Hotel della Signoria

it was almost perfect! they just didn't have a rubber mat for the shower. so it was a wee bit slippery for the oldies. and our room was quite strange that the shower was detached from the toilet area. but overall, it was a very good stay. spacious clean room! members of the staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was pretty good too with a wonderful view. it really wakes you up in a good way. i had two separate bookings and the dates overlapped. i requested through booking.com that they consolidate the bookings so that we wouldn't be transferring rooms anymore. at first, they said they couldn't. but when we arrived at the hotel, they were able to work it out and our stay was seamless!

there's no option to leave the room undisturbed when not occupied. although i'm sure we could have asked the front desk to not clean our room. we just forgot because we're used to having a sign on the door that says do not disturb. but it's no biggie. would 100% stay here again if given the opportunity :)

great stay.refectory, and I say again, perfect location. we got a corner room, looking right down onto the street a block from the Ponte Vecchio. everything close by. super clean, awesome staff - very helpful. beds were super comfy. great breakfasts included in the morning on the rooftop overlooking the city.

odd shower in the room, with glass doors - just a bit strange, but interesting.

Very good location. Everything was accessible. Excellent Service from the Staff Especially from the Breakfast Service and Alex from Reception.

The Aircon thermostat was fixed at 22 celsius. we wanted a cooler setting to 17 But aircon did Not allow for this.

Location was fantastic! Cleanliness of the room excellent and breakfast was delicious.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly and given all the information we needed to get settled in. Our room was spotless, and this level of cleanliness carried throughout the hotel. Our room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels, sheets and new toiletries provided each time. The staff at breakfast are so friendly and happy to make you coffee and eggs to go along with a great Continental style selection. It is in a perfect location with the Palazzo Vecchio a 2 minute walk away, the Duomo 5 mins away and the Ponte Vecchio just down the street. There are great options for food nearby and plenty of gelato stores and wine bars dotted around the district. I honestly cannot thank the entire team at the Hotel della Signoria for their help in making our stay so wonderful. When we come back to Florence we will 100% try and stay here again! Professional and kind staff. Breakfast was amazing and the ladies are excellent…full breakfast, eggs on request. The hotel arranged with a nearby parking lot to keep our car €40 per day which is a great price for center downtown. Location is perfect: steps from the Ponte Vecchio bridge and easy walk to all museums, even Bobolis Gardens. Live music and restaurants everywhere. We unloaded luggage right at the hotel and the garage comes and takes your car then brings it when you are leaving.

The extra beds were a two piece trundle sofa and my daughters weren’t very comfortable because it was made as one bed, with the split going horizontal. We separated them, and it was better but not very comfortable because it wasn’t a mattress.

The location is exceptional. A short walk from everything. It would be hard to have a better location. The room was about average size for this part of the world but very well appointed. The bathroom was larger than average with a very nice walk-in shower. The breakfast was also excellent. Served on a covered roof-top deck, it offered made-to-order eggs and a wide selection of meats, cheese, and fabulous breads among other items. The room was spotless and was fully cleaned every day. The AC worked well and it was close to 90F during our visit.

The elevator was not working during our stay which required us to walk up to our room. Not their fault but an inconvenience. They did have someone to bring our bags up and down for check-in and out.

Location was perfect- could not be better. Bed was comfortable and bathroom though small, clean and totally adequate.

The ac ran constantly but couldn’t get the room cool enough for hot summer nights. Woke up all night sweaty as did everyone in our party’s rooms (8 of us) . Breakfast on the roof was lovely, but also not air conditioned so by mid morning, a sweat bath. Everyone was so nice and the property lovely, so if you’re not coming in summer I’d still highly recommend.

Position is outstanding. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags there early and pick them up late. I needed a doctor, on a public holiday, and they arranged it immediately. Can't praise them enough. It is a small hotel with an extremely welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing, coffee, food and service. Windows could be opened, we could listen to the life below and when closed it was completely silent.

The doors to the wardrobe could not be completely opened as they hit the end of the bed. Maybe they could be replaced with sliding doors or an open wardrobe setup.

The location was perfect ! Being so close to the Piazza Della Signoria was great for first time tourists to Florence. The staff were very helpful and kind and couldn’t be faulted. Air-con worked well and was easy to use ! Beds were comfy.

There was only 2 x electrical outlets in the room and the one in the living room was broken so could only use the one in the toilet. The shower was out in the open in the room maybe ok for a couple bit traveling with family meant one person had to be on the balcony while the other showered.
