Mario De' Fiori 37

This is an older hotel that has been consistently updated and is wearing very well. The hotel advertises suites and our room was large with a king bed, seating area, and alcove for the coffee maker, safe, and dresser. Water pressure was excellent and everything was clean and in good repair. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and all staff was attentive, pleasant, and English speaking. There was usually just one person at the front desk, but there never was a wait for assistance. I had asked prior to arrival if the hotel could arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel upon arrival, then from the hotel to our cruise ship five days later, and from the cruise ship to the airport following our cruise. There were 3 of us with several large suitcases. The hotel staff arranged all three rides with a service using a Mercedes van and transport was easy, reasonably priced, and no problem at all. Payment was made directly to the driver with no additional charge from the hotel for arranging the service. This made our trip easy and enjoyable. The hotel is located a block from the plaza in front of the Spanish steps in a neighborhood of narrow pedestrian shared streets filled with upscale shopping, restaurants of all levels, and coffee and gelato shops. We were there in August and it was hot and tourist intensive, but the location was a great area to linger in and a close walk to all the major sites.

As with most older buildings the elevator was very small. However, there was staff to assist with luggage so we didn't have to handle our luggage going either up or down.

I was originally supposed to stay at Hotel Mario De Fiori 37, but I got an upgrade to Hotel Babuino 181 from the same chain, which was a very pleasant surprise and made my first visit to Rome absolutely exclusive and unforgettable. The hotel staff is wonderful. There is a sense of professionalism in everything. Eleonora, Frondesk specialist, was most welcoming, attentive, very polite, and helped me out with every additional request, which is much appreciated. I needed help printing papers on a Sunday evening. Eleonora helped me with this in less than 5 minutes, and they were even instantly delivered to my room by a kind portier. The hotel helped me absolutely with all my additional requests. I will now stay in their hotels when I go back to Rome. Comfortable upper-class deluxe rooms, excellent location in a very beautiful place in Rome within walking distance from Villa Borghese. Everything you need is nearby. Good restaurants, best shops. Separately, I would like to emphasize the exclusive cosmetics from the luxury Dyptique brand. Their quality cosmetic products are a special addition to everything else that Babuino 181 hotel suits are offering. Thank you for this wonderful stay.

I could not find anything that I don't like

Lovely little hotel with 24 hour staff. Super close to Spanish steps, food and sites. Great find! They went out of their way to make the stay perfect. Even gave us a little booklet with suggestions on where to get the best gelato nearby, as well as around other popular sites. Would definitely return! Oh, and the beds were super comfortable and you can control the air temp easily!

Curtains were blackout but sit far from window so some light around would come in. We used blinders so not a big deal for us. I would suggest freeing up the shutters outside so that they could help block light. Our friends had the room next door and their shutters were free to move closed.

The location of this property can't be beat. Staff - all of them. Professional and friendly with genuine smiles on their faces. To me, this is the most accurate indicator of whether the place is good or not. When even housekeeping can look you in the eye with a smile and let you know they're happy to be working there, you've got a winner.

Absolutely nothing. However, the way the properly is laid out, it might not appeal to some people. If you like your hotel with wide hallways and not too many stairs, please don't book this property, then complain later. You've been informed. I personally would stay at this property every time I'm in Rome.

I'll definitively book it again but I will do it directly calling the hotel. Booking is great until things don't work. I'm genius 3 level and they never got back to me after they messed up with a booking at another location (they even lied about what happened).

This boutique hotel exudes comfortable elegance with a fantastic location near the Spanish Steps, terrific restaurants steps away, and impeccable cleanliness and comfort. We loved the chic atmosphere and charming hotel guidebook. However, the true gem of our stay was the professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and exceptionally helpful concierge, Olga. She definitely made our trip seamless and truly easy with restaurant suggestions, help with taxis, and more. Thank you, Olga!

Big room, very clean. Hotel in perfect position to reach all sites of interest. Very quiet for a hotel in a built up area. When the windows were shut there was no noise at all.

Really picky but would have liked a kettle rather than just a coffee machine in our room. There is a kettle in the lounge though. View from french windows at the back of our room was of a messy, derelict courtyard.

The location is amazing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The beds were huge and comfortable, and Nespresso machine was a nice touch.

The bathrooms were generally clean and well stocked, but there was an odor coming out of the shower drain that was unpleasant. It went away quickly as the water was turned on.

This is a fabulous hotel, the room was spacious,, very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable and in a great location. The bed and pillows were as good as any hotel I've stayed in I can't speak too highly of the staff for whom nothing was too much trouble The hotel not having its own bar and restaurant meant we could enjoy the excellent local, independent cafes, bars and restaurants, each with their own character Overall very highly recommended- 11 out of 10!
