The room was super clean and stuff was so kind. The location is convenient. So silent street near main train station and around 15 mins by walk to duomo.

the problem is that you must be in the room maximum at midnight. otherwise you cannot get in the hotel. They don't provide you a key for the front door. it is like a dormitory:( Reception lady gave me their number and offered me to call them when I come back to the hotel after midnight to make them open the door. But I didn't want them to disturb and Saturday night I went to back to hotel at midnight:/ If you accept this then I absolutely suggest you to stay here

I was really impressed by this place! The nuns were so friendly and really went out of their way to help me and solve the few queries I had. I've seen previous comments talk about a curfew but if they still do that, no-one mentioned it to me! I was really impressed by the room, which though not remotely stylish had good amenities including cable TV, an ensuite and great air-con - comparable to other more expensive places I stayed in Italy. I also didn't experience much noise. I missed breakfast so can't comment on how good it was, but was able to grab a coffee - and sipping coffee in the garden beneath the wisteria-draped arches was an absolutely magical way to start my day. The garden is lovely and was a highlight for me. (NB i went in June). The location is good - about 7 mins from the station and 15 from the historic centre (and there's a nice park a few minutes away too). There's also a tiny lift which i appreciated when lugging my suitcase in/out. I could also store my luggage there after checkout which was helpful.

It's not a boutique hotel - expect rooms that are more functional than beautiful! Also yeah, it's a working nunnery so there is Christian paraphernalia around. When I pulled the curtains across the curtain rail fell off, but if it hadn't been midnight I'm sure the nuns could've fixed it. Also there were shutters to light blocking was so good.

I wish we just booked here and did a day trip to Rome. The place was very safe, not crowded and only a few steps from the train station! The nuns were nice and the rooms were huge considering what we only paid for. The bathroom was clean with a toilet bidet. The garden view was beautiful and the birds chirping in the morning just added to the wonderful experience we had. The nearby cafes for our early breakfast were enjoyable. I almost don't want to leave this kind of review for fear that tons of people will flock here and ruin the place. 😅

The mosquitoes! Don't open your balcony door and your bathroom window, lol! The mosquitoes are huge. As long as you follow this advice, you won't have a problem. Besides, you're in Europe. I don't think we have Malaria here...right? Anyway, I hate mosquitoes big time! But I never had a problem with it surprisingly, because of how beautiful the place was.

Everything was amazing. The nuns were very kind and accomodating, the breakfast was lovely, the room we got was also perfect. We even had aircon for the 37 degree days we had when we stayed. Also conveniently located, quiet enough that it's away from the tourist hustle, but still a quick <10min walk from the centre/main areas.

It was close to center and the train station. Nuns are positive and friendly. Entrance to the facility was easy, we had the key for main entrance too. Room looked clean and simple. Room was spacious. Bathroom and toilets were clean enough.

The walls and doors are very thin and they lack the sound insulation. You can hear somebody coughing in his room at the end of the corridor from your room.

Sister Lily was very welcoming. The convent has lovely cool terrazzo floors, a lift, spacious room with small balcony overlooking the garden. The aircon was very efficient. Breakfast was served in dining room- juice, cereal, yoghurt, pastries and an auto coffee machine. Walking distance to SM Novella Station and Mercato for great eating experience!

No dislikes

The hostel is run by nuns, all of whom are very sweet and helpful. The hotel is easy walking distance to the Duomo, the Uffizi, the Bargello Museum, and the Accademia Galleria. It was also less than a ten-minute walk to the train station. The rooms were quite tidy and the street is quiet. The hotel is clean, safe, and convenient.

My only complaint is that the bed mattress was awfully hard. I wish that had been better.

Simple, basic and very clean. I was there to sleep, have a hot shower and I did, really well. Very quiet and pleasant room and surroundings. Staff were brilliant and just pleasant.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. It fitted what I needed. But it's not for those who want a TV or want to come and go when they like as you don't get the key to the building and you gave to be back by midnight.

Perfect location, 10 minutes on foot from the train station, 10 mins from the market, 15-20 mins to the city centre with main attractions. Very nice polite sisters. Large room for one guest (I can only imagine a room size for two or more).

Door keys are old and very noisy :)
