The staff are incredibly friendly, and the location of the hotel was great. It allowed for easy excursions and there were plenty of food options around. This isn't a like or dislike, but more advisory. If you arrive by train, I recommend getting used to the bus service as the hotel is quite the trek from the train station, and unless you're used to a lot of walking it may be too much for some. It's a great way to explore the city though!

This isn't a criticism of the hotel at all as they do an amazing job and are working with the space they've got. Even so, the breakfast seating area is unfortunately really small. When there are larger groups staying at the hotel at the same time, it may result in delays getting out to see the sites. We abandoned eating breakfast on one of the mornings as we wanting to get started early and we didn't have time to wait.

The location was fantastic and Vera was very helpful. we had room #8 which overlooked a small street. As the place is at/below street level some of the rooms look out on the sidewalk and that wouldn’t have been so great. The room was large and each room is uniquely decorated in a very Italian style.

It was ok for a couple of days but the lack of places to put things is annoying. There were nightstands, but the storage area was locked. In the shower there was no nook or ledge to put shampoo or soap and just a tiny shelf for toiletries. the closet had hangers that were too big for the closet so not very useful. There was a dresser but it was blocked by the place to put a suitcase. Just a few adjustments would make the room more practical. Also note that from the outside, it’s not obviously a hotel. Just ring the right doorbell and they will let you in.

The location is great. You can access all the main locations from here but it is a quiet neighborhood. All the essentials, like marker and pharmacy, are close by at Piazza Nanova that's 5 minutes walk away. Vincenzo and Vera are fantastic. Willing to help you however they can. Yes, the breakfast is compose of the same items but use your common sense and it will be different every morning. Clean towels, clean sheets. The decoration and furniture are classic, and that's a charm of this place. Lastly, than the gods for a/c in Italy in August.

Wifi was my biggest issue. I stayed in room 5 and the signal was really week from there. So I had to hang out in the eating zone where the router is to have signal. The bed was stiff for my taste.

The hosts, la signora Vera and il signor Vincenzo were exceptional. Very friendly and attended to all our needs. They truly make you feel at home. The room was very large and airy and also had a balcony looking into the back. Being February the room was kept warm and comfortable. The breakfast is very basic but enough and good. Hot water was to my liking as some hotels set it to warm. The room deco is classic yet very comfortable and gives off the sensation of a high end hotel. The location is brilliant, just round the corner from Piazza Navona.

Nothing really ☺️ being a coffee addict ☺️ I asked for a kettle and was given one straight away.

I can surely put 10/10!!Everything was fine: a beautiful apartment near the city center, all was very clean and well equipped. The host offered us everything we needed, the bed and the sofa were very comfortable, the room was nice decorated. The check-in was very easy. Breakfast was very tasty. Special thanks to Vincenzo and Vera! They are very kind and helpful. We will definitely go back there to stay longer. Once again:10/10!!!

I think there is no space for improvement! Everything was perfect!

Location is excellent. One can walk to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, and Castel de SAn Angelo. Termini, Roman Forum, and Fontana de Trevi are not that far either. It is located along the Tiber River and if the weather is nice, you can walk along the river to go see the different bridges. The Vatican is not that far either. Location is not too commercialized so to a bit quieter. Staff is very friendly and hopeful. You also get the feel the charm of the old Roman mansion.

The tub flush to the wall that has a window with a sill where the new modern window sits. This sill/window is now protruding to the tub especially in the middle part limiting the overall space to move on the tub. And the tub is small to begin with. This makes showering a little bit awkward and difficult as your body kept bumping into the handle of the window.

Residenza Ave Roma was extraordinary. Vincenzo and Vera were so professional and friendly, always willing to help. This small hotel is nicely decorated antique style with great taste. Big, comfortable bedrooms, you feel like going into the renaissance period. Breakfast was very good and varied: juice, bread, croissants, jam, cheese, and excellent coffee, of course! The location couldn't be better, less than 10 minute walk to Piazza Navona. On the way, very nice shops and restaurants. Vatican is just across the bridge, very near the hotel. It was an excellent experience. I highly recommend Residenza Ave Roma and would be willing to go there in my next visit to Rome.

Maybe a bit more light in the bedroom...but nothing to worry about really.

A wonderful location, between the Piazza Navona and the River Tiber, opposite the Castel Sant’Angelo. Narrow little medieval cobbled streets lead to and from the nearby Via dei Coronari with its many varied and fascinating shops and cafés. The Residenza Ave Roma is the perfect secluded spot; you wouldn’t know it was there. But Vincenzo and Vero were both so friendly and welcoming, we instantly felt at home. The comfortable rooms are well insulated from the busy road that runs along the embankment, and are well appointed, though a very large person might find the shower a bit small! Breakfast was served in a charming little room near the entrance and provided a great opportunity to get into interesting conversations with fellow guests. Vincenzo recommended wonderful places to eat nearby; restaurants with great food and a lovely atmosphere. We also celebrated our wedding anniversary there, with a little bottle of Prosecco that morning on the house! All in all, we hugely enjoyed our stay at the well named Ave Roma and would gladly recommend it to other visitors.

Location is perfect! The hotel is old, but inside everyting is super clean and nice. Comfortable beds, in the shower you will find everything you need. At breakfast there was a fresh warm croissants, sandwiches, jogurt, cereals, others sweets, also drinks like coffee, tea, juice, the only thing what I missed was cooked or boiled eggs 😃 If I come back to Rome I will definatly choose the same place 👌

Our window was in street side so there was a big noise, so I would rather choose room to other side.

Staff were brilliant. Thank you Vincenza for the suggested walking tour and for your friendliness and helpfulness. Thanks for organising the taxi for our early morning departure and for the early morning coffee! The location was absolutely perfect with easy walk to Vatican / local attractions and bus stops nearby and lovely views across the city from the room. So many good restaurants, bistros and bars just a few minutes walk away. Room was clean, nice and quirky with very comfy bed. How nice to stay somewhere that isn't just corporate but that has real people who are willing to share their time and knowledge with guests. Look forward to returning again.
