Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets - Adults Only - All Inclusive

It is a beautiful brand new resort and the butler service is amazing. The restaurant/bar staff are all so kind and helpful.

There are staff around the resort/in the restaurants with other business owners (wedding planners etc) and in the restaurants these staff/people were getting faster service than paying guests. The sales man who took over half an hour of our day trying to sell us a Hyatt hotels unlimited membership. Our room wasn’t made up one day at 4.30pm. Received no apology or anything. We were there celebrating our honeymoon and expected a bit more for the price.

The Impression all-inclusive luxury resort inaugurated in Isla Mujeres in May 2023 and we stayed in 5 nights mid-August. This is our un-biased (not sponsored) review: Arriving by catamaran from the port of Cancun - Marina Hacienda del Mar - you are greeted by your personal butler - in our case Alexis, whose hospitality exceeded our expectations - who will show you around the hotel and its facilities: A rooftop terrace with infinity pool, 3 pools overlooking the bay, and a magnificent pontoon offering a wave-free beach with turquoise water (and a slide to jump into!). The views are breathtaking you can’t get enough of it (see pictures). Restaurants: SAKE - Japanese fusion where every dish is good (we tried it all). The teppanyaki experience is also a must. WILDFIRE - steakhouse with a wide choice of meats and side dishes. Lobster mac and cheese and entraña highly recommended. SPEZIA - Italian style that has nothing to envy of the restaurants on the Italian coast (where I live). Focaccia, burrata, fritto misto and lobster tagliatelle are a must. LA VISTA and MERCATO offer Mexican and international cuisine, as well as an à la carte breakfast. CACAO - coffee shop with delicious pastries, open 24/24. Bars: UNIK - rooftop cocktail and party bar with DJ ISOLA - lobby bar with a wide selection of cocktails SHARK - friendly pool bar TEMPLE - pre/after dinner terrace with themed nights BEACH - actually a hidden bar with an excellent daily sunbeds service, thanks to the hospitality and proactivity of Elio and José. The ROOMS are spacious, the equipment modern and the materials splendid. Our air-conditioning was faulty, which led to an immediate upgrade, thanks to the responsiveness of Alexis and Muriel at the front desk. ACTIVITIES are listed daily and sent to you via message by your butler. They include: Meditation and yoga, arts and crafts, mixology, sunset watching on a catamaran, live music and romantic dinners.

What isn’t there to like? This hotel by far was the best I’ve seen and I’ve travelled around the world a fair bit. Everywhere you looked it was perfect, you felt the luxury feeling as soon as the boat picks you up. The butler service Omar was fantastic and all staff in the whole resort were exceptional.

Get air or fans for the elevator other than that everything was great.

No air in the elevator, climbing 81 stairs every time we went to the beach, please get an elevator

The property is gorgeous! Awesome view from the rooftop pool.

The food is bland, the glass water bottles are reused and returned to your room with the seal broken. Everything closes at 10 PM. Room service food quality is lack luster.

The property was beautiful, no doubt about it. Views were very nice and suites were clean and nice.

The staff. I feel very bad but the staff (aside from the staff from the bottom natural pool) was horrible! The butlers are useless, I could not by the life of me figure out why they were offered to guests as whatever you asked from them was imposible for them to do. They would follow you around but could not bring you a drink, towel, medicine, nothing. The food was disgusting and even after I told the waiters and chefs about my food allergies, they suggested a plate that gave me a strong allergic reaction. I almost had to be sent to the hospital but the doctor came up to my room and gave me a shot of medicine! I was not offered an apology from the hotel let alone a free chocolate, nothing. These people are sketchy. There was one guy Carlos who called us every morning at 8am trying to sell a membership and give us some “coupons”. The whole membership thing was so creepy! The staff would almost force some guests to have a 90 minute lunch with them so they could talk about the membership. This hotel felt like a White lotus situation and it was just an awful experience. Many other luxury hotels out there, do not go for the views.
