Albergo Chiusarelli

Albergo Chiusarelli is a beautiful building in its public areas. Having a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner, beautifully prepared, as well as a good varied breakfast menu, is a great plus. The location is great in terms of the historic centre, as well as being about three minutes walk from the bus station, so I required no taxi to depart. All the staff with whom I interacted were very helpful. I was particularly impressed by the waitresses, who were invariably positive and efficient, even when they were literally running to deal with the arrival of a very large number of diners at the same time.

Having a double bed in a single room didn't leave much room for opening my suitcase.

Great location for the city, friendly and helpful staff at the front desk and maids. Good communication ahead of time.

Couple of things: 1. NOISE!! For a property of this age you can hear everything, from the neighbouring rooms toilet activity, people entering/leaving their rooms to the music playing in the restaurant/bar below. As we stayed over the weekend the noise on Saturday night was particularly loud. Maybe it was just our room location but something you may want to consider. 2. There is no elevator so if you are on the 2nd floor with heavy suitcases / mobility issues then you have to navigate a lot of stairs. The kind staff helped to take the luggage up for us on our arrival but on departure we weren’t as fortunate :(

The hotel was very well located and easily found. The breakfasts were good with all the main things one would expect being available. The hotel restaurant is open for dinner and the food was very good - the chef obviously knows how to cook - flavours of both Italian meals we had were perfect!

At breakfast the fruit was placed in a bowl and you had to peel and chop it yourself - that would have been fine if there had been decent knifes available - the blunt ones offered made preparing the fruit difficult!! Only water in fridge - it would have been good if it was better stocked. Only 1 pillow each on bed and mattresses had seen better days. No elevator access to bedrooms made carrying heavy cases somewhat difficult.

Comfortable room in a lovely building which has been beautifully decorated. Breakfast was fresh and ample choices. Hotel is in a good location

Servicing of the room was very limited: bed made each day but not much else. Bins weren't always emptied, coffee cups not cleaned or replaced, only one sachet of coffee when we arrived for a 4 night stay and this was never replenished, bath mat not supplied until day 3. Fridge only had water in it despite there being a list of minibar prices - our fridge wasn't working but it was replaced.

This is a very lovely mid-price hotel in a great tranquil spot just outside the historic centre of beautiful Siena. It's a very attractive building with a pleasant cool interior featuring a quirky illustrated wall on the first floor vestibule. Our room was a good size with a view over the terrace, gardens and the local football stadium. What makes this place special is the friendly, helpful owners and staff. They really were so lovely and attentive. I wish we could have stayed much longer. From the minute we arrived to drop bags hours before check-in it felt like we were being cared for by family. I will return here one day, perhaps in winter as the owner suggested. Oh, nearly forgot, my son has just reminded me that "everyone was friendly and nice but the breakfast was BRILLIANT" - that too 🙂

Nothing. This isn't a budget hotel but is great value for money.

Siena is mainly located in a limited traffic region, so you won't be able to travel by car if you don't have any permission, but that won't be a problem because the hotel is perfectly located to visit all the historical sites, and you can simply walk to anywhere. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and courteous. Everything went smoothly.

It would be great if the hotel allowed you to use the laundry, but owing to the location, there was a nearby automatic laundering facility where you could wash clothes if you're a traveler like me who spends the majority of the time on the road.

Marvelous place to stay 10 minutes from city center. Breakfast was very good, the staff was extremely helpful and kind.

The parking opportunity is a thing that you must reserve in advance, and it is also not free. This misled us, because we thaught that it is included in the price. There is a free opportunity, but You have to walk 7-10 minutes, and also free place is not guaranteed. The Netflix did not work in our room, and the ac was not functioning properly. It was ice cold old hell hot during night.

Great location, you can park briefly outside to drop bags off. Helpful staff. Lovely building. Our daughter had the economy double on ground floor which was great with a bath & traditional Tuscan style wooden wardrobe etc. We had a more contemporary room on 3 rd floor which cost more but was probably only worth the extra cost in terms of being in a quieter location with view over San Domenico & Duomo. Great croissants at breakfast & a good gluten free chocolate cake.

Would have liked a remote control for our air con.

Nice clean room with good en-suite. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. The location is also very convenient as it has easy access for taxis. The main bus depot is 2 minutes walk away for any excursions to other towns nearby. Can walk to railway station but taking a bus or taxi is a better alternative.

The water bottles left in the room are not complementary. Everyone on the tv channels is Italian. As the hotel is catering for tourist seems crazy that there are no tv channels for visitors.

The breakfast was amazing, and the view from the breakfast room was also great. Everything was clean and functional in the room. The location was amazing and everything was a short walk. Plus its also really close to the bus station, so if you get here by bus from Florence you can walk a short distance to it.

As others have mentioned there is no elevator. We didn't mind, but for some, that could be a problem. The TV was small, but these are really small things.
