Hotel Il Bargellino

The location near the main train station, the friendly atmosphere and warm welcome from the local owners were great. The room was basic but just what I needed as I spent most of my time exploring the city so a fantastic bargain/value for money for my needs and long stay.

Cupboards a bit dusty so I had to clean them before to put my clothes inside. Fridge not quite cold enough if you intend on storing things like yoghurt and milk etc. There can be very noisy neighbours in the street due to the proximity of a restaurant/bar with a terrace that closed rather late at night, especially on weekends. Double-glazed windows might stop most of the noise in the future but I would recommend a room away from the street in the meantime.

It was a great experience. I did not encounter any problems at the hotel. In fact, I had a pleasant six days beyond my expectations. There are two reasons for this. First, the hotel and rooms are as seen in the pictures. The hotel's design is impressive and the terrace is very cute. Furthermore, the hotel boasts an excellent location - it is centrally situated yet secluded from the noise. Another reason is that Mr Carmel Coppola is helpful and wonderful. I am delighted to have met him.

I don't have any negative thoughts in general. However, the room I stayed in was facing the street, probably because there was no air conditioning, maybe it could be a problem in hot weather, but there was a fan and it was enough for me.

The location was great especially for the price. The staff were kind and welcoming; at check-in they spend a few minutes outlining a map they provide with all the top sightseeing places in the area. The facility was clean! Love the patio - we spent our mornings sipping coffee (the first coffee pod is complimentary, anything after is 0,50 euros; even instant coffee here tastes amazing!).

The mosquitos.. not the facility's per se fault. But for those who are planning to stay here, as lovely as the evenings and nights are, do yourself a favour and keep the windows closed for bed to avoid being bit up.

Excellent location in Florence, short walking distance to all attractions and the train station. The owners are delightfully warm and welcoming and made an effort to ensure I enjoyed my stay. The room had all the amenities i needed, super clean and comfortable. The terrace was lovely to enjoy an evening wine or breakfast in the morning. I would love to stay here again but maybe try a different room on the upper level.

My room was on the ground floor directly on the street so it was quite noisy overnight unfortunately and I didn't sleep that well, even with earplugs.

I spent three days in Florence and chose Il Bargelino because I needed the room only for sleeping and showering. All other hotels were well above my price acceptance. Even though the room only had a shared bathroom, I was still pleasantly surprised. Friendly hosts, all attractions within walking distance and everything clean throughout. There was no breakfast, but this is not significant because small cafes were located in the immediate vicinity. So, next time Florence gladly again

Location is very good as it is close to both the train station and the city center. The hotel has a very friendly staff that are on call 24/7 and is decorated very nicely.

The room I had didn’t have a toilet included which wasn’t really a problem but would be nice. There is no air conditioning in my room which would have been nice considering that it was high 30 degrees Celsius when I was visiting Florence. My room did have a fan that helped but the AC would have been better.

Excellent location, walkable distance to all touristic places. Outstanding attention we were treated like family, anything we needed was available by just asking. Very friendly family environment, A laundry service right across the street. caring people, we even got umbrellas from them when it was raining. The bed was excellent too. There is a fabulous terrace to enjoy your wine or just to seat and relax.

some nights it was noisy outside but nothing you can’t control with ear plugs

- A nice couple running the property. You can expect every kind of help / support by them when you are in Firenze. - Cleanliness is acceptable - Place is very close to train station, around 12 minutes walking - Very nice roof garden suitable for those who want to work with their laptop in a quite place. - Simple check in

Well... I spent few hours there. It is not a actually a hotel, just a homestay with a nice family. The negative points from my mind were: - Room had some mosquito. Even though they have mosquito wipe in the rooms, but during the night mosquitos bit my foots several times. - Furniture was old and outdated - Place is not very close to most touristic place except Accadmia, but generally it is not a big problem since Firenze is not a large city. - The noise insulation was not good. You can hear every kind of noise through window, especially drunk people who are yelling or talking with loud voice.

Hotel Il Bargellino is a wonderful place to stay! Great location close to the train station and an easy walk to the center of the city. The terrace is big and beautiful. Pino and Carmel are lovely and made me feel at home.

My only complaint is the August heat and having no A/C; it was quite hot, even at night. The room did have a fan.

Great family run place in the middle of all the logistics and attractions. Neat and cosy with very friendly and welcoming hosts. Serene terrase is a perfect bonus. Great thing is that rooms facing terrase don't have traffic sound pollution and provide perfect sleep in the middle of the busy city.

Great value for money. No complaints against the budget
