Relais Uffizi

I stayed in this hotel in 2019 and loved the location and the view. On this vacation, I found that they had updated the entire hotel and it is spectacular! The style was attractive, the bed extremely comfortable and the hot,cooked to order, breakfast delicious! Well done Relais Uffizi.

So this is being picky, but the hightop tables in the breakfast/ lounge area, have uncomfortable chairs. I am 5’3 and my feet dangled while sitting in them. Most chairs that sit at hightops, have a ledge or bar which you can rest your feet, but yours are too low. Sitting at those window tables is such a treat but I had to move because of that situation, I just mentioned.

The property was relatively new (recently renovated) and everything about the place was very clean and nice. The staff was very helpful, friendly and hospitable. They helped with restaurant bookings & sight seeing. They also provided good recommendations of different sights. The location was nearby to major tourist sights which makes it a distinct location in the centre.

The property was beautiful. The refurbishment from an old castle to a hotel was so well done. All the comforts while still being able to detect the history in the building. The location is excellent. It’s right by the Palazzo de signoria which has the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi museum and is a short walk to the Duomo.

We visited during a heat wave and the hotels air conditioning was not able to keep the room cool. We spent a few very uncomfortable nights - although we were provided a fan which helped somewhat. After 4 nights they finally had someone come in to fix the AC unit and our last night at the hotel was blissfully cool. Unfortunately the staff did not seem to feel any urgency in fixing the situation and we received a few different responses about what was wrong with it.

Stunning boutique hotel in an excellent location! This hotel is down a laneway just steps from the action. It's a quiet oasis in the middle of Florence. Our room was fantastic! stylishly decorated with a great bathroom and lovely toiletries. Fabrizio was so friendly and helpful and helped us book tours and recommended some great restaurants. The breakfast room had amazing views of Piazza Della Signora. Our breakfast was included and your ordered from a menu which was great and the coffee was excellent. Our bed was super comfortable and the pillows so fluffy. We would definitely stay here again!

Great breakfast and great staff. It was a last minute, same day booking so I was happy to book into such a modern, clean and friendly hotel. It’s literally just a few steps from the Piazza della Signoria.

I did book this last minute, same day so most likely got one of if not the last available room. It was fine for one person but I would recommend a larger room for two people. There was not much room to walk around the foot of the bed to get around to the other side but other than that no complaints about the room at all. The rooms and entire hotel are beautifully appointed. I was a bit uncomfortable as a solo woman traveler that the hotel entrance is somewhat secluded down a very small alley like street so walking back after dinner alone made me feel a little uneasy. I should note though that the small street is right off of the Piazza della Signoria so it’s just a minute walk to the hotel.

The Hotel was close to everything. The decoration was elegant and beautiful. The staff was very helpful, helped us with last minute lunch reservation and airport transfers. The room was comfortable and the included breakfast was fantastic.

I was very happy overall, I only have two recommendations: (i) the hotel has two possible access streets, the auxiliary one was not clean, I suggest the hotel makes sure the Council cleans it.

Absolutely everything. So so close to everything. Absolutely stunning boutique hotel. The staff was incredible! The rooms were large and clean. The air conditioning was COLD. The soundproofing was amazing. Location was perfect. There is a happy hour every night with Spritz’s included. The breakfast is perfect to start your door. Just loved everything about the hotel.

The location and comfort of the hotel was excellent. The staff were also very helpful with restaurant recommendations and bookings prior to our arrival.

Our room door seemed to be in a wind channel when there was a lot of movement just outside which created an annoying sound when that happened. which was quite often at times since we were on the same floor as the reception. For this reason I would recommend staying on the 1st floor, not the 2nd.

We were very lucky to be able to book last minute when we couldn’t stay at another hotel. The position and view from the lounge were fantastic. As were the style and comfort of the recent refurbishment. The breakfast was thoughtful and modern and appealed to us especially as Australians! For the most part the staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Of particular importance to us was the excellent advice regarding dining options. I have traveled to Firenze several times and this was by far the best stay!

We really can’t think of anything we didn’t like!

Room size was good and clean. They offer table service for breakfast which is good and has quite a few options. Snacks and drinks in mini bar is free.

Whilst location is good, there is no direct taxi access. You have to drag your luggage a short distance in a small alley to get there. Room walls are thin so will affect your sleep if you have noisy neighbours.
