Hotel La Colonna

Warm and friendly staff very knowledgeable and advised us how to get to the main attractions. For us it was only a 15min walk. The breakfast was nice. Good size room. Free parking nearby. Roadhouse restaurant right in front, very conveniently located. Good insulation on the windows despite being on the main road.

It was not a hot day but the aircon didn't look too powerful. Despite being a short walk to the main city, there's no pedestrian path for part of it with high walls clouding the view of pedestrians from cars. Be careful.

Staff was simply amazing I can’t say enough on how helpful they were in anything we needed. Rooms cleaned every day the pool was sparkling clean until some younger people showed up and broke a chair left garbage wherever they roamed but staff still quickly got it picked up pool cleaned. I would definitely stay again!

People that came and disrespected the property would be my only complaint.

Very convenient if you have a car and want to visit Siena. You can park your car at the hotel parking for 5 euro or at a free carpark right next to the hotel. The bus stop to get to Siena was right outside of the hotel and it's only a 5 minute ride into Siena. After dinner in Siena, we walked back to the hotel and we felt safe (as long as you look out for cars). The room was comfortable and what we needed for 1 night. It was great to relax by the pool with a glass of wine as well. Breakfast was a buffet and the choice was very decent.

The rooms were very nice with great large bathrooms and big showers. The swimming pool was perfect for the time of year.

Our room faced the road and there was no way to close the shutters so it was extremely loud all night long since the hotel is located directly on a main road. Also it says it’s a 20-25 min walk into the town centre which it is but it is up q lot of extremely steep hills that were a lot in the heat.

Breakfast was quite basic, a bit humble. That was nice that there was a waitress asking what kind of coffee or tea we would like. Then she was suddenly amazed when I asked two cups of coffee for myself. There was a feeling that they assume that every client has just one cup of coffee. Hmm... could I have a third cup?

Coffee was served in cups, tea in pots. Very often in hotels who ask "coffee or tea", they bring also coffee in a personal pot in the table. That would have been nicer.

The room was as expected. The pool was very clean and well equipped with "tan chairs". The breakfast was great: good choice, very fresh and the waitress was really nice and professional. The lady at the reception was so nice and helpful, we had such a pleasant welcome. Everything was very well explained, including a map where she explained how to get to the city and the main points to visit. Thank you so much!

slightly outside the city center and close to bus stop free parking nearby Stefania was kind enough for a free upgrade to a quiet Garden room served the purpose for one night comfy bed

Small and cozy hotel located just outside the centre of Siena. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. It was nice to go for a quick swim in the cozy backyard of the hotel. The breakfast is really nice for it’s price and in general it’s a good deal to stay a night or two here.

The Hotel was Super clean, easily accessible (right next to the bus station), has a supermarket next door. The room was spacious and comfy... has acceptable soundproofing. But the best of all was the host Stefania, she was extremely helpful with eagerness to support by any means while always smiling.

Easy to hop into town. Large rooms nice bathrooms. Loved long open hours on pool. Pool and solaruum were great. AC worked well.

Double bed room bed was very firm.
