citizenM Paris Gare de Lyon

CitizenM is perfect for travelling with a child. The rooms are small but very comfy, with a techy touch that all children love (change color, lights etc). Adjusting the temperature actually works, so you can have the room super cool or very warm. The large, super comfy bed and and the large wall TV are excellent for an early night watching (your own) Netflix before going to sleep. The 24/7 restaurant is extremely low key, but with really good food. It's basically like being in your own living room, bur with some other people hanging about as well. Barista coffee is included in the breakfast - a great feature. This hotel is also situated near a metro station, excellent transportation from the airport or around Paris. The room is too small to share with a colleague or a friend, but perfect if you are travelling with a child (even a teenager) or a spouse. Don't let the small size of the room put you off, it's so much better than a larger, traditional hotel room.

There is no body lotion, shampoo or conditioner available in the room, only (great smelling) soap / body&hair wash. Considering that many people travel without checking in their bags, and the limitation is a small bag or liquids, hotels must provide such things.

That was a really nice stay! Location is perfect, you walk 2 minutes to the station Gare de Lyon, 3 minutes to river Seine. The staff was really, really friendly and helpful, the digital check-in process worked pretty well. I could choose between different floors. The room was comfy and clean. You can control everything about lights, A/C and curtains via a personal iPad, which also gives you further information. Breakfast was rich and tasty. All in all a perfect stay!

There's hardly anything negative to say about this hotel. Price was quite high, but so is every hotel in Paris, I guess. One thing: you cannot open the windows and have to cool the room by A/C, what I personally don't like, but it worked well, wasn't hearable or too windy.

I liked the location, very close to the train station! I really liked the staff at the hotel. They were very helpful and communicated with us like we were friends forever!

The one thing that was the absolute worst part of the stay was that the bed was up against the wall! As senior citizens, it was very difficult getting in and out of bed! We are not that comfortable checking in by computer. I felt like everything was so computer oriented, it was a bit uncomfortable. However, the staff were all quick to help us out! They were awesome!

CitizenM is one of my favorite hotel brands! The one at Gare de Lyon is 5 min walk from the train station and 2 min from the purple subway, so very conveniently located, especially for who travels with the TGV. From the bar on the 16th floor you can see the whole Paris, and also from the rooms the view is very nice. Room and common spaces very clean. Amazing staff, who made a very cool surprise to my friend who celebrated her birthday during our stay. We also had breakfast, it was very high quality and not very expensive. The neighborhood is naturally not very appealing, being so close to the station, but it's easy to get to the city centre also on foot.

Although the room was extremely ‘compact’ it had everything we needed - including a large, comfortable bed. Along with the helpful and charming staff, the hotel’s biggest strength is its communal areas; being able to enjoy a truly awesome view of the sun setting over the city whilst drinking a cocktail on the 16th floor was very special!!

In many ways the location is brilliant (next to the station and a 30 minute walk along the river can take you to the centre of Paris). I just felt a little uncomfortable walking from the station to the hotel at night. Nothing happened and perhaps I’m being unnecessarily nervous but it could be worth bearing in mind.

This was a very last minute booking made whilst en route from Zurich to Paris. The modern hotel, within 2 minutes walk of Gare de Lyon, provided everything I needed in the circumstances. The room was basic but spacious, quiet, clean and secure. The aircon was very effective ( I actually had to turn the temperature "up") and the blackout blinds, excellent power shower and a very large comfy bed were just what I needed after a long hot trek across Europe. The concierges, both on arrival and departure, were very helpful and friendly (was this really Paris?). If you want 10% more "luxury" at twice the price then feel free but, based on this experience I'll be back. Well done CitizenM

I like the hotel- this is my second stay, and whenever I come to Paris I select to stay at this hotel, as this hotel provides very high quality comfort- the bed is super comfortable, there is no noise at all ( I believe the rooms are with quality sound isolation), so you can have a deep and relaxing rest nand sleep. I also like the location of the hotel, very easy to connect with other parts of the city- the metro station and gare are just 1 min walk from the hotel. Another thing I liked as well is the lobby bar- you can sit and relax in the evening. Will definitely return to this hotel again.

I loved the view from the bar and the 10th floor, where my room was of Paris sites such as the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. The lobby was great to just chill and recharge, both mind and phone. The staff where very polite and accommodating, my room was cleaned every day and the pastries served at breakfast where good.

I didn’t realize the shower and toilet where together so the toilet area got wet after using the bathroom. I also didn’t realize that the cooked breakfast variety was only 4 dishes, with a few not being appropriate if you are on a vegetarian diet.

It was a Technological driven environment with an iPad controlling the lights, blinds, curtains, room temperature and even the television. You can initiate your room service request from the iPad and even order your meal. Awesome shower! They had a mood light, the guys at the reception spoke very good english. Very tech savvy people with lots of innovation. Check out and check ins were seamless. It was very close to the train station so it was easy to move around. EVERYTHING WORKS!

The room was quite too small compared to what I expected. My room's phone was bad and I complained and it was never fixed all through my 9 day stay. Sad! Aside that it was awesome
