Palazzo del Magnifico B&B0

Absolutely fantastic location right next to the Duomo, literally four metres away! A really interesting place to stay in the heart of the City, a few minutes stroll to Il Campo, my favourite piazza in the whole of Italy. Filippo was great and made us feel very welcome. All-in-all a fabulous break in a wonderful city in lovely accommodation. Highly recommended.

Nothing to do with the property in question, but it is extremely hard to work out just how difficult it is to run an efficient taxi service from the railway station a few miles from the City and the historic centre. A queue of around twenty people had built up as soon as the train from Florence arrived and scarcely went down during the course of the next 45 minutes, other than through the departure of a handful of people who gave up the ghost and tried to find the bus stop, hidden in the darkest recesses of the nearby shopping centre. Not a good start to our three days in Siena. A bit of advice on the Booking.com site might at least prepare visitors in advance that taxi-drivers in Siena seem to be an endangered species!

We booked the Palazzo, a place with history, spontaneously for a 1 night stay in Siena. Were lucky to find a free parking space outside the town gates and walked a little more than 1km to the Palazzo which is right in the center directly next to the Cathedral. Helpful video description for finding our way by the host. Nice surprise as there were no other guests: Camilla arranged a free upgrade for us for a superior room instead of economy. Surprisingly quiet, and nicely decorated room. Due to the COVID regulations the breakfast had to be arranged outside in a café just around the corner. Perfect solution, good coffee and pastries, but of course it would have been even nicer inside the Palazzo.

We suggest you add duvet covers (the German version ?) instead of just bed sheets (the Italian version ?). Everything else was pferfect. Thank you for the great experience !

Location and the breakfast was great. The room was a bit small as there was no desk to use the wifi but one could use the breakfast room. The alternate place close by for breakfast was nice. The room turned out to be comfortable.

For some reason, our GPS could not find the car park/valet place. We needed to go there first to have ourselves and our luggage delivered to the hotel. We found out later that this was the process. We finally had to call the valet folks to come get us and then they drove us to the hotel and then took the car to their garage. Also, it was not clear that the 30 euro fee for a cark park/ valet was per day and that then one would not need to pay the daily 35 euro car park fee.

Excellent location by rear of Siena's cathedral. Spacious and well equipped bedroom and bathroom. Reasonable cost for room. Very helpful and attentive manager. I would definitely stay there again.

The mattress could have been a little more comfortable - it slightly sagged in the middle. We coped without air conditioning (a decent fan was supplied) but it would have made the stay less comfortable if the weather had been hotter.

Stunning view. Really well located, near the duomo. You have to park the park outsite the city wall which we were expecting but we were lucky enough to find a free parking space. From the palazzo you can walk everywhere in the city center which is really nice. Would definitely stay here again.

A bit of noise during the night but nothing that could disturb our sleep.

I can only recommend the Palazzo del Magnifico B&B for a stay in Siena. The room was absolutely beautiful, the view was amazing - everything was very clean and comfortable. The owner was extremely helpful during our stay, giving recommendations and helping us with bookings. The breakfast was delicious - I would gladly stay again in this B&B during a future trip to Siena !

Nothing, everything was simply great!

The location couldn’t be better. Facilities super cozy and well maintained, room had a good size overall – the staff was super friendly at all times and the car valet service was definitely worth it to avoid any stress around parking.

The B&B has an incredible location, that’s probably why it was pretty loud both nights we were there.

The location cannot be better. The hosts are very friendly and gave us quite some good tips for sightseeing and places to eat. The place is very clean as well. Nice bathroom. Also surprisingly peaceful and quiet.

The mattress was soft and not good for my back. The room is small, but perfect for a couple of days while exploring the city. When you come by car, do not drive to the hotel as that is almost impossible. If you want to drop your bags drive to the duomo instead (one minute walk).

Host was very accommodating and went out fo his way to ensure we had a good stay. The room was spotlessly clean and well decorated. The air conditioning was also a nice perk since it was quite warm.

We had hoped for a better view out our window.

The hotel was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and it was close to all shopping.

The location and getting to it is horrible. Very hard to get to with extremely narrow streets that are not all on a map. Our car GPS got us there finally. Just be aware you can get to it, unload quickly and have to drive back down to park.
