What a privilege to stay in this amazing Residence. We had a stunning suite, made all the more special given the private tour by a member of the family explaining the history of the family and the building. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was first rate. It was clean and very comfortable and the location is very central, right in the heart of things near excellent restaurants, shops and walking distance of the major attractions. If you like history, culture and luxury this is not to be missed. We would recommend it very highly.

This is a remarkable property - don't expect a normal hotel with a check-in desk and breakfast of cold meats and cheese, it has neither of these. You are a guest in someone's home, the room was exceptional, the building is utterly beautiful, a 5 meter wide marble staircase takes you upstairs. This is not for someone expecting a normal hotel a bar or roof terrace, it is far more than that without the fluff. We stayed in the Pia suite and had a wonderful evening in peace and quiet, with madness 3 steps outside the large front gate. The butler who manages the guests is very professional and lovely, we enjoyed every minute.

This property is perfect as it is, I intend on staying there every time I visit Rome to ensure I stay in all the suites. Normal hotel room amenities are supplied - no complaints.

We stayed for one night at the Emperor Bonaparte Suite - family of three. We loved the lavish interiors, comfortable beds, fluffy white towels, spacious rooms and have our afternoon tea in the sun room while hearing the pigeons cooing at the veranda. We enjoyed the central location as well as the privacy to the entrance of the building and the suite making it feel more like home. We also had the benefit of having a tour of the palazzo by the owner, which is much appreciated as we learned about the history of the Palazzo and the Ruspoli family. We hope that the book for the Palazzo will be translated in English soon - it would have been nice to have an English version in the room to learn more about the rich family history behind the regal architecture. A big thank you to princess Giacinda and her team for the welcoming and lovely hospitality!

Unfortunately, breakfast was not available during our stay. It would have been a pleasant gesture if a basket of pastries or snacks was available for the families that enjoy lazy mornings. Also, the feeling in the sun room would be more elegant if the plastic plants were real plants as Italy has a rich tradition in stunning low maintenance regional plants. Overall it was a perfect stay that we all enjoyed and highly recommend!

You have to understand when staying here that you are staying in a piece of history. This is a Royal Palace, with a Prince and Princess in residence (father and daughter in this case). It is steeped in history but still very modern so as to be very comfortable. As others have said, if you are looking for a modern hotel with a gym, a cocktail bar etc, look elsewhere. If, however, you want to stay somewhere opulent, historical and very central (it is a few hundred metres from the Spanish Steps), this is the place (indeed the palace!) for you. Of course, if you want a bar and a restaurant, there are hundreds very close by. The butler was excellent but the highlight, other than the surroundings themselves, was that the Princess welcomed us into her home and gave us an insight into her family's long history.

Nothing really! Staying in a Royal Palace didn't prevent it from raining a little!

Rodel was absolutely fantastic! They accommodated us with our bags after checkout which was very helpful. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and much appreciated after a long day of touring.

The only negative comment is that the master room does not have air conditioning so it gets hot and muggy. Traveling during our time in late May was ok but June - August could be unbearable.

If you want to experience the Rome of a foregone era, this is where to start. The historical hallway and marble stairs leading up to the rooms are a spectaculair sight. The rooms are the epitome of authentic Italian charme. Lavishly decorated, spacious and clean. The location is great. The family of the palazzo is very friendly and involved. We had a lovely stay and can recommend it.

Staying at the Residenza Ruspoli Bonaparte was like stepping back in time and becoming part of a noble Italian family. The building, furniture and furnishings were so spectacular and beautiful yet with all the twenty first century comforts and facilities. The location was amazing - a short walk away from the Spanish Steps and the amazing shops of Via Condotti.

We loved everything.

The wow factor of this room is part of the exceptional experience, everything from the sweeping staircases to the massive entry portal was just great.

Only small gripe was the WiFi, but reading previous reviews I didn't expect it so I didn't really miss it
