Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and really nicely decorated/appointed. Situation right on the bay with a dock in front and access to salt water swimming was great. It doesn't have a true "beach" in the sense that there isn't sand reaching right down to the water. But there is a sandy area to sit and great lounge chairs and hammocks facing out to the beautiful bay view. We swam off the dock and it was just fine. Pool was nice, too, although the water was a little on the cool side (colder than the ocean water). We really appreciated the high quality decor. Overall, it was a great place to relax and enjoy the water and a good value. We loved the included breakfast right on the dock by the bay.

Location was a little awkward in that it is about 1.5 miles from the town where most of the restaurants are, and the hotel didn't really serve lunch or dinner. Not a bad walk for young, healthy people, but a little long for us. It turned out to be easiest to take a taxi into town, and then take the bus back. You also need to make that trip if you want to enjoy the nice beaches of the Playa Norte (however, they are quite crowded).

The property is so cozy and secure. The pool is amazing and so clean.

I DID NOT like the Donald Trump 2024 cornhole game! I found it quite offensive and do not think that a property that I go to in another country should be displaying it’s political candidate. Regardless of Democrat or Republican, with such a display, you are certain to offend someone. I won’t parade my beliefs or candidate and would expect you to do the same. I would venture to guess that most people that come to another country for vacation, certainly don’t want to see political candidate endorsement. Because of this, I will not stay at the property again. I stayed at Bahia Tolok in July and September but will not stay again!

Staff were nice, the manager was very helpful and friendly. The place itself is really nice, by the water but lack in available amenities for guests, the space is not used well.

The restaurant is pretty much closed. We were told it opens until 4pm but they only have a breakfast menu. We went to get a coffee one day and they said the coffee machine was broken, it was fixed and we tried again the next day at 9am but we were told the person that made the coffee had not arrived yet. There’s lots of spirit bottles but no one to make cocktails so the only drinks available to have by the water or pool is coke, orange juice or beer.

Cute boutique hotel. Well maintained. Staff were great. Room was cleaned daily and the air worked good. They were good to respond through Booking messenger to questions.

Little confused on payment as we booked with our credit card on booking and was listed as no down payment. Shortly after I got a message via booking messenger from the hotel I needed to pay a deposit to hold the room through pay pal that was due 24hr after booking. I did call Booking agent and they were of no help or follow up. Seemed suspicious but after investigation was legitimate. They sent a pay pal link for deposit and then you pay the rest when you check in. Booking should work with property to better disclose this. Why does Booking need my credit card when it all ran through the hotel in the end. With all the scams out there it should be more clear. I feel that is on booking and not totally on the hotel.

We (three people) spent ten days in apartment no. 4 and had a fantastic time. The apartment has two big bedrooms, a nice bathroom, a kitchen with basic appliances and a big fridge and freezer, and a wonderful terrace where we could relax in the morning and afternoon. The common outdoor area is very nice with a pool and sunbeds, and a bar/restaurant. The layout and decorations gives it an "island vibe" and I think it is much cozier than the bigger hotels in the centre. It is all very nicely kept and clean. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We walked to the beach/centro in the mornings when it wasn't too hot yet, but it is very easy (and quite cheap) to get a taxi outside the hotel. We used a taxi to get to Punta Sur and Chedraui (supermarket), but you can also rent a golf cart. All in all, I would recommend Bahia Tolok if you want a nice, quiet place to stay just outside the tourist centre. Would definitely go back.

The location was great. close to the fray of nightlife and shops in the north end, but close enough to the southern quiet area too. snorkeling at Garrafon de Castillo was a highlight of our trip. The entrance was so welcoming. the hammock chairs everywhere were so nice to relax in. The grounds were comfortable and inviting. Francis at the front desk was friendly, fun and helpful. The breakfast area was comfortable and lovely. food was good. fresh squeezed OJ was fabulous. The coffee bar was delicious.

it would be nice if the couch was a little larger and the addition of hooks in the shower/bath area would be fabulous to hang wet swim suits on or towels. (nowhere to hang towels). the safe in the room was too small to accommodate a computer and it did not work.

Location is awesome, close to everything. We rented a golf cart so it was only a few minutes drive to anywhere we wanted to go. The property is super clean and the grounds well maintained. Next door to a convenience store for incidentals. Great pool and a quaint little beach area. The property was exactly as described in the listing and the pictures were current.

We ran out of hot water each shower. The water heater was very old and I am sure in need of replacement. The bar closes at 3:00 p.m. It would have been nice to grab a night cap but there are other bars available a block or two away. We checked out on a Sunday and asked the front desk to call us a taxi. He made a couple of calls and then told us there were none available. Just kind of left us hanging. We were able to flag down a passing golf cart and those people gave us a ride.

Lovely pool, we had it to us mostly to ourselves. Enjoyed the patio in front of our family room. Staff was helpful with arranging taxi and ordering pizza.

Restaurant turned out to be closed so we went to a place next door for lunch, had to buy drinks in the supermarket and ordered in pizza for dinner. Communications could have been better so we could have looked for alternatives sooner. Because there’s few alternatives within walking distance, we would have rented a minicar to be more mobile.

The room and overall facility was far better than we expected. Photos from the website were great, but in person the place really comes together as a well appointed, nicely scaled tropical paradise. The room had everything you need for a comfortable base to start and end a day on the beach or experiencing the many day trips available. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom huge. The small counter area was great for enjoying a snack or re-heating leftovers from wherever you may have ordered too much fantastic food from. Having a refrigerator with freezer was great just to keep food, drinks, and ice on hand in the room. The use of water and plantings in the outdoor areas made our outdoor patio, the eating area deck, lounge areas and their small private beach feel like a hidden oasis. Being located on one of the main roads on the island, traffic was never a noise issue, nor did we ever feel unsafe while on the island. Julian at the desk was such a great help with local advice and arranging transportation whether by taxi or renting a golf cart. He graciously took us by our golf cart to the ferry for an excursion to Chichen Itza, and returned it to the rental agency for us. We bought the continental breakfast package with our room, which was a filling meal to start the day with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal or granola, coffee and toast. Our server Christian was a friendly face every morning, providing local tips, answering questions, and extending the unforgettable hospitality everyone shared with us while there. The staff's English language was exceptional, and I felt bad that my lack of Spanish language skill was so evident that I couldn't politely reciprocate a simple gracious courtesy in the home language. This is truly a wonderful place to stay. A real value.

There wasn't a single disappointing item regarding the facility or staff.

Treat yourself, your family, to an exceptional hotel experience. Brand new, with beautiful attention to detail in every aspect of architectural and interior design. Water front, quiet yet well located with gorgeous views. Delicious food, creatively prepared and served, all with iyour feet in the sand. Extraordinary staff, so helpful and kind!! Super comfy beds. You will love every moment of your stay,,!!

Cannot wait for the restaurant to also serve dinner!! We would never leave!
