Hotel De Petris

A lovely small hotel in a great location just a few minutes walk to the amazing Fontana di Trevi and restaurants galore. The Spanish Steps was only a 5 min walk from the Hotel and the Pantheon a bit further than that. We had a longer but easy walk to the Colosseum so in all it was a great central point to visit many of the tourist attractions. For people that like to use public transport the Metro was just up the road as well. Our family of 4 shared a room but there was ample space and the extra 'beds' were made up for us on arrival. The staff were professional and helpful when needed. A lovely stay.

I have nothing negative to say about the Hotel and our stay there.

Before one day of leaving we ask them to reserve a taxi to reach a train trip at exact time and they said no need the taxi is available and will come in 5 minutes from a call and next day we ask them to call a taxi and they said sorry no available taxi now but the taxi streets is near and actually it was so hard and no taxi there and we went by walk to station with two big luggage and kid its was 1 minute to miss the train trip

The location is amazing! It’s next to many restaurants and street food, and also very close to many tourist places. The staff was very kind and welcoming.

Continental breakfast didn’t have many options, specially for vegan and health options. The elevator is Lindt confusing to use and there’s no AC which makes pretty uncomfortable in the summer. Also the bath towels had a weird smell. The tv only has Italian channels and it’s not smart tv.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing location, in the center of Rome and most of the attractions were nearby. We could walk every where and we didn’t take a taxi to see the city at all!! We were 4 and the room size was great We were feeling like home! Nice roof garden for break fast. Strongly recommend it for every one!

The break fast was ok but could be better!

Location is really good. Plenty of restaurants around and easy walking distance to the sights. The staff was nice and helpful and it was easy to change the booking at the hotel due to some changes in travel plans. Breakfast was really cheap and even though it was not a full buffet, it included enough to get the day started.

The elevator is not always working properly. The key card was not read correctly and the elevator could not be used. It is not a problem whit rooms on the second floor, but the breakfast room being on the roof top garden and no clear signs for the stairs, the elevator was the first choice. The extra bed made out of sofa was not really comfortable. And the handicap toilet and shower in our room was really strange and when showering the whole bathroom got wet. Also the toilet was leaking from the root and the floor was wet all the time.

I booked a room at the last minute due to a scheduling issue with another hotel. The staff was amazing and accomodating. Showed me where to enter and exit after hours, showed me directly to my room and to the rooftop cafe for breakfast. When I needed a cab they called it immediately and it was there in 5 minutes. You absolutely cannot beat the location, a 5 min walk to the trevi fountain, with tons of cafes and shopping near by. I would 100% recommend it to everyone.

The only thing that was a little bothersome was that the walls are terribly thin and I was on a first floor room that opened out to the main courtyard. I could hear the staff moving furniture and spraying down the patio around 8 in the morning. I am sure that a noise/sleep machine or turning the TV on would have fixed the issue.

Location is great if you want to use the metro and go sightseeing and shopping. Within a short walk distance you'll find Trevi Fountain and many other must seeing sights. Staff is superb. always willing to help you. The location and welcoming staff. Rooms are good size and the top roof is very roman like style: good view and charming. Decent Italian breakfast. No continental breakfast but you staff is always willing to prepare you a little something if you ask them.

Please, check their wifi before booking. Some rooms have a bad connection. It's a big building and I guess some floors have a better connection.

Great location, central and yet on a quiet street away from all the tourists. The room was very spacious and loved that it had a balcony and a refrigerator.

There was nowhere to hang the shower handle in the bath and there was no curtain or glass doors so it was hard trying not to get any water on the floor. Would have been nice if the breakfast was included in the price.

staff were helpful in every way. The breakfast was delicious. The room was generally cleaned ie bins emptied new towels and bed tieded up.

I have a son in a wheelchair so entering was not the best 3 steps going in, no ramp. That was the only issue also possibly not able to use the balcony out of breakfast hours.

The staff were friendly on reception however the restaurant breakfast woman is a bit grouchy...the location is great and the room was a nice large size.

The bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable and the aircon was weak.
