Mercure Paris Gare De Lyon TGV

the location Is amazing next to Gare De Lyon, the main station that connect Paris and have direct train to Disneyland. the room size is ok for Paris, it can feet only two people. the bed where comfy. for security, only you can use the elevator by using room card, which is great. the people at the reception are great and helpful, however felt they need more staff at the reception withy such big and busy hotel.

the house keeping need an upgrade, they skip to clean corners or under bed, they are trying but i think they are understaff for the number of rooms. but they do clean the toilet and bath very well and replace the towels and the clean the bed daily.

closeness to the train station and other amenities

Check-in at experience with a receptionist that was a bit short. Did not explain anything just gave us our cards and made us pay the city taxes immediately. No guidance for where to find our rooms, when is breakfast, etc

Staff were incredibly friendly, rooms were very clean and you could not hear any noise from the hallways or the city at night. Breakfast was great too - large variety of food and good value for money. There is a storage room for your bags if you arrive early or if you leave a couple of hours after check out, which is great.

The usb ports in the one room didnt work. Also please leave instructions on how to use the coffee machine? We used google maps to get to the hotel and it takes you around the back, which looks kind of dodgy -perhaps consider adding directions to your webpage/emails?

Great hotel that met expectations about regular new age hotel with normal wide selection breakfast. It was clean and there was great scent around public facilities of the hotel. Hotel was easy reachable with metro from different sightseeing spots, so this is a great choice if you want to stay a bit away from the center, but enjoy great comfort and non-typical breakfast for Paris. Staff was also very nice and welcoming!

Pillows were really uncomfortable, seems like - due to the form (square).

Clean and comfortable stay right next to Gare de Lyon so perfect for our one night stay before catching a train to the south of France. The rooms are small - we had a free upgrade which included a free mini bar, but still quite a small room. Perfect for a night though.

Nothing, it was perfect for our needs. Might feel a bit cramped if you wanted to spend more time in the room.

- The staff was mostly very nice and helpful. A young lady even helped us plan our trip to versailles and provided a map of the city. - Close to everywhere we wanted to go. - Air conditioned room. - Good breakfast for our taste.

- didn’t find a pair of slippers. Kinda expected it in a 4 star hotel. - the room is a bit old. Stained carpet, window barely stays closed, bad smells on the corridors and dust floating arround in the room.

We were 4 friends booked in 1 room with double beds they upgraded us free of cost to two rooms without prior request. Location is perfect just outside Gare de Lyon station we had long train from Milan to Paris and was blessing its barely 200 meters outside the train station. We walked. There is also taxi stop right in front of the station which was convininent on last day to go to airport the hotel also helps to call in the cab and charges few euros extra for reservation. Breakfast was very good. A lot of bar and cafes right across the road. There is 2 metro lines 14 and 3 that operate right next to the hotel to connect to central Paris. Not easy to go airport via public transport though.

As far as train and underground transportation is concerned, the location could not have been better. It is just outside the train station and in the center of one of major arrondisements in Paris. Something else that was nice was the beverages (water, orange juice, Coke, etc.) that were refreshed everyday.

I did not have any complaints

We arrived 8.45, tired and hungry and the 24 hr cafe only had pasta and one sandwich. The pasta tomato sauce was barely present. The panacotta was nice. The serving girl was very helpful and cheerful but had a very limited choice to offer. The nespresso machine in the room was very welcome but no milk was provided. The complimentary drinks were welcome. Very clean quiet anf efficient but there needs to be more food option for tired late travellers.

Great location right next door to the station and easy access to buses and taxis as well. The room was quite small for 2 people but we were there to see Paris so only went there to sleep after a big day. Staff were incredibly helpful in giving directions, organizing taxis etc. Considering the location, it was very quiet in the evening.

Room was quite small and there wasn’t a lot of space to open suitcases.
