Massimo and Ada made this place so welcoming. We arrived later than expected however Massimo was super friendly and patient. We were lucky to get a room with an amazing ceiling mural. The facility was located conveniently in the city center with many great food and shopping options.

Due to its location, there are challenges for a taxi to get to the property so pack light. We arrived in Siena from the train station and it was took roughly 30 minutes to catch a taxi so if possible, make arrangements for a driver.

We quickly realized that 1 day was not nearly enough time to enjoy this property. The room was exceptional, the history of the building was mesmerizing, and our host, Ada, was amazing. She genuinely cares about making your stay as comfortable as possible, and is without a doubt the best host that we have ever encountered. The owner, if you are lucky enough to meet him, is the epitome of a proud Siennese citizen- friendly and charming. We will return someday!

Beyond the fact that the room itself was beautiful, clean, chic and comfortable, the staff is really what set the experience apart. They were exceptionally warm, gracious and helpful and were truly a highlight of my short stay, making me regret I hadn't stayed longer. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and to ensure I enjoyed my time in Siena, beyond my time spent at their property. It was a beautiful stay, I highly recommend this place!

Location couldn’t have been more central. You are right in the heart of Siena, no more than a stones throw away from the top attractions. The hotel is decorated so beautifully and the rooms were so clean and comfortable. A special shout out to the staff, in particular Ada, who was the most incredible host - she went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable and we will always be grateful! Highly recommend

The building, room and location are beautiful but it was Massimo’s welcome and hospitality that was outstanding! We couldn’t have dreamt or wished for a better welcome- we were very late getting in and Massimo welcomed us with open arms, walked us to a fabulous restaurant to ensure we got in before the last sitting. We were only a night in Siena but will be back again, and will stay no where else but here! Will be recommending to everyone that will listen!

Absolutely nothing!

This B&B is a family run place steps from both the Campo and the Duomo in Siena. It is in an ancient building, but the rooms have modern fittings that are tastefully integrated into the centuries-old frescoes on the walls. The owner took the time to sit down and give us his personal recommendations for eating and sightseeing - incredibly kind and helpful. Location is as central as can be, with bars and enotecas steps from the building. Impeccably clean and fit out with high-quality furnishings. This place was the highlight of our trip.

the location could not be better. not a hundred yards from il Campo and the Cathedral is just behind it a very short walk. Ada who checked us in and took care of us was fantastic. she made reservations for us gave us an umbrella when we needed one and was just fantastic!!

Stairs with no elevator but other wise nothing but great things to say!!

As a frequent traveler, Residenza d'Epoca Le Aquile is far beyond my expectations!!! The owner was very efficient, kind and passionate, you may see how much he dedicates into the hotel and the city, I did try the restaurants and spot he highly recommend- totally worth it!!!! I am very much appreciated he spent time to put notes and explain the city for me. For the hotel it self, comfortable, elegant, functional. I have stayed in lots of historical hotels globally, normally heritage comes with some structure issues and making you feeling like you only can choose being modern+ functional, or classic with some historical living experiences. It was a big surprises the room was very very comfy and have everything you need in a very high standard. 'details matters' is a really good fit here, you'd never understand how smoothly to staying in the room until you actually live in. On the other hand, as a business traveler, a strong and solid wifi is essential. I didn't expect to have a office level experience (especially the video meetings), but I had it. Which I am genuinely appreciate. Just simply highly recommend it. I enjoyed so much and looking forward to next return.

My stay was too short.

We absolutely enjoyed staying at this wonderful, family-run B&B. The combination of the historic rooms (400 year old wall paintings) and the modern interior made this a unique experience for us. Beautiful bathroom with natural stone! The hosts were beyond helpful and gave us a lot of tips for restaurants and what to visit in Siena. Very friendly, very professional and most of all very warm people! I would highly recommend this place to everyone who travels to Siena!! Something very unique and basically right in the center of Siena! They also have a collaboration with the Il Campo parking which gives you a discount on the 24h parking rate.

Exceptionally helpful courteous family staff! Gentlemen who checked us in marked a great map with dining recommendations, carried our bags to our room and on the day we left even carried our bags to the central taxi stop for our return trip down the hill to the Siena train station . He couldn't have been more courteous or helpful!! Especially in this time of COVID his kindness made all the difference! Cleanliness was superb! Location on a delightful, quiet side street just steps from the Duomo was perfect! I would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Siena!
