Hôtel Marais de Launay

The hotel is off of the main street on a quiet little side road. Seemed a little sketchy at night but ended up being safe. Very good breakfast served in basement. Rooms were quiet and clean Just a bit small. Lots of hot water for the shower and the AC was incredible.

Room was small, but the square footage was listed on booking. I would have been better off getting a room with double twin beds and putting them together. My kids were in one of those and it was bigger and had a bathtub with a shower. The room we had only had a double bed with a tiny shower. There was no shelf in the shower so you had to set everything outside the shower and open the door to get to it .

Very friendly staff. very accommodating, welcoming, helpful, attentive and responsive. Comfy beds and great shower pressure. Also a very good location for le Marais and to several Metro stations. Across the road you were quickly in the cute roads of le Marais. Seems like a safe area.

Not really the fault of the hotel, but cigarette smoke coming in from the courtyard (I think people were smoking in their rooms with the window open as couldn't see anyone in the courtyard right outside). You can hear people shower, speak and walk around in the middle of the night. Our room location I didn't like at all. Ground floor, next to the courtyard. Quiet if no one is there but couldn't really have the window open.

The location was fantastic. I had a single room which was good size for one person. The bed was comfortable. There is a small refrigerator in the room. Lot of rack space to keep your luggage. The area felt very safe especially if you are traveling alone. You are in the center of all restaurants, bakeries, shopping. The hotel staff is very nice. Patricia was great. She offered to keep my passport secure at the reception safe as the safe in the room was not working. There are several metro stations close by. Best place you can find in the area. I will be back soon. Thank you Patricia for making my stay so beautiful.

This hotel is a situated in a good area within Paris. It is next to the metro so it makes it easy getting to places and going back. The neighborhood had many cute boutiques and restaurants. We felt safe walking around even at night. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The staff asks that you return your key card whenever you go out for security purposes. When you return, they will return your card to you. If you need a taxi to get to the airport, you can ask them to arrange one for you. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The room is small, but that’s expected.

Lovely small hotel, very well located. They give you 2 bottles of mineral water and a flacon of sanitizer hand gel. Check-in could not have been smoother. The wall-to-wall 3D TV makes for a luxurious experience. The angelic staff, while trying to hide their wings, cannot hide their halos and make you feel very welcome and cared for. The breakfast is really good and includes hot stuff like fried eggs and bacon, in addition to various types of cheese and meats and breads. Check-out is decently at noon.

The mini bar is not very cold at all, so it takes ages for drinks to chill and you can't adjust that.

The hotel is right next to the metro and it’s super easy to reach city with all attractions. The room was small but that is normal in Paris, positively the room had fridge and boiling kettle. Breakfast had few options for French and intercontinental breakfast (e.g. croissants, toasts, eggs, veggies, jogurt…). All in all, the room was clean and the street was quiet.

The room’s walls are thin and so be ready to hear everything and everyone. We had some impolite guests who were talking loud at 2am and prevented us from sleeping. The breakfast is in a small basement and we didn’t like how crunched the tables were. It was uncomfortable to share breakfast with other people who were sitting so close to you (and coughing without putting their hands over their mouth). Perhaps putting less tables would be an option. Anyway the hotel was good value for money but as always some guests don’t know how to behave.

The front desk staff was super helpful and are indeed there 24/7. It felt very secure. The room felt small to me but I found out it's large compared to other Paris hotels! There was a bed, small desk, chair, and mini fridge which was very useful. Decor is just ok, but everything is very clean. VERY walkable to restaurants, chic stores, museums, metros, markets, and more.

The "king bed" was actually two twins pushed together so I couldn't sleep in the middle of the bed. The middle of each twin mattress was very soft and the edges were hard, so it's time for new mattresses! Also, the sheets were pretty rough.

A lovely little hotel near Marais and Republic so walkable to a lot of places. Staff were really nice and buffet breakfast was great too (mix of continental and hot eggs, sausages, veg), lots of options. The Lounge area is good too, we worked from there once we checked-out. Internet very reliable and kettle (with tea and coffee) in room too! Sound cancellation of windows was great too! There was a small safe in room too as well as a fridge which was helpful.

The rooms are on at the small side, nothing can be done but just to be mindful of this... as is the shower area itself. It was hard to place/access our suitcase, shopping bags around with us two too :)

Clean room. Modern decor. Good value. Small room, but I felt very comfortable, noting room is priced accordingly also. I was by myself. Amenities were thought out, with a fridge, slippers, shelves and space for things. Every cm of room is carefully planned. Very youthful and helpful staff. Only amenity I used was the printer. Location is great, with easily walkable access to both Marais and Eastern areas (Bastille and Canal St. Martin), in about 10 minutes. Metro is less than a block away for quick access to Montmarte, Les Halles and other areas. For me, it was perfect, and I would love to stay here again.

There are a few quirks to staying here. Cleaning crew is very active in the morning. Use the "do not disturb" sign to prevent access, and you'll be fine. The shower door on my room did not close all the way, but it was not a big deal. No water got out. I notified front desk. They will fix. Shower for my single person room is small. It was fine for me, but an American football player may not feel comfortable. That noted, I would not hesitate to stay here again. It's a really cozy, clean, modern hotel with good value.

Everyone who worked at this hotel was excellent. First the friendly receptionist men! Every time we came back tired, they greeted us with smiles and made us feel like we had come home! And the ladies who cleaned the room. They cleaned our room every day to the same perfect condition as the day we arrived. And a woman working in the breakfast area. She always made sure and refilled all the plates of food so that no matter what time we went there, all the food was there. The location is also very convenient to walk to Le Marais with its many attractive stores and to go anywhere you want to go as there are 3 metro stations nearby.

The hotel is great enough, but the only thing that bothered us was the noise of young drunks passing by the hotel in the middle of the night, as there are bars and such in the neighborhood. But that's only for a few minutes at the most. Even taking this into consideration, I would stay here again when visiting Paris and would recommend it to anyone.
