Hotel Prague Star

Very good location - close to the center, walking distance to many popular touristic objectives - but also very quiet. The street is not busy, is not noisy and our rooms was also on the back of the building. No view needed, as we were leaving early in the morning and coming back late in the evening. Breakfast was good (Nescafe coffee machine could be replaced with better one), all staff was nice in general (reception, housekeeping and breakfast). Room was properly heated, all very functional in the room and bathroom.

Sometimes there was a bad smell coming from the drain, but it wasn't very disturbing, considering there were big windows to open in the bathroom itself.

The location is close to the old town square; approximately 15 minutes of walk. Metro/subway station can be found within a short distance. A handful of restaurants and shops are located nearby. The breakfast was versatile and pretty good with lots of choices. The bed was comfy. The water pressure in the shower was pretty strong. There was a mini fridge in the hotel room which was an extra plus to keep your drinks cold. The hotel staff were really helpful. They let us keep our luggage in the luggage room even though we checked out in the morning. That allowed us an extra couple of hours to roam around the beautiful city. Above all, a nice and comfortable stay.

I have read many negative feedback's from the past but this hotel and services are definitely a really good value for money. It is well located, comfy, clean and the staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast provides a lot of choices, yes perhaps not the one we used to have at home, but this is the purpose of discovering a new place / country / culture. The dining room is in the cellar and has therefore no window, but this was in no way a problem as it is a beautiful room and in no way was too dark. The studio split level is definitely something unusual and we have no regrets to have chosen it.

The quality of the "fruit" juice at breakfast time was disappointing compared to the rest, it's water with syrup, and not really good one. Some might like it, but no big blanket was available, it was instead only two times a one person blanket.

A hotel should always be assessed in relation to money you pay for it and we paid a fair price. There is hardly anything to be not really satisfied with here (apart from breakfast). We were particularly happy with the size of the studio we stayed in (it was also either quite freshly renovated or really well taken care of), comfortable bed, heated floor in the bathroom and an excellent location in the centre.

As I mentioned, the only disappointment was the breakfast. I just expect much more from a four star hotel in the centre of any European metropolis. The coffee was quite bad (don't think it's a big deal to buy a better quality coffee machine) and despite the great selection of items, many of them tasted not fresh or heated up again.

The hotel is in good location, close to the center and close to the metro station. The room was nice as it was very big and also the bathroom was big enough with big shower. Bed was great - big and comfy. Staff was nice and friendly.

I really didn't like the fact that breakfast starts at 8am. I chose a rate with breakfast as there was no info in booking on when the breakfast start. I traveled for business and so I was always out of the hotel before 8 am so I had no breakfast :(. Also this hotel is probably not for light sleepers. I could hear the noise from the street and also the noise of people walking in the hotel halls and room above me.

The location 4 minutes or less if you walk fast of the best stores. I liked the room it even had a sofa the bed was comfy. The bathroom was a bit small I didn't have where to put my stuff but they even gave some shower products and lotion which was perfect. The breakfast had lots and lots of variety good for the price. The staff was very helpful the front desk even helped us to a get a lift to the train station cheaper than other options and stayed with us until the taxi came(she didn't have to but it was out of her amiability)

The location, was close to inappropriate sex shops and places of this sort. And also people on the streets than want to scam you

Good location, close to train station and short walks to main attractions, spacious room, cleaned every day, bed was comfy. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast, even if not the best, was good and had a lot of options.

Our bathroom, though fairly big, had a weird shape, toilet was few meters away from washbasin, shower a bit too dark and there was no vent and also very little room for toiletries and no extra hangers or a chiar for clothes. Fridge was a bit too noisy and you could also hear noise from outside at night, so not very well insulated. WiFi not the best.

Very friendly staff who were helpful during our stay because 1) I accidentally didn't book enough nights, and this was amended so we didn't have to move rooms, which was wonderful and 2) we could keep our luggage in a secure storage room before catching our flight. The free breakfast is good, with a decent variety of options to match your taste. The location is really convenient; you're within walking distance of Prague's best landmarks. The bar 2 doors down and the Vietnamese restaurant (3 doors down) proved to be godsends when we arrived late on our checkin date. We would definitely return if we return to Prague!

No aircon or decent cooling in the room. We visited during a summer heatwave, so it was a but stuffy. I can't imagine this being an issue in spring, winter or autumn. The only other issue is that the room was a lot smaller than we anticipated. There wasn't enough space for my partner and I to both open our cases, and we had to squeeze by the bed to get to the bathroom a little. However, given the price for the location, we don't feel hard done by.

Great location close to the metro and places to eat, shower space was big especially in my circumstances with my lack of mobility. The room was big enough. The staff and especially the manager were really nice and helpful…thank you. I found the area safe and had no problems, I don’t understand some of the other reviews, which said it wasn’t safe.

The bed was too small, I’m 182-183cm in height and I had sleep diagonally to fit otherwise my feet were hanging out. I had the room facing the street and the windows were not thick enough to block the noise from outside. I didn’t sleep well especially the first night because there was group of young Spaniards partying all night and then leaving in the early hours of the morning making a lot noise. It’s was a nightmare for me as I’m autistic and very sensitive to noise, even my ear plugs were not enough. If I stay again, I will book another room.

The location has no problems. Getting to the place late or very early in the morning is not a problem. It is close to two major public transportation spots. My room was not the best due to the lack of windows, but that is something that did not bother me a lot. The elevator is tiny but it gets the job done. I felt safe, clean and in a good place for my brief stop.

My room had no windows, I can understand that given the deal I got. The room is very basic could not find paper to take notes. I honestly was little worried about couple clubs down the road, but believe me, it is not a problem.
