Grand Hôtel Malher

To begin with, everything functioned marvelously—the elevator, the A/C, the refrigerator, the shower, the towel warmer, the TV, the water pressure. The mattresses were fantastic as was the luxurious bedding. Our room was cleaned daily and we received plenty of clean, soft towels. The staff was friendly and accommodating, eager to help whenever anything was required. Breakfast was fine, though we only went down to the quaint little dining room once (hey, it’s Le Marais—you go out for croissant and coffee crème!) The location was fantastic and, really, we could not have been happier. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Paris.

The rooms are small as is typical for French hotels. Also, it isn’t cheap (as is typical for all decent French hotels). That’s it, the entire list of negatives.

Location, plenty of bars & restaurants on your doorstep. Close proximity to metro. Great atmosphere in the area. Le Marais is not as expensive as other parts of Paris.

Room is small and compact but you expect this for city break. Could provide extra toiletries - only body wash provided.

The location is excellent, very central to everything, staff is friendly and helpful, the room was pretty clean and comfortable and especially for the price in contrast to others you get really good value. Also the room we got was very silent, I didn't hear any neighbors nor any outside noise. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

For some reason the hotelroom was really warm, I tried to change the temperature with the AC control, which normally I have no problems with but it seems nothing worked. But either way it was comfortable enough for me. Also depending on what you want, the bathroom was really warm, and only at the end I figured out the heating element can be changed to not be so warm. Its true the room is somewhat small, but I think in comparison to other hotels in the same price class, its actually good. It was big enough to be comfortable. I had the cheapest room possible, so no real complaint.

I had a great stay here. The location is ideal. Everything you would need is a short walk away. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was very nice and well decorated.

My only criticism is the hair dryer. It’s an old style thing with a hose and very little air coming out. After 1½ minutes, it gets hot and stops, and has to cool off before it will turn on again. Even so, that is a minor inconvenience and not enough to keep me from coming back.

We stayed at Malher Hotel at Double Room Top Floor for 3 nights. We had a very comfortable stay. Room was very clean, bed is comfortable. Room is very quiet and specious. Bathroom is clean and renovated. Room temperature was very comfortable at night. Not too cold not too hot. Location is superb. A lot of cafes and shops around, subway station a few steps away, bus is close by as well, nice walkable and safe neighborhood. You can walk everywhere. Taxi is around the corner. I would defently stay there again!

Small elevator. Considering it is old historic building, this is what you would expect in Paris. It didn't bother us much so.

Excellent location. Lovely hotel. Clean. Quiet at night. Friendly staff. Good facilities and good breakfast. Good shower. Nice comfy bed. I liked chromcast on TV so i could watch netflix, prime etc. Right beside St. Paul metro station. Right in the heart of great restaurants and nightlife. Metro line gives easy access to main tourist attractions. Would highly recommend this hotel and would be sure to stay again here next time i visit Paris. Les Marais is perfect place to stay in Paris.

No complaints

We had a nice big room in the top floor (#61) it was very quiet with large windows overlooking the terrace. The bathroom was modern and bright with a completely separate room for the toilet. The bed was comfortable and had a true queen sized bed, not two beds pushed together. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The elevator was tiny with only enough room for two people, so we had to make two trips with our luggage.

Outstanding location with so many shops and restaurants and so close to the metro! Absolutely lovely, comfortable room and PERFECT for a solo woman traveler. The staff was exceptional and patient with my attempts at French. Although there were no promises, they WERE able to give me an early check-in, which was so lovely after a LONG day of travel.

Bathroom was tiny yet somehow very efficient and comfortable and maintained in good condition. Room was also small but had good desk and storage space. Bed was comfortable too. Good natural light from large windows made room feel less small than it really was. Hotel location is excellent. Metro was close as was great food and shopping options.

Room was right beside the elevator that made loud noises early mornings while we were asleep & last nights. Room was otherwise small but very comfortable. Bathroom door squeaked very loudly but we informed front desk and it was repaired the next day. Property should have offered us a discount or free breakfast in lieu of the elevator noise or squeaking door which kept us awake a few nights but neither was offered. Staff did not appear to speak conversational English.

The rooms were very lovely, beds very comfortable with a fantastic bathroom! The location was fantastic, so close to central Paris, with lots of lovely restaurants and cafes in the area. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful

There was not much I didn't like! The hotel was not cheap but I think the location and the comfort of the rooms made up for this. The lift was absolutely tiny, and the stairs were a bit wonky and lopsided but you can't expect much different in an old Parisian building!
