Hotel Torre Guelfa Palazzo Acciaiuoli

Absolutely perfect location on a quiet side street right next to the Ponte Vecchio. Everything you wanted or needed to see was within a five minute walk. All of the staff were excellent. The breakfasts were over the top and the service was perfect. Don’t forget to go to the rooftop bar for one of the best views of surrounding old town Florence. Great bed, clean and a really nice bathroom and shower. Well ventilated and air conditioned

Location, location, location is the Key and it was great!!! The fact that it is very close to Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo added awesome features to the hotel. Also this Hotel has a Magnificent view of Florence especially at night. They have a tower that opens 24 hours a day with a bar. This make this hotel stands out. Its unique and charming. I would stay to this hotel again. Thanks to Rick Steves to recommend this hotel. The breakfast are wonderful. They have a lot of selections and more than enough for everyone. The Staff are so helpful and friendly. Vivian is so nice and love her scrambled eggs and Cappuccino.

The hotel was centrally located which was super easy to visit the city with the family; 2 young kids (10 & 9). We only had to use a taxi to/from the train station to the hotel. Everything else was literally within walking distance. The room was very spacious for the 4 of us and the hotel was extremely nice. It is a historical landmark and the tower, which is easily accessible, provides fantastic views of the entire city.

There was nothing that I didn't like about this hotel! Everything was absolutely perfect! They even provided a separate room to store luggage after we checked-out so we could do a little more shopping!

This hotel has a great location for the sites you'll want to see in Florence. We walk as much as we can once we arrive and the train station is a brisk 15 minute walk (without luggage). The Uffizi, Duomo and Pitti Palace are within 5 minutes at most. We found the breakfast here to be the best of our 4 stops, excellent coffee and the staff working the breakfast room were very friendly. There is a small convenience store right across the alley (road), a gelato/sandwich shop 50m up the street. There are two restaurants on either side of this hotel (Toto is the one you want to try!) From the breakfast room there are stairs to a rooftop terrace which is not very big but gives you a fantastic view of the city at night and some great photo ops. The front desk arranged our trip to Cinque Terre and taxi to the train station on the day we left. This was our second time to Florence and have nothing but nice things to say about this place. When staying in older hotels like this you have to look around and understand their history, I think what the signs in the lobby say is that it was once a house and built in 1341.

Very well located close to the Ponte Vecchio and other major attractions, apart from any number of dining out as well as an excellent Conrad supermarket close by. Breakfast was excellent with a good range of food options and terrific cappuccinos.

Our room needed a bit of a freshen up and was showing its age. AC wasn’t the best and thought plastic cups for the bar fridge and other use that were not replaced just seemed cheap…who wants to drink out of plastic?

The location was great for walking to famous sights like the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. The Tower Bar, although a bit of a climb, was an excellent vantage point overlooking Florence—spectacular sunset! The included breakfast offered a good variety of food & beverages. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed this historic property, but it was undergoing some renovation and was a bit confusing to us on our first arrival day. If you are driving, there is the extra challenge of navigating to the piazza where a driver from the contracted garage meets you to take you to the hotel and drop your car off at the parking garage.The hotel receptionist was a big help to us when we called and told him we were lost. It all worked out well in the end!

Breakfast was amazingly varied. There was something for everyone fresh pastries, fresh eggs, quiche, brie, ham, provolone cheese, fresh olives, delicious coffee, cappuccino, cereals, 4 kinds of juice. the staff was so lovely and went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed.

Everyone from Johnny, the night front desk man to the staff which clean the rooms to the people who served in the dining room, was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. I checked in after midnight, and they greeted me with such welcome I had booked through two differentbooking.com bookings. One for one night, and then a completely separate booking for a second night he made sure that everything went smoothly

Location was perfect, staff were excellent, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and I cannot say enough good things about Vivian it’s creator.

We were somewhat disappointed to find that photos posted on booking.com are not accurate: they depict a luxury room but in reality the fit and finish need TLC, our bathroom fan began growling, needing repair and another guest had no hot water. All these things left the impression of a facility just hanging.

I loved the feeling of the building, tower, breakfast room and shared rooms. The breakfast was specially good. The pastries, cold cuts, fruits, eggs, bread were perfect. The best breakfast we had in our trip. Loved the terrace, even though it rained the staff was excellent and provided wonderful service. The front desk staff was really good as well. We asked them to print our train tickets and they were most helpful.

The bed was too hard and the bathroom a little too small. The shower and toilet were raised up making it a little hard to access.

Very nice centric option, extremely convenient, right in the middle of Florence, just few meters away from Ponte Vecchio and all the great surroundings. Easy access, just walking, to attractions, restaurants, cafes, shopping. Great location. The hotel's building is a castle and has a tower with an excellent view of the city. The staff was attentive. Nice breakfast included in the rate. Our room was comfortable and spacious. We would consider this hotel for a next trip.

It was a bit pricey option, but we were really pleased with the overall experience, location and service. Nothing else to highlight.
