Hotel Hermitage

The location is amazing! The fact that it’s in the 5th floor makes it great to have a delicious breakfast with a view. Elevator that comes up quickly as well. The room was very comfortable plus the air conditioner would run without electricity so that when you came into the room it would be nice and cold.

The shower was outside of the toilet and transparent. The room didn’t have a fridge. The windows and the floor was thin because it’s an old building so we could hear the chairs moving upstairs and the people outside partying. There was also too much light coming into the room in the morning even with blackouts.

The location is on perfect right next to Ponte Vecchio and near all the main spots. Giacomo was lovely as well as the rest as the team. We ended our stay with a lunch on the rooftop terrace where the service and food quality was amazing. We strongly recommend for a stay in Florence ! Stayed in room 409 that has the view on the river. Book a parking in advance if you come by car, although it will still be very expensive (45€/day for the most centric one).

The location is great, almost in front of the ponte vecchio. Very well centered. Easy to access by walking to all sites to visit. The room and hotel are cleaned. The breakfast, eventhough it doesn't change, is good and full. The staff is kind and welcoming. We went by car and the hotel advised us a car park only 5 min walk from the hotel.

The room was a bit too small for a family of three. Even though the style is "classic", I would advise a bit of modernity to the decoration.

Convenient to everything

The restaurant they have did not permit guests to leisurely sit and have a drink and at certain times of the day the elevators were crowded and the lounge was crowded so nowhere for guests to sit and enjoy the hotel. Also, for a long stay the hotel no longer offers laundry service which is disappointing for someone staying for a week to ten days. There appears to be a very transient clientele, staying one or two days only. The large number of lunch and dinner guests really spoiled the stay of guests at times.

The staff and owners understand the industry. Their personal attention and servicemindedness was outstanding. I like to mention them all, but specifically Paulo, Jacopo, cham and Alina and very, besides all the lovely ladies in the office e restaurant and domestic department. They are all so valuable for making my stay beautiful.

The booking.com system where 2 rooms for my clients were cancelled. It caused huge stress. Fortunately the hotel could make a plan and I didn't have to go through the embarrassment.

The hotel is in a really great location. The rooms were tidy and well lit, and the staff were polite and approachable. The breakfast room is really nice, and there's a good selection of food. The view is also really nice.

The lift up to the hotel itself is pretty small - I appreciate though that there's nothing the hotel can do about this fact. Prior to checking in, you have to ring the bell and wait for the reception to grant you access to the lift which was a little confusing. Thankfully that only happens at check in. Our room was almost directly under the breakfast room, which unfortunately meant we could hear the sounds of chairs being moved and other ambient noises from above at certain times of the day. It wasn't the end of the world though, and was more of a "oh, we can hear movement" as opposed to it being so noisy as to be unlivable.

The hotel was in an amazing location. Rooftop bar was a lovely addition with great views. Our room I found a little disappointing at first. It felt like we were put in the furthest corner in the hotel, and had to walk past all the laundry and good trays. However, the room was so quaint & had a lot of character. It was a great base for us and the breakfast each morning was lovely.

Absolutely zero wifi or signal in our room, not a massive issue but a little frustrating. Many wasps on the breakfast food and no effort to get rid of them. Room was smaller than images let on.

The location, next to Ponte Vecchio was fantastic. Despite being in the center of a really touristy area, our room was pretty quiet. There is a really nice restaurant all the way to the top with a gorgeous view of the roofs and the top of the Duomo. The breakfast room was also very pleasant with beautiful views. Staff was super nice and helpful.

There are quite a few steps to walk up to the elevator (reception is on the top floor), which could be challenging with large luggage.

This is a wonderful hotel in a perfect location - right by the Ponte Vecchio - you can walk everywhere. It's beautiful. It's accessed by stairs and a lift and it's not quiet because of where it is, but don't let this put you off! Our room and bathroom were huge. All of the staff are lovely. The breakfast has a great selection and is delicious. There's a lovely lounge and the roof terrace restaurant is just sublime.

Nothing!

Breakfast is always good and more than sufficient for our needs. Staff are outstanding; Alina, Frederica and Arora all first class. Location is superb, no doubt about that. Linen change was appropriate for our stay. Clean towels everyday which was need due to outside temperarure being very high.

To have the use of an iron and ironing board would have made life a lot easier. The only hotel on my travels with no facility for this.
