Hôtel Jeanne d'Arc Le Marais

The location in the marais is great. You can walk by foot everywhere and there are restaurants, shops and people everywhere. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast also great, the hotel has typical parisian charme.

The room was very small (i was alone but i could imagine two people in the room could get quite coazy) as is the elevator and the stairs, but as somebody who is often in paris i know that nearly all beautiful charmful hotels in paris have small rooms and elevators, it is normal in this city and in my opinion it also adds to the typical parisian style of hotels.

The location of the hotel suited us perfectly, we could walk to the metro easily and there were eateries close by. The exterior of the hotel is very pretty and appealing. The bathroom was nice, and the room sufficiently large for our needs. There was an elevator suitable for one or 2 persons. The breakfast room was pleasant. A fan was provided in the room, which we needed as it was hot. There was good storage in the room and a small fridge for us to keep our drinks cold. Staff were very helpful and ordered taxis when we needed them. There was a sitting area with books you could borrow.

We had wanted 3 beds (as confirmed in our booking) but our room had only been set up for 2. We were able to separate the beds in order to achieve comfort, and the hotel also offered the next day to move us to another room that was suitable for our family. However, as we had already unpacked everything, moving to another room was quite a significant task, so we declined this option. We were also very tired that morning (that the move to another room was suggested) having been out very late at Moulin Rouge. The toilet was a very small space. Some handle or railing to assist getting out of the bath/shower would have been appreciated. The breakfast options were limited, but convenient.

The location is superb, options for eating are plentiful in the area. The metro station is 5 mins away so you can get anywhere easily. The family room was perfect for us. Liked that there was a partition between the single beds and the double bed for a bit of privacy and that they were so comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size and there were enough mirrors in the room and bathroom, (as find most hotels forget about the importance of these) Just a shower which suited us but perhaps a family with young children would prefer a bathtub. We enjoyed the fresh bread and croissants in the morning in the bright breakfast room. All the staff were friendly and helpful too.

Our room was on the ground floor and the back of the building and therfore rather dark. But not really an issue as we were out most of the day. However, I imagine it would get uncomfortably hot in the summer. The room itself was a little bit warm for us so we had to put the fan on, even in February! Whilst breakfast itself was great, the breakfast area could be better laid out, as limited space meant only one person at a time could serve themselves.

Really enjoyed our stay in the midst of one of Paris's most authentic and appealing arrondissements. Staff were very friendly and welcoming during our stay. They accommodated a requested room shuffle, and went above and beyond by leaving some gifts in our room to help celebrate our anniversary. Facilities, while not five-star, are superior to other similar hotels in this area and within this budget. Our new go-to when in Paris

Not much. Our initial room didn't match what we thought we had booked but this was quickly resolved by great staff.

Great location, very friendly staff! Bed was very comfortable, room itself is decorated very well. Our room was a superior, so it was spacious.

Unfortunately no air conditioning - which was our fault for not noting before. The bathroom we got was not updated and was not the nicest to look at so there's definitely a difference in the pictures posted. The rooms are VERY dark, none of the lights are full brightness so forget doing your make up. Hallways are very loud, doors shut very fast and you can hear others going in and out. Also, elevator opens up half way up the stairs so it's rather difficult to maneuver if you have a heavy bag.

We were hugely grateful for the large fan in the room as the weather was very hot during our stay. The fan also helped to neutralise some of the inevitable street noise. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was made up and cleaned beautifully every day. The hotel is surrounded by lovely bars and restaurants, shops etc and you can walk into central Paris very easily from here. Metro link is also great.

The room decor was rather gloomy and poorly lit - like a little cave - some guests doubtless really like this. The breakfast room is quite cramped and not always brilliantly well organised but we did enjoy the continental breakfast.

We loved the location the best, so central but not too many tourists which meant the restaurants and cafes were amazing as they weren't tourist traps. We loved the heated towel rack!!! Fabulous for drying your clothes after handwashing. Some 5 star hotels do not have this feature.

The noise from the street, a garbage truck or something like that at 6am every morning. The room was also so hot and we couldn't control it. There were also no proper ceiling lights, just desk and wall lamps.

The hotel itself was lovely, very quaint and in a really good area with loads of restaurants, bars and cafés near by! really easy to find your way around everywhere too. we didn’t use the breakfast but the area looked lovely. we had a superior double room which was smaller than expected but extremely comfortable and homely!! bathroom was a great size too. reception staff were friendly and helpful. overall an amazing stay!!! will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone staying in Paris.

Our only issue was on our day of check out when we decided to sleep in a bit longer before a day of travelling, and the housekeeping staff were extremely loud in the room next door and then proceeded to knock our door which was a bit disruptive and you would think they would wait until after check out! would also have been nice to have an option of streaming your phone to the TV.

Great location! Near lots of bars, restaurants, and shops in the Marais neighborhood. The bed was super comfortable. Room was clean. Staff was nice. They were able to store luggage until check in.

No A/C. I know this is a European thing that you won’t find these in a lot of rooms. Room did get a bit stuffy. We did have the fan on that was provided in the room which helped a little.

Great location, really helpful staff very friendly, beautiful room, well equipped. And the breakfast was delicious. I woukd definitely go back.

Just the view from out window which looked out on to air conditioning and a wall. But there's nothing I know can be done about this, next time when I book I'll ask for a room with a view.
