I challenge any reviewer to find a more welcoming and accommodating host than Ursula and her sons. Even before we arrived she communicated regularly with us to ensure she met our every need. Walking through that door we were greeted with the warmest welcome. Every need was accommodated including storing luggage so we could sightsee to arranging transportation to the airport. Food items, coffee and drinks are available 24 hours. The rooms are large, quiet, comfortable and very well appointed. The location overlooks the newly excavated and reopened home of Julius Caesar known locally as the “Area Sacra” or the site of Julius Caesar’s death. The location is centrally located so many of the major Roman sites are well within easy walking distance. We highly recommend the Residenza Gens Julia.

Very welcoming and friendly - felt like staying with friends. They couldn’t do enough for you to ensure you had the best experience of Rome, and we did! It was very clean, comfortable and the breakfast was superb. We had lost luggage which was delivered while we were out and late in the evening but Ursula made herself available to receive this on our behalf. The location was very central and within walking distance to all the major sights like Colosseum, The Forum, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and all the lovely little cobbled streets with its many restaurants and shops. hopefully we can return to Rome one day and would only contemplate this property.

Nice and comfortabe room. comfortable beds. The free kitchen that have cofee machine, fresh fruits, juice, nuts and many other good thing, All accessible 24 hours a day. Location was good for our needs. After the event of difficult check-in, Orsula did her best to help us and the communication was good. Value for price.

Check-in: no person at the door. Too many phone numbers that did not answer for calls and text messages. It says on view: "inner courtyard". this means a pit that holds all the infrastructure of the pizzeria and the resturant on the first floor. better close the windows and use the air-condition.

The manager was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was much more than I had anticipated. The room was quite large, especially based on European standards, clean, and had a wonderful view of the Rome. The manager had tourist guides available for my use, which I utilized throughout my stay there. I also utilized the desk and sitting area in my room each morning, as I “mapped out” my journey for the day. The bathroom was large, clean, and well equipped. There was a TV in the room and the Wi-Fi service worked well. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers visiting Rome.

Such a gem of a place!!! We had such a warm welcome from Ursula who sent us WhatsApps even before we arrived asking if we would like her to hire us a car (which we did for €50 and it was totally worth it) and had breakfast waiting for us when we got there!! The rooms are huge and the bathrooms enormous with amazing heating and a comfy beds. We had a room for 3 so it had 2 full bathrooms which was super useful. It’s 4 minutes walk to the Jewish quarter and walking distance to many amazing sites including Campo di Fiori. We took the buses a lot and there are tons of bus stops close by making it such a great location for literally everything. They put out a wonderful spread for breakfast - it’s so cozy with the rooms being on the same floor as the breakfast / reception - and is so nice to be able to start out your day with good coffee, pastries, fresh fruit and more.

If you are looking for a combination of a 5 star hotel, a high quality apartment and visit your loving Italian relatives that you have always dreamed of.. this is the place for you! The room is very spacious with high ceilings and large windows with a view to ancient ruins. The daily cleaning service is equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The highlight of the accommodation has to be Ursula, who welcomed us like a loving cousin who was waiting for us for years. She has made a tremendous effort to make us feel at home. Open kitchen in the hotel provides a cozy atmosphere with delicious  breakfast served every morning with its facilities available throughout the day. We recommend it very much!!!!!

Everything about this place was exceptional. The location is central to everything and the room is so clean and comfortable. The host, Ursula, is THE kindest person you will ever meet. She greats you with the biggest smile and makes you feel right at home. She is so helpful with transportation and giving suggestions on places to go. The breakfast is so plentiful… I always left with a full belly😊. Thank you so much Ursula for an amazing stay in Rome… you made it perfect. Grazie 🥰

hospitality! Urszula and her husband are extremely polite and nice people; they made our check-in earlier and allowed us to stay untill 5.00pm because our flight was in the evening. they recomended us great places to eat. nothing was a problem for them. our room was spacious and clean, beds very comfortable, breakfast fresh and with a lot of choice. we are very gratefull, because thanks to Urszula our stay was more wonderfull than anytime earlier in Rome

it was noisy, but it is a price for central location. Rome is very noisy, full of life city. and that is great!

Ursula and Renato hosted our family perfectly. They explained about everything (incl. special events in Rome) that we wanted in a simple way, and always fulfilled our wishes. Ursula allowed us to take foods and drinks from the fridge because we have to leave early in the morning and cannot have the breakfast. Having seen that we have kids, they gave us extra snacks and soft drinks without any request from us. We really appreciate their great hospitality. Our room was spacious and cosy where we can see a great view of Roman heritages, and we can reach out to many touristic areas only by walk. The residence is close to Argentina square reached by e.g. bus 40 from the Termini train station. There are plenty of breakfast foods and drinks. We definitely come back here for next stay in Rome!

I don't know who Sergio is, but Ursuela was an angel in disguise. She is the kindest, friendliest and most beautiful person we encountered in Rome. She went over and beyond to help us navigate the city and the sites. She and her son were both very helpful and accommodating. I wish I lived closer so I could visit her often.
