Perfect location! Everything is so close by. We had 4 days in Rome and were able to walk to anywhere (Colloseum, Trevi, Pantheon, Vatican etc.). The hotel’s neighbourhood also has some really nice restaurants that aren’t too touristic (Read: not crowded, not overexpensive, and decent quality food).

The room was quite small compared to the pictures and it felt a bit outdated, ready for some refurbishment.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, bathroom facilities were good, breakfast was good. Location is unbeatable for a tourist who wants to walk to all the major sites. Room and shower stall were small but that’s to be expected in a great location in any big city. I’d much rather spend money to stay in a place like Hotel Forte than a chain hotel with bigger rooms and more facilities.

Occasionally noise from the corridor but you can’t expect people to whisper so you can go to sleep early, and the street is probably the quietest in the area.

The hotel was located in the city center. the location was great. we just walked to visit every famous place and there was no need to use public transport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. there was free natural water near the hotel. The breakfast regarding price was reasonable and enough to start an energetic day. The staff was friendly and nice.

the power outlet was just one in the toilet and there was no power outlet in the room, just there was a USB wall plug outlet for charging the cell phone in the room but it didn't work for my phone and I had to use the power outlet in the toilet and it was uncomfortable.

Amazing location!!! Staff was very kind, we had lots of privacy but they were available when needed.

When we arrived we were informed that the room won't be cleaned due to covid restrictions. We came there for a week and had to ask each time we wanted to exchange our towels or get additional shower gel sachet. When we finally asked to have our room cleaned, they only took the trash out, put the sheets together and exchanged towels, there was no other sign of cleaning (e.g. sink and mirror were clearly dirty). One more watch-out: there is no breakfast available at the hotel!

The Reception staff and the location were excellent features of Hotel Forte. The daily breakfast in the morning was good too. The Reception staff (Marco and Angelo) were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. For these reasons, I would, definitely, consider staying at Hotel Forte again on any future trip to Rome.

Having all-night Reception staff would make the hotel even better as it would provide an additional feature of security and comfort for solo travellers or those who might want to stay out late.

The location, on the most picturesque and historic street, cannot be beat. Within a minute or two You can walk to the Spanish Steps and go anywhere via taxi, metro, or by your own shoe-leather express. Also, when the crowds go home— or rain causes people to scatter—- YOU have the beautiful neighborhood all to yourself. The wonderful staff at Hotel Forte offered help in every way— with reservations and recommending local off-the-path places to try. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, very comfy beds… which makes a huge difference after a long day of walking and sightseeing.

Our first room was a small, but it suited our needs perfectly. After all, we were not here in Rome to spend time in our room. I have nothing bad to say about Hotel Forte… We loved it

The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful! We were pretty weary travelers when we arrived so that was appreciated! The breakfast was nice and seemed to provide a lot of options. The location was very close to the Piazza Di Spagna which was nice.

The room was very small, dimly lit and felt a little sad. The bathroom was just ok and the shower seemed to need some updating. The trade off for the location was the level of noise we could hear during the night.

The hotel is in an excellent location, less then a five minute walk to the spainish steps . Lots of restaurants to suit everyones budget Staff were very friendly & very helpful Great choice on the breakfast buffet hot & cold ,very fresh Loved the old fashioned lift

My only advice would be not to book a small double room pay for the extra space Had everything you needed but not much room to put bags & move around Didnt spoil my stay

The hotel location was wonderful for us. Close to the Metro and within walking distance of all of downtown Rome. This former opera house turned hotel in 1923 smells good, is clean, and beautifully decorated. it is smaller than a room in the US, but I appreciated the antique feel of the place. the shower was clean and had lots of water pressure. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. the breakfast was pleasant and the attendant made delicious coffee for us each morning, along with a decent food selection including eggs, bacon, pastries, cold cuts, and cereals.

the room was smaller than we’re used to in the US and there was no place to unpack our suitcases. there was also a nearby store with alarm issues that meant if you like sleeping in, you’d likely be woken up some days. i think this is just part of the experience of a more authentic stay in Italy though. i really didn’t mind adapting one bit.

This property has an elevator to get from the ground floor to the first floor. MOST in Italy do NOT and it can be HARD to get suitcases up and down stairs! One block from Spanish Steps, taxi stand, Metro station, high-end fashion shopping, while also on a quiet artist street at same time! Via Margutta was featured in the movie Roman Holiday - it was the street of Gregory Peck’s apartment. Great buffet breakfast too!

The ONLY down-side is that the rooms are a BIT small.
