Boutique Hotel Kugel Wien

We were welcomed by Alexander who was extremely kind and helpful, providing detailed information about the hotel and what is included in our booking. The rooms we got were so nice and cozy, like in a dollhouse. The beds were comfortable and the rooms and the bathrooms - very clean. Breakfast was good too. The location is excellent. When Alexander was not on duty, we met Christina who was very nice and helpful, always giving us very good advice. Smiling and showing great customer focus. Thank you both - Christina and Alex, for your hospitality and care!

We are overall very satisfied with our stay at the hotel.

I definitely recommend. Personal of hotel was superpolite. They were always ready to help and give advice. They gave us many valuable information about shops and attractions. Room was very nice and cozy. It was cleaned everyday. Third day, we got also new towels and bedding. There were even three different types of pillows in bed. The room was warm, but since there was a fan, it wasn't such a problem. There was also possibility to make fast online check-in and check-out, that was easy to use. There is tram stop in front of the hotel, which takes you directly to the center in about 5 -10 minutes (in day / in night). There is also a metro stop, many restaurants and supermarket nearby (everything in range of approx. 5 minutes walk from hotel). For us, it will be definitely my choice no. 1 in next visit of Vienna. Everything looked exactly like on photos.

Nothing. If you're light sleeper tram stop might be a disadvantage, but it wasn't problem for us.

Large amazing room with huge windows beautiful decor and extremely clean. Very pampering bathroom. Breakfast was really fresh and tasty with many options. Location is perfect in a lively neighborhood in the center with great restaurants and shops. Nice walk to old town and good transportation connections if you want to have a day trip out of town. Above all, Christina, the owner and manager was great, so nice and helpful. We are looking forward to return in December!

It didn’t bother us but there is no air-con so you should sleep with the windows open which may impact light slipped who are noise sensitive

The room was lovely, pretty and cosy and the bed was brilliant, so very comfortable. I was delighted when I arrived at first into the room it made me happy! Tea/coffee, a kettle, a small bottle of champagne some sweets and a fridge with soft drinks. Super! Christina was very helpful and informative and she surprised me on my birthday by setting a special birthday breakfast table with a bottle of champagne WOW! The staff were pleasant. Breakfast fare was delicious. On my first morning I had breakfast brought up to my room and WOW it was FANTASTIC.😄

This hotel was absolutely wonderful- from arranging for airport transfer to lovely room to fabulous breakfasts (and great coffee!!) to city info the customer service was amazing. We felt so welcomed and well treated every day! The hotel is in a great location - easy to walk or take a tram everywhere. The hotel is in a lovely, older Viennese building, so those who prefer ultra sleek and modern may not like but we loved it- real Vienna, with amazing hospitality. Thank you Alex and Christina!

Honestly, we loved our stay and cannot think what we would change.

the room was beautiful and clean, it has a massive bathroom, that was beautifully stocked with soaps, bathrobes, and body wash, the bedroom had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. there was plenty of room and it was very comfortable. the breakfast was lovely and made individually. the staff couldn't have been more helpful, we would definitely stay again. the location was 10- 15 min walk from the main tourist attractions and 5 mins from the shopping. plenty of places to eat and drink within moments from the hotel

The size of the room was pretty big. Very friendly people at the reception desk. Excellent breakfast every morning. The location is very good, right in a shopping area and several restaurants nearby. Walk to the subway (neubaugasse) only 5 minutes and walk to the Hofburg about 15 minutes.

Most hotel rooms face the street and the tramline runs by till after midnight so you experience some streetnoise. It was very hot in all of the hotel, when we arrived in our room both heatings were full on and it felt like 25 degrees or more. Luckily the windows could open. We turned the heating off during the rest of our stay(outside temperatures during our stay around 6 degrees) and it stayed pretty warm, which did not bother us since we could open the window when we wanted to.

The room was very stylish, I had a four poster bed with wonderfully soft and comfortable mattresses with lots of pillows, the linen was changed after three days. The decor of the room is charmingly retro, reminiscent of a young girl's room from the beginning of the 20th century. The bathroom was equipped with a bathtub, the cleaning and changing of towels, respectively the replenishment of cosmetic products, was done daily. The breakfast was excellent, sophisticated, with many local flavors in an exquisite presentation. The staff is very friendly, graciously offering advice on places to eat and cultural events. Everyone is very friendly.

The paint on the windows needs freshening up, the wallpaper had small areas where it was peeling and the radiator in the room seemed to be leaking. They are seemingly insignificant details in a relatively well maintained and very beautifully and charmingly decorated hotel.

Fantastic location in a lively area with great transport links and many restaurants. Breakfast was very good with a more continental style, but eggs and bacon were offered if desired. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room for 5 of our 6 nights was spacious and very pretty. This is a charming old fashioned ( in a good way) hotel with lots of character. I would say that in the height of summer it may not suit me because there is no air con, only a fan, but for us there was no problem. It is next to a tram stop but the windows blocked most of the sound and it added to the atmosphere! I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again

Our first night was in a small room which was too cramped for us as we had more luggage than usual. It would be fine for a short stay

Lovely hotel that run as family business for generations. The building is an ancient one to render an authentic Vienna atmosphere. The room was superb, cosy, a lot of space, comfy with the roomy bathroom. The bed of charming canopy and a plenty of all-sized pillows makes home-like feeling. The location is perfect as it is within walking distance of many of the sights. For the one doesn't feel like walking - there is Tram 49 is around the corner. Breakfast is fresh and plentiful, good selection of food and snacks. The owners and staff are superb very attentive to guest's needs, very helpful with local knowledge and hints.
