Hotel Varese

Excellent location just a short walk from Termini and in a nice zone for restaurants and drinks. The staff is beyond helpful and we got everything we needed including coordination for private transportation to the airport at a very awkward time of the day. Good breakfast served on site and comfortable rooms.

One detail to mention: sound isolation for our room was just OK, we had some noise leaking over other rooms, not so much from the outside.

Location is very convenient. about six minutes walk to the central station and all the buses going everywhere. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. everything was very clean. breakfast is good, you can order what you want and as much as you want. Denise at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming and smiling. The manager Mr. Maximilian greeted us himself.

I don’t think there is anything that I did not like.

Hotel is located near the main train station (termini) which makes any transportation easy. This is a three star hotel, which has a very nice staff: I had a couple of requests - hotel staff did not ask any questions, they provided everything. The hotel manager was checking how the guests are doing - this is smt very exceptional. Like during breakfast he approaches and communicates. Everything was very very clean - literally shining! There was only thing which was unusual for me (I am not saying it was bad, just unusual) is that you should book the breakfast time a day before (this is written in hotel terms). Booking a breakfast is easy - just scan the QR code in the room and select the preferred time. Kudos to Varese! Thank you guys.

Nothing

The hotel is a couple of blocks away the Roma Termini Station. Close enough to be convenient, but distant enough to be away from the hustle and bustle surrounding the station. Rooms are small, but clean and well-arranged so that we had enough room for our luggage The staff were excellent. They made every effort to be helpful. The one time we did raise a service issue, the general manager went above and beyond to make the situation right.

It would have been nice to have coffee / tea making equipment in the room.

Location was a big plus. Close to the main train station so it's easy to get anywhere in Rome. Staff was really friendly and happy to aswer any questions regarding attractions or facilities. Breakfast was really tasty, room was clean, and bed was really comfortable. There is no view from the windows but I liked it cause it was really calm at night.

Breakfast wasn't a buffer but you had to pick what you want from the menu which was a stuggle with more people at one table. Sometimes you had to remind the staff to bring something a couple of times but overall they were quick to help. No refill of shower gel for a few days although we ran out of it the second day. We had to go to the reception to finally receive it the last 2 days of our stay.

Very friendly staff with a smile on their face. The manager is also kind and attentive to the needs of the guests. Location close to Termini train station, close to tourist attractions, varied breakfast, cleanliness, value for money, excellent. Willing to help guests at any time. Thank you for a wonderful stay! A wonderful team!

Everything was perfect!

The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was really friendly and helping. Location was perfect, just 3 mintues away from Roma Termini in which you can take buses and metros to go anywhere. Overall I’m really glad with my stay at Hotel Varese.

Great assistance from the reception and from the director. Ready to solve any problems arising with professional approach and human sensitivity. And with a warm smile which makes the hotel a nice experience in a big city like Rome

Location was perfect which is why we chose the hotel. AC worked well which was needed in the heat. Breakfast was basic but good.

You get what you pay for. Had to ask for slippers and there was no kettle or iron in the room. Asked for kettle and they provided one from the kitchen. Asked for iron and they gave a steamer which looked like it was about to break. I think the main thing that let down the hotel was the bugs. There were fruit flies in the room and some sort of yellow bug that came from behind the headboard of our bed. It was our last night so we didn’t say anything. We managed to kill it but felt uncomfortable sleeping.

It was very clean, centrally located and staff extremely helpful. A little touch that we appreciated a lot was that there was always a cold drink (we were there in summer when it was very hot) and biscuits at reception free of charge. We were told they had tea instead in winter.

The breakfast was exceptional except that on the last day of our stay they ran out of fresh bread, could only have sliced bread fresh or toasted. The fresh bread was so good that it was disappointing not to have it on the last day. Having said that, the breakfast was really good with a good selection of salty and sweet selection.
