Relais Giulia

Loved ever single thing about Relais Giulia. You can’t ask for a better location in the heart of Rome. It’s walking distance from the Vatican and just a few blocks away from the Pantheon and Fontana di Trevi. The hotel itself is lovely - boutique style with charming rooms on a safe, residential street. The room was clean and comfortable with rustic old world charm. Clean linen, clean bathroom and comfy bed. Great housekeeping. The customer service was exceptional. Our host at the hotel was a kind, helpful, and friendly gentleman who gave us great advice where to get our first memorable meal in Rome. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. We can’t wait to go back to Rome and will definitely be staying again at Relais Giulia.

Charming boutique style property that makes you feel like you are in your own Roman apartment and not just a boring hotel room. We had the S4 suite and it was roomy and fantastic.

This hotel was amazing. We were attracted to it by the good price compared to other hotels in the area. We arrived early in the morning and we were able to leave our luggage there before it was officially our room. We were amazed by the quality and luxury room we were greeted with when we entered later that day. The kind receptionist showed us around our room which included a four poster bed and a sofa bed on a floor above along with a clean and spacious bathroom and some comfy chairs. When we had breakfast there we were amazed by the food; it was a special Easter buffet breakfast which included asparagus omelette, a selection of meats and cakes and a special Easter dove shaped panettone.

We were very happy with the quality overall and cannot think of anything to improve.

This place has everything you need for a perfect stay in Rome. You can walk everywhere from here due to its central location. The room with the balcony was beautiful, clean, and comfortable with very special historical decor. The whirlpool tub was great after a day of touring. The breakfast was good. Importantly, the staff, especially Asci, were wonderful - extremely accommodating with great suggesting for restaurants, helpful in ordering taxis, etc.

Relais Giulia is a lovely historical hotel in the heart of Rome. The rooms are beautiful and romantic. Hotel is situated in a quiet street. All the major historical sites, restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Suites have nice hot tub, perfect for relaxing after long walks in Rome. It should be taken into account that the house itself is quite old; the water pressure can be a bit weak sometimes. The hotel also offers great price breakfast which is simple and good, but there are many other wonderful places to eat near the hotel. The location was amazing, Via Giulia has lots of lovely independent eateries and art galleries and is ideally located close to the river. We walked to all major attractions from the hotel. It’s also very easy to walk to Trastevere for dinner. The room itself was huge and the jacuzzi bath was a lovely surprise.

The only slight issue was there were a couple of things broken in the bathroom. A large glass shelf completely fell off in the night and woke us up, luckily nothing smashed but our things ended up on the floor.

Location was very good. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was great to have available and quite satisfactory (for a price). And the bathroom very good compared to other places. Generally the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Elevator very small, but at least there is one! Staff generally had good advice, but could have been more helpful regarding the hop-on hop-off buses available - where and how they worked.

Staff were super friendly & helpful with any questions we had! Reception kept our bags for us when we checked out & had them out and ready for us when we returned for our taxi. Room was great size & no noise at night time at all! Super easy check in & online room key is very handy (just be sure you have a portable charger so the phone doesn’t die!)

I was a little skeptical about walking down side streets late at night but we were fine every night & you can even get an electric scooter & park right outside the hotel so lots of options!

We had suite three and it was a beautiful room, everything from the decor to the jacuzzi was perfect. We loved the location and the staff were amazing. Loved everything!

My only complaint is around the hot water, it would only last a minute or so and then go lukewarm which wasn't hot enough for us. Also made filling the bath an issue but we still enjoyed using it.

Although Via Giulia doesn’t first look like much it’s very well located. Easy walking distance to lots of great local quarters with excellent shopping and great dining. The small hotel is quite old with small bathrooms. Good value.

Shoot the seagulls that hang out atop neighbouring buildings overnight.

Perfect location, takes only about a 10-15 minute walk to the Vatican and about 20-a 25 minutes walk to the Forum Romanum from the hotel. Trastevere bar and restaurant area is also about 15 minutes on foot. The building and the room is tastefully decorated and is modern at the same time. Bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. Water pressure was very good and there was no mold in the bathroom.

Bit difficult to access the room with my heavy bulky luggage in the narrow corridor.
