Hotel Claret

The staff member on duty at reception was extremely kind when I booked at checked in at 2am after being stranded at Bercy bus station due to a faulty ticket. They actually had no twin rooms left, what I had booked, but I was upgraded to a double at no additional cost. The staff member also helpfully suggested I could extract a refund from the bus company for my stay and provided me with an invoice to do so. I stayed only a few hours owing to getting in very late and having to take a replacement trip home the next morning, but the bed was comfortable, the bath water hot and there were toiletries provided. Everything was extremely clean.

Some furnishings were a little worn, and the plug in the bath leaked, but everything else was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very good for the price. The metro is right outside the door, which goes directly to the Eiffel Tower. The check-in and parking of the car was uncomplicated. I also liked the breakfast. The room was fine, but a socket in the bathroom and next to the bed would have been an advantage. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

We arrived very late and didn’t need to use any amenities but the hotel room was comfortable if a little warm. The staff were amazing and very friendly and accommodated our very late arrival would recommend for a short stop especially if using for public transport major rail links and coach link round the corner.

For what we needed the room for nothing, it was clean and comfortable

The hotel is very close to Bercy station and Gare de Lyon is less than 10 mins walking. We chose to stay here as it was only for one night and has an early train from gare de Lyon. The neighbourhood has different cafés and restaurants and metro Bercy is few steps away. We walked to Latin Quarter/Notre Dame in 40 mins. When you arrive the hall and the lift do not look very modern or well-maintained but the room was ok: clean, comfy bed, big bathroom with facilities such as hairdryer.

Difficulty in accessing the WiFi, just one socket in the room.

The hotel is clean and good but the rate is very high.Be careful with the girl at the reception and take the payment confirmation slip. I went to vacate the room, I explained that I have paid for two days, but the girl and her partner did not agree and I was told that the hotel is fully booked and you should vacate the room. I contacted booking.com again. Booked a room in the hotel and stayed there for one more day, so don't deal with the staff.

We liked the bath & the bathroom was extra clean. The staff were very friendly & helpfull. Other than that we didn't get to enjoy the full experience the hotel had to offer as we left early & didn't take the breakfasts, use the common areas (which seemed very comfortable & user friendly & got home quite late!

We took the more expensive room on the 4th floor with airconditioning. It was smaller size but definitive not too small. Great beds! CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Great bathroom. White and clean. It was just 7 min walking from the Bercy bus station. there was a lovely restaurant in the back so easy to eat.

I think the owners could fix up the entrance a little bit with some simple carpets and some lightening. It looks a little dated but should not. So easy to do. The people did not speak too good English and did not offer a map or good directions when we asked where the river was.

price/value accordingly. staff was great, nice bed, small but comfortable shower, and even though it's next to the train station, if you close your windows you don't hear a thing. it was very quiet.

when I came inside the carpet was a bit smelly, but after I opened the windows it got better.

Friendly staff quiet rooms and a lot of character. The staff was able to accomodage me quickly despite my early arrival. The rooms are clean and offer a lot of space.

A shower rod and elevated shower head would have been nice in the bathroom. I understand the limitationsof having the bathroom under the roof with a lower ceiling but this would be a great additionto the newlt renovated bathrooms
