Monsieur Saintonge

The property was beautiful and location was super. It’s on a great street with shops, restaurants and bars close! It’s really trendy and very well done inside. Room, although the usual small side for Paris was beautiful and had big windows opening onto the street. Good light and decor. The staff on arriving and leaving were excellent. We don’t speak French so I do worry this offends some French people but we were made to feel so welcome. We would definitely come back here.

The only dislike were the pillows. We seemed to have quite hard foam pillows and then 2 very thin pillows which we didn’t find very comfortable. Although this is very personal to an individual take.

Maison Saintonge is a lovely little boutique hotel in a great location in Le Marais. Friendly staff on reception, good English spoken, cosy and quirky design, warm comfortable room and bed, hot shower, and some nice touches like premium bathroom products, bottled water. The rooms are small but well designed, with enough storage to unpack for a few days, plenty of plug points, so you have everything you need. Wonderful to be able to walk straight out to little cafes, restaurants, shops and the Picasso Museum is under 10 minutes away. It's on a side street, so not too much through traffic.

The rooms are close together, so if you have noisy people in the room next door, you'll be able to hear them.

The room was undoubtedly small as has been pointed out by many reviews but its cheerful, comfortable and very well arranged. All the basic requirements have been provided and there is a place for everything. Paris hotels are definitely more expensive than most other places for the quality and size they provide. Maison Saintonge has managed to pack in a lot in the small space. The service was very good. We did not face any issues at all with the service.

Beautiful hotel, so clean and comfortable. In a lovely area of Paris, close to lots of shops and restaurants. I would 100% stay again. :)

Struggled to get the shower at the right temperature and pressure. Not a major issue.

I loved staying at this hotel, the decor is chic with nice details, and the location is ideal. The staff was helpful and friendly. I did not try the hotel's breakfast because there are so many options in the area.

You leave the key at the reception, which is always open, which is great, but I would prefer a more secure approach (receptionists change, and I'm not sure how they keep track of the guests). There was a guest in the next room who was giggling loudly while watching Spongebob, which is not ideal at 5 a.m. while you're trying to sleep, and the walls are not soundproof to prevent this.

I booked last minute and arrived flustered from a personal crisis - the hotel is super cute, literally one of the best locations in Paris, and the front desk staff was the absolute sweetest. Windows that open are also a huge plus for me and my room was across a little walkway so that even if I could hear other people from the courtyard it felt super cozy while breezy at the same time. Updated details did not feel cheap or too 'tik tok' like they sometimes do, kept the classic Parisian feeling whilst being very clean and welcoming.

The bed was a little uneven but honestly average, not bad at all, will absolutely book again when I need to stay other places than friends' homes in Paris!

The location is central but on a quiet road. The standard of the rooms is very high (clean, good quality furnishings). The staff is lovely and super friendly. My son loved the free sweets! :)

To be honest, everything was as expected. I expected the rooms to be small as that is just what you get in Paris. Perhaps this room was arguably the smallest I have ever experienced, but the rest made up for that. I could also hear the upstairs/next door plumbing when people showered or pushed the flush. I guess that is also expected in smaller boutique hotels. Having said this, I would return to this hotel.

Super charming, incredible location in the Marais. This is an old-school hotel. Tiny rooms, tiny elevator, but clean and overall a great place to stay. Was quiet and got great sleep. We had some alternate plans come up and needed an extra room for our daughter and then to extend our stay and the staff was super accommodating and helpful making that happen. Really appreciated that.

Like I said, rooms are small, elevator is also small, but that didn't bother us at all. It was clean and charming.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Maison Saintonge in Paris. When we arrived earlier than expected, the personnel went out of their way to accommodate us and get us checked in as soon as possible. The hotel's interior is tasteful and sophisticated, with a perfect blend of modern amenities and classic Parisian charm. Every detail is immaculately executed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. And the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure that our needs were met, offering helpful recommendations for places to visit and eat in the local area. It's clear they care about their guests and do everything to make their stay as comfortable as possible. We highly recommend Maison Saintonge for anyone visiting Paris.

I had an amazing experience staying at Hotel Maison Saintonge, located within such an incredible location like Marais; its proximity to so many wonderful places along with convenient access via public transport meant that getting around town couldn’t have been easier or more enjoyable! The hotel is beautifully designed and maintained - from check-in onwards everything ran smoothly thanks to an extremely helpful and friendly staff who were knowledgeable about every aspect of their services. The rooms themselves were quiet which allowed me to really relax after long days exploring nearby attractions; I especially enjoyed the pillows selection available when it came time for going nighty-night as there were Tempur-Pedic pillows on offer which made all the difference for my sleep quality! From delicious food options right outside your door through captivating art galleries just a few streets away – you won’t be short on things do while visiting here. The historic Marais neighborhood of Paris is one of the most fantastic locations in the city, and my recent visit there only served to confirm this. Close to some of the best restaurants, shopping areas, museums and public transport links in all of Europe, it’s a safe area with plenty on offer for tourists.
