provisions. Nice location, go up the steps opposite and you find yourself in a lovely walk through area of restaurants and bar which leads to the main shopping street.

It is a great buffet breakfast but more options for vegans needed please, luckily we could go to the Spar and buy avocado and vegan yoghurt.

Great location within walking distance of the Opera, museums, Naschmarkt. Easy access to transportation. Room facing the courtyard was quiet, beds comfortable, plentiful hot water. Huge breakfast buffet. Reception staff speaks English and is very helpful. Has mostly European visitors; I think I was the only American staying there. Very good price for the location.

I can't think of anything I didn't like, and I have recommended it to friends.

The location was exceptional. It’s near of everything like great bars and restaurants, plus, the bus station and any must see places. The breakfast was ok. The staff were nice, smiley and helpful. The cleanliness is a bit complicated; the bed was ok, the rest was clean but considering the age of our room and its appliances, some molds are detectable. All in all, considering the price, and me having OCD, it’s bearable but of course if I want to compare it to more expensive places, the cleanliness can’t be good. I can list things to improve like a the lack if a single glass for drinking tap water, or a kettle, but once again, considering the price for 2-star place with that location, the expectations would seem unfair.

In two occasions a aisles were noisy due to some group guests - a teenagers group.
