The rooms are spacious and the Kin Ha restaurant across the street has a stunning pool, climbing wall, ocean swing and hammock, snorkeling, and free kayaking/ paddle boarding, which guests of Casa Maya have access to. The room has coffee in it for you to make in the mornings. It is within walking distance of Punta Sur, Capitan Dulche, Castilla de Garrafon, and Garrafon amusement park.

The wifi was inconsistent. Even though there’s coffee in the room, my room had no mugs. The location is very far from the center. I decided to stay here for a few nights and then move to the Northern part of the island so I could experience both sides. Kin Ha is very expensive. If you walk north 10 minutes you can go to Nomads hostel which costs less than half as much and still has a beautiful beach you can enjoy. There’s also a local food person across the street from Nomads.

The best part of my stay at Casa Azul Maya was the staff. Their helpfulness, kindness, and respectfulness, were super awesome! I forgot two important medications back in the states. One was not even available on the island. They contacted a local doctor who arranged to have the medication brought in from Cancun at a very reasonable price. They arranged to have a golf cart rental brought to me so I didn't have to go downtown and wait in a line. I could go on and on. Every single day they did something great for me. Their arrangement with the Kin Ha Beach Club across the street is super-convenient place to eat a free breakfast and swim. The other breakfast/swimming option is the Mayan Beach Club downtown. Do it!!! The location of the Mayan Beach Club on Playa Norte is stunning, the food amazing and I was made to feel very welcome. But Your Staff, especially Damian, Angel, and Leslie are the real stars of Casa Azul Maya. The value for what I paid was extraordinary. Will certainly stay again and refer my friends going to Isla Mujeres. The location is on the Southwest coast of the Island, comfortably away from the noise and craziness of downtown, but just a short golf cart away from all that and a minute or two from the beautiful Punta Sur beach. Can't say enough good things about this place! Loved it!

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. The air conditioning was great, it was super clean and the staff go out of their way to make sure everything you need is available to you. Get WhatsApp. That is the easiest way to communicate for free on the island.

A spacious well decorated room. We spent nine nine nights comfortably. Good quality coffee and filtered water are provided. Shower gel, shampoo & conditioner are also provided. The bed was comfortable. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Azul Maya is in a fairly quiet location, but convenient for access to most places. The bus does a circular route & stops directly outside hotel access road to Punta Sur (otherwise a 10/15 min walk) Playa Norte & ferry terminals all 1usd. If you cross the road, turn left and turn almost immediately right, walk a few minutes, you are on the Caribbean Coastline. Breakfast is provided at Kin Ha across the path or Mayan Beach Club (at Playa Norte) restaurants You can have almost any main breakfast dish, and a basic juice like orange or American coffee. ( Latte, fancier juice you pay for it). The breakfast lasted us all day and most were good. You can use the sunbeds at both places and when we stayed it cost a min 300peso each, which you can use against drink or food. This place has a lot to recommend it

There were a few basic utensils missing in the kitchen that could make life easier, such as a fruit knife, microwave dish. Some small maintenance tasks needed doing, our shower holder was broken, so we needed to do hand-held showers. We could have used the rain shower but it was limescaled and went in most directions, not us. The hairdryer sounded like a rocket launch. No English TV channels not even news. The upstairs hotel doing their pressure washing at 7am!

The breakfast was awesome, Kin ha was a nice location to start the day with a good breakfast looking into the ocean. The room and location were good, a outside space like the rooftop pool area that there is no access to would be awesome, it would give the opportunity to cool off at the location rather than having to go to kin ha, don’t get me wrong, having access to the ocean through kin ha is great but there’s a pool that is not available to the guests.

The room was a nice size, the bedrooms were great. But the shower was probably the worst shower I’d ever stepped into, it was very difficult to get the shampoo rinsed off, other than that it was all good.

Damien was great and so helpful and kind. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and the room has aircon and fans. You get access to two beach clubs - one is opposite the hotel called Kin Ha and the other (Mayan Beach Club) is on the main beach which was our favourite. However not everything is included for instance their swimming pool is only for their in-house guests and you still must pay 300 pesos towards food and drink if you use the sun beds (usually they charge extra 100 per chair which Casa guests are given for free) We were given towels to use whilst there. Kin Ha breakfast was no where near as good as Mayan Beach but is a nice place to watch the sunset and have a drink. they also offer water sports there for Casa Azul guests and unfortunately didn’t have time to do these. Isla Mujeres was the favourite part of our trip. Don’t miss this island!

The location is not on the best side of the island however we knew this when booking and we rented a golf cart through the property which was helpful and also added to our experience being able to explore the island. The shower did not always have hot water. WiFi connection did not work well for us. Our bed did not have a duvet cover and only a sheet. There was a blanket in the closet however it was a bit dusty and not big enough for the both of us.

Rooms: Very nice basic suites, with everything we needed during our stay. It was very nice to have daily housekeeping, fresh drinking water supplied, and a basic kitchenette to make coffee. Location: The hotel is closer to the South end of the island, which we actually really liked, because it was a lot quieter than the North end. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, which we enjoyed (Kin Ha, The Joint, the food market at Nomads). It's a quick taxi to the North end (around 120-150 pesos). We didn't get a golf cart, and honestly wouldn't if we went again. Taxis are readily available. Amenities: Probably our favorite feature, and the reason we would definitely stay here again, is the agreements Casa Azul has with 2 other Beach Clubs. With the Casa Azul bracelets, we were able to eat breakfast and use the beach chairs at both Kin Ha (literally across the street) and Mayan Beach Club on the North Beach. This was great value, as breakfast alone was worth about 200 pesos/person, and we weren't charged to use the beach chairs in either location. The breakfast is better at Mayan, but we used both locations fairly evenly.

There's no outdoor area to sit and lounge at the hotel. We sat on the narrow balcony in the evenings, but it would be nice to have somewhere we could sit during the day/evening without having to be down at the Kin Ha, which is quite noisy.

The rooms are amazing, Damian is a wonderful concierge, he made us feel so welcome. The location is very near the beach through a beach club where breakfast is also served. There are other beach access options too and the ruins of the goddess ixchel are beautiful and a lovely early morning walk (aboit 20 minutes) . This was my favourite hotel during our road trip. Far from fhe center but great area, very peaceful.

We been to Isla many times and have migrated to the south end to get away from the congestion by the pier and North Beach. The location is great , 10 minute golf cart ride to town but quiet and safe. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. If you are looking for posh and amenities, stay in Cancun. This area is as low key and chill as you can get and still stay in s really nice place

We were disappointed that the large rooftop U-shaped pool is for the private house attached. But the use of the beach club across the street was acceptable. Pictures and description was deceiving

The breakfast was good as well as the other food and drinks at the restaurant. It was easy to get to the beach club for breakfast. The further away breakfast option was also good. The staff was very kind and helpful with anything we needed. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Walking options for more restaurants and/or bars would be nice. We did have some rainy weather so we didn’t get to explore on foot but it didn’t seem like there was any places to walk to. There were some options not far but definitely need a golf cart or taxi which was very easy to do.
