Good value for money, nice view, great neighborhood, friendly staff. Clean for what it is. Perfect if you want to visit the city and are looking for a cheap place to crash and leave your things.

Everything was clean. I was awaiting some horror because it had that low score but actually, it was normal. Staff was very cute, all smiles. Gave me feeling that i was welcome every time. I was given a free room upgrade and I'm grateful. If we keep in mind that this is cheapest option, it was good, I was comfortable. 8out of 10 exactly. The bed was very comfortable, even better than some 10 rated hotels and sheets were super duper clean. My bathroom was exactly next to my door so it was easy to access. I was later allowed to leave my luggage in the waiting room for the whole day. It was such a relief. So I'm giving them 9 out of 10.

The room has smell of dampness that goes away if you leave the window open. You have to walk stairs on foot so if you are disabled, I wouldn't advise. But after all, it's the cheapest option so I wasn't bothered much, I was grateful.

Cheap, good location, quite clean toilets and cleaning stuff making the bed!

Showers had a closing time! Even though we never saw them actually closed

I literally liked everything! Super professional staff plus the Internet & TV ( I am a bit old-fashioned so I enjoy watching TV especially while I am abroad). Such a beautiful neighborhood with many historically valued facilities such as the Saint-Ambroise Church. There are plenty of the nicest Parisian cafes and bistros which were reasonably priced settled ( 11€ for the lunch, 2 euro for a cup of coffee ). Honestly, I have discovered a new very cosy and kind side of Paris.

I only stayed there for 1 night but it was very great. I really dont get the bad reviews. I think it was really great compared to what you pay. The room and the toilets were clean and that was is the most important thing for me. I would stay there again!

Convenient budget accommodation in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room had basic facilities, the toilet and shower were close and kept clean. Metro station around the corner, Bastille only a 10-minute walk, and plenty of share bikes within easy reach. And yes, if you actually check with a map, it is very comfortably within 2km of the actual centre of Paris. As for stairs, not only are they clearly noted by the hotel, but boy are you going to hate the metro if stairs trigger you as hard as I’ve seen from other comnents! 🤣 But seriously, this is a quality hotel for what it is, at the budget end of the spectrum. You get what you pay for, it’s fairly priced, and it’s definitely a good deal. I would not hesitate to stay here again to be based in this area, and the rest of Paris is quite easy to reach by any means - Montmartre is just 20 minutes by bike, for example, or just a little longer by Metro with one transfer. Or an easy 10-minute ride and you’re almost as far as the Louvre.

nothing to dislike, it’s exactly as it is advertised

The receptionist was really friendly and could speak english very well, also some arabic. I took the single room with sharing bathroom and I was supprised to see the room with fridge, microwave, and sink! I love the window too! it shouts French just by looking at it! best part is, you can open it and let the cold breeze in! for the sharing bathroom, it was fairly clean and had a heater inside, plus the window view is really relaxing. also, location is great very close to the metro stop and restaurants

like any only french building, it has no lift so i when i took the 5th floor, i was literally exhausted. The room was not super clean as there was an old cigarette butt under the bed. the pillow had stains of bedbugs, the blanket is orange and the towel was in blue green, both seems unclean so I did not use them. wifi was available but it disconnects when not in use and speed was an issue too, but good enough to scroll through facebook or ig.

Everybody who worked there was very friendly. They always helped about our needs, showed us the map, and allowed us to keep the bags after checkout. When I needed to buy water, one of them showed me the store and even paid it for me. 🙏 We never felt uncomfortable, they're incredibly helpful and respectful. The location is very good too, you can take the metro and access everywhere easily. And here are plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets nearby. Also the cat cafe 🐈 Here will be a lovely memory from Paris 🌺

Not having bathrooms in the rooms could be challenging (having a shared bathroom in a specific floor) but if you stay a short time, it's not a big deal.

It’s a perfectly fine place for budget travellers looking for a private room. Top location (3 min to Voltaire metro station), easy to reach the city centre from here, and for such location the price is very good by Paris standards. The staff was very friendly as well, they had no problem with us checking in late due to a delayed flight. The room was perfectly okay, we didn’t mind using the common bathrooms (they were always very clean!), and the view was nice, too, from the fifth floor.

It wasn’t clear to us if there was a shared kitchen or not - we saw a common room that had a small kitchenette, but two staffmembers said that there was no kitchen. It’s nice to have a kitchen in a hostel, especially since there is a microwave and fridge in the room, but it’s no use without plates and utensils. Anyway, it wasn’t a big problem, and it’s possible that we misunderstood sth. :) Other thing: one night there were some guys fighting on the street a couple blocks from the hostel. Maybe it was a one time thing, but good to know, as it was understandably kinda threatening.

In honesty I stay there for the good price. It is basic. But if that suits you, go for it: it is 1000 times better than a hostel and the location is superb in the bohemian 11th arr. Just 2 minutes to Voltaire Metro station. You get a refigerator, small desk, TV.

It is stupid to complain about things given it is a budget hotel. There was nothing that was annoying. If you want to complain about small (repaired) cracks in the basin or the creaky steps, you're looking in the wrong place.
