I have nothing but high regards for this property...The staff was exceptionally professional, polite & very helpful...The hotel is gorgeous, the old world design & decoration is very tastefully done...Our 7-night stay on the 5th floor unit was perfect, the hotel was very accommodating, being there was a seating room, w/a door separating the main bedroom, where they moved a lovely red sofa & replaced it with a comfortable twin bed for me,-(being I snore & not to disturb my wife) & placed the sofa in her bedroom, along w/a lovely small powder room, not expected, it was a perfect situation...The breakfast buffet each day was delicious & the location was quiet & perfect for exploring Florence...They also assisted me w/arranging to park my rental car, to explore Tuscany in a garage, just behind the hotel...If we ever travel back to Florence again, we'll definitely stay there, loved it !

Absolutely nothing !!

Superbly located hotel in an old palazzo (supposedly the oldest hotel in Florence?). So central — a 10 minute walk to every major attraction in the Florence city centre. The breakfast buffet is superb! Such fresh delicious food. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. The staff are beyond helpful, so good at making reservations, recommending restaurants, providing random bits that were needed (like super glue!), brilliant service :)

Minor quibble but the toilet paper could be better quality. It’s such a minor thing but makes a difference to the experience. Also, and this one is a long running problem of mine, but being constantly addressed as Mr in written communications by Italian hotels starts to grate after a while. I wish they would make a bit more of an effort to check the guest’s gender before addressing them in writing!

This hotel is very well located, almost close to every tourist sites you want to visit! Florence Cathedral, Uffizi, the famous bridge, all working distance, even the garage is located almost right at the back door of the hotel! Ok, it is not a good idea to drive in Florence though, small streets and a lot of tourists! The hotel is very clean and all receptions are very helpful, they tried to find a ticket for me to visit “David” 😊 So definitely recommend this hotel!

The hospitality, front desk they were very attentive, patient, and helped us take the virtual covid test by providing us the room, in a pvt area, and looking into our needs. They suggested us with an excellent choice of bars and dining options, The attention to detail and customer satisfaction was top notch. will recommend to others n if im back will certainly stay at your hotel. The continental breakfast was exceptional, diverse variety, yummy and great service by the staff. Thanks you for making us feel so comfortable. My only feedback is to have better wireless connection, since we did experience this issue.

Wireless network connection was very patchy, but the staff provided us with a 1 day alternate connection.

The location is fantastic - very central. Check-in was seamless and people at reception were very nice. Our room was also quiet (which meant no views but that was fine with us because we didn't stay in the room long). Room was clean and spacious, AC was working well, and we had everything we needed. We didn't try breakfast, so can't comment.

Only nice-to-have for a 5 star (but we knew they didn't have it when we booked) would be a small gym room. The building is historic and beautiful so I guess it's just a matter of space.

The staff were super , they never made me feel I was asking too many questions, recommendations for tours, shopping etc Location could not be better, walked everywhere and easy to find when I got lost Breakfast was just beyond fabulous I loved my time there

I would have liked a restaurant to eat dinner...but ended up being minor as so many great choices close by

Loved the location, room and general ambience. Card for electricity in room kept "failing" and not working... lights also confusing... so many switches also not clear the wardrobe ones how to switch-off... breakfast super offering but lacked some logicals eg plates not quickly visible... but in general beautiful presentation and signage... and great offering

Understand that staffing has been an issue with pandemic etc... I feel management needs to be on top of small details such as knocking before entering, making sure staff double-checks customer requests etc...also at the breakfast bar, I felt staff is spread thin for multiple demands in terms of timely service

Very strong perfum smells in the common areas Noise in the street wakes you up (I guess nothing to do about it because of the narrow streets and the historical building)

The lobby is beautiful, our room was very spacious (we had the “Amici Miei” room), spotless, and seemed to be recently renovated. The location was perfect: ten minute walk from the station, nearby main attractions, high end shopping and many cafés and restaurants. The staff was very attentive. Buffet breakfast was great to get good energy for your morning ahead.

There was a funky smell around the halls of the second floor (as it is not uncommon with older/historic buildings) but nothing intolerable, especially while wearing a mask. They used a diffuser help concealing it and it worked.

Location is really great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Specially the concierge service lady Mariasilvia is so helpful. She helped us to arrange several dinners, tour guiders etc. She is always there to help you out. We really owe her a great thank you.

A few rooms are not great for such 5* prices. We stayed one night at one tiny room. Fortunately we could switch to another room and stayed there till end of our vacations.
