Continental Hotel-Pension

Breakfast was OK with egg, some sortiment of cheese and charcuterie, yougourt, fruits, muslis. Also tea, coffee, fruit juice was available. Rooms were very clean, equipped with TV and wardrope. Location is perfect, in the middle of the famous walking zone Mariahilfer street. Windowss are isolated and so nights are not noisy. Underground is 2 min to walk. You can reach the airport with 2 underground lines from the hotel. Reception staff was friendly and helpful for all questions we had. They ordered also a taxi for airport transfer with fix price 38€. City map is available upon request. Elevator is available for reaching the reception and floors which start from 1st floor of the building.

Centrally located. Easy to walk to most of the attractions. The price was more reasonable comparable to other hotels in the area. The room was fine and had everything I needed.

There was some construction going on the front of the hotel at the time of my stay. It took me some time to find the hotel's entrance as it was inside of a bigger building. The breakfast was lacking. Not much selections. Often left still hungry. The hotel is in a pedestrian zone, so if you prefer to take taxi or Uber to get around, you have to walk to nearby road to get picked up and dropped off. It's less of an issue if you take the public transportation.

Nice little hotel. great location, just a 3 min stroll to the U3 station and 10 min walk to the U4 station. Amazing staff! Accommodated a late check-in without fuss and gave us a cup of coffee first thing in the morning before even having their own! Double room was bigger then expected, clean, and the shower had hot water. Breakfast is a modest but satisfying spread. Overall great value for money

There is still construction in the street, but with the windows closed it didn't bother us, also didn't last long (couldbe becauseit was the weekend). Be aware that this hotel is a bit old and dated, but carries it well.

It was easy to find and the location offers excellent access to public transportation. I had a pleasant first expression. Smelled welcoming coffee and later on the day on my return had a cosy Germanic smell of a clean and well maintained household which I like. It served the purpose of my stay very well and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great location and welcoming, well looked after accommodation.

While I was having breakfast I over heard a smaller group of staff having a rather uncomfortable conversation in Hungarian regarding a co-worker. Unfortunately I was ear witness of their mocking talk , which was rather unprofessional and off putting. Apart of this incident the staff was polite and friendly to the guests.

This is a small quiet hotel in the heart of the city. The owner is "hands on" as a result the hotel runs like clockwork. The same staff have been there for years, which speaks volumes. In particular I like the comfortable beds, the delicious breakfasts, and the polite and obliging staff. Congratulations to the Pension Continental and thank you for a wonderful stay.

Hotel is on the first floor and has a small elevator. It was no problem for us, but a larger group may have to wait a turn if they chose to use the elevator.

Only suggestion might be to consider refreshing the colour scheme of the main room? The en suite is excellent, the magnolia coloured bedroom walls could be seen as a bit dated by comparison.

The location makes it, because you are on the corner with Mariahillferstrasse. If you are with kids is pretty close to Quartier Museum and also ZOOM. Also, with a 10 minutes walk you are at Natural History Museum and National Art Museum. The room is a little bit outdated but you have all the facilities. The breakfast is pretty basic, not a lot of products to choose from.

One time it happened to arrive later for breakfast, but not after their program, and we have to wait for a free table and also we could not find to much to eat, because they did not refill the empty plates.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was nice. The air conditioning was wonderful, as it was 88 most of the four days we were there.

It was a little far from the attractions we wanted to see. Getting into the hotel required a few steps, but then there was an elevator. Thin towels, no sheets, or wash cloths, as in all of Europe. Comforters are too hot in the summer.

Location is central and close to the metro (150 m) and tourist sites (Museum quartier, Hofberg palace, Naschmarkt, etc). The room is cleaned everyday, the beds are comfortable and the owner and staff are very professional and courteous. They provided a crib for my toddler which was a plus. We arrived at midnight and a member of the staff stayed late to let us in and give the key. Plenty of restaurants and shops around so there is no shortage of a place to eat.

Since we have a toddler I needed to heat her meals. There is no microwave in the room so I asked the staff to heat it in the microwave kept in the staff room which they gladly did for me.
