Hotel Duomo

The hotel is in an excellent location near the Duomo and close to Piazza del Campo, so is a great base for enjoying the centro storico. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Friendly and very helpful staff at the reception.

The en suite was an old style Italian shower room with no separation from toilet and hand basin and the whole floor would get wet when showering. The reception messaged me with alternatives for parking ahead of time but even though I'm familiar with Siena, I found finding the hotel to drop my luggage hard and the car parking is a bit of a way away (mainly due to Siena's city-wide ZTL).

Good hotel, fantastic location.

If you come by car, ignore the hotel's instructions. Save yourself the hassle of driving around town and park directly in the Il Campo car park. It is only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Perfect location and closer to the most important sightseeing. The building and facilities were nice and the architecture remains as it was built. It Matches perfectly with the Siena atmosphere.

we were carry on a lot of baggage’s and our room was in 2nd floor and the lift goes only until the 1st floor. During the reservation and receptionist told us that we could call the reception when we arrive at the train station and they would help us to get a taxi. When We got there I called the reception and they didn’t do anything. they just recommended me to wait for a taxi. the problem was that it was around 10pm and the number of taxes were low. we had to wait for many minutes or hour to get one.

Perfect location right in the heart of Siena. very close to the piazza del campo and the main Duomo. also the building is ancient and beautiful. and the guy at the reception is super nice and can recommend you the best places to eat and visit in Siena. for example we asked him were he like to eat and he sends us to a place outside of town and we ate the best Panzanella and artichokes we ever had! Parking is also a huge bonus for us because we travel with a car.

I would change the light in the room from white to a more warmer and pleasant yellow kind of light.

very nice location within the old city, quiet, amazing view from the room, very spacious and clean room, warm in the cold winter in Siena. very good breakfast. very helpful and friendly people working at the hotel. free parking nearby.

the only thing that I could think of was the shower - old style with no separation from the rest of the floor, which meant you had to be careful not to flood the bathroom. but only a minor inconvenience really and nothing major.

The hotel has an excellent location in the historical center of Siena. Our room was very quiet and spacious. The interior needs some renovation, but we had everything we needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.

It was quite difficult to find the address of the hotel, also due to road works nearby. Finding a parking was even more complicated, but we got good instructions from the staff and we succeeded in finding a free parking lot, 300 m from the hotel.

The location is perfect! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Good breakfasts. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is in a very old building of historical Siena^ well modernised. We had a wonderful view from the window!

The shower could have been more comfortable but it was our choice. We preferred beautiful view from the window. The staff warned us beforehand.

The location was ideal! shops, eating places and beautiful buildings to see were were all so accessible. staff were friendly and so helpful. rooms were spotlessly clean. All staff took a pride in providing the best experience for guests

one very slight inconvenience was the arrangement for guests to gain access to the hotel after 11pm. Although keys were supplied, the lift was not accessible and this resulted in climbing up two floors to reach entry to the required floor. This really only affected us on one occasion and was only a minor point.

We like being very close to the Duomo and to the Campo with its ring of delightful restaurants. Breakfast was delicious - lots of variety in meats, cheeses, juices and breads/pastries - and lots of capuccino. Very kindly staff. The staff parked our car in a secure location and brought it back for us when we wanted to leave. Saved us a lot of misery. The hotel sent out a link with directions on how to get to the hotel - there's a recommended gate. There are still VERY narrow streets to navigate, but we eventually got there.

There were problems with the internet so we were "offline" during our stay. The staff were very apologetic - but it wasn't the fault of the hotel - it seems it was a problem with service in the neighbourhood.

Amazing view!! (Room 51, kind of a tower room) Despite not having AC (afaik), it was a well aired and fresh room. The ideal for people sensitive to ACs like me! Hotel is in the pretty inner city - all sights, restaurants, museums.. in walking distance. It's one of those marvelous medieval stone houses that make the beauty of Siena.

No elevator to the room, but that's to be expected. It's a historic building, stone tower. The neighboring building's AC was pretty noisy. No included parking options. Siena doesn't really allow tourist driving the inner city (appreciated!), but with the hotel's discount it still is 25eu per night in the official carpark.
